Nikola Glisic is a Serbian actor who cuts an impressive figure on screen, representing the new wave of young Serbian cinema who are attracting attention for bold performances on stage and screen.
Nikola has carved a path for himself with an attention-grabbing lead role in director Stevan FIlipovic's Pored Mene (Next to Me) - 2015's most popular domestic film in Serbia and an award winner at the Sarajevo and Pula international film festivals. The pair worked together previously on the director's controversial international smash Sisanje (Skinning) (2010).
Screen success has translated into media interest, with Nikola being called on for TV commercials and sponsorship opportunities, as well as extended photo features in leading titles such as Esquire magazine.
From Nikola's youngest school days, being an actor was one of his goals, and his first break came when he played in the Dadov Theatre while still in high school. While always continuing to pursue his theatre studies, Nikola attended the Nikola Tesla School of Electrical Engineering, before studying tourism at the University of Belgrade.
Since focusing on a career on stage and screen, Nikola quickly found success on TV and in advertising, including a high profile Apple MacBook Air campaign. Going forward, Nikola plans to concentrate on using his screen value to attract even more challenging roles that allow him to develop and explore his identity as an actor.
