On Friday, the trio dropped the new track “Stay in the Dark,” the first single off their upcoming crossover pop album My Bad Imagination, due later this year.

Around 2012, the world of mass entertainment events discovered the bizarre allure of the hologram. Projections of singers passed or just not physically present began to appear at music festivals and awards shows. Jaws dropped, Facebook feeds exploded and commercial holograms seemed like they were here to stay. The Academy of Country Music Awards took over At&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, on Sunday night, bringing with it a bunch of stars. Hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan kept the show rolling, while Miranda Lambert met up with Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon backstage. Jason Aldean and his new wife, Brittany Kerr, walked the carpet together, as did Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo, and Jamie Lynn Spears and Jamie Watson. There was even more star power there with favorite groups like Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, and The Band Perry arriving in bunches. Taylor Swift was honored with one of the 50th anniversary milestone awards, and she her mom, Andrea, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, shared personal stories on stage as Taylor accepted the statue. In the last 12 years, only four groups have won Vocal Group of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and all are nominated again this year: Rascal Flatts (2002-2008), Lady Antebellum (2009-2011), Little Big Town (2012), and the defending champs The Band Perry (2013). Beyonce is full of surprises!  Queen B gave a surprise performance on Tuesday night for Stevie Wonder's Grammy tribute at Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live, where she rocked the stage in a sexy, sequined mini. The "Flawless" singer was hotter than ever in the Michael Costello dress and fishnets, as she kicked off the night with a performance of "Fingertips Pt.2". Los Angeles - The Band Perry were already at work on their third studio album. A Grammys win though? More wind in their sails. The trio spoke backstage at the 2015 Grammy Awards after earning the honor for Best Country Duo/Group Performance off of their song "Gentle on My Mind." "We've been nominated three times," Kimberly Perry said of their first win, mentioning that just earning nods is "life-changing." She said that watching Alicia Keys perform on the awards show almost a decade ago was a big turning point for her. "I turned to the boys, and said 'We just gotta find a way to get there.'" The Band Perry won the Grammy for best country duo/group performance on Sunday. Their song "Gentle on My Mind" beat out "Somethin' Bad" by Miranda Lambert with Carrie Underwood, "Day Drinking" by Little Big Town, "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" by Tim McGraw with Faith Hill and "Raise 'Em Up" by Keith Urban featuring Eric Church. This is The Band Perry's first Grammy. The 57th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J for the fourth year in a row, are airing live on CBS.

Miranda Lambert has done it again.

The reigning Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year is up for eight awards at the 2015 Acm Awards, leading the pack with more nominations than any other artist. The full list of nominees was unveiled on Friday, Jan. 30, after Entertainment Tonight's own Nancy O'Dell revealed the first category on Thursday's show.

Lambert is up for the Acm's top awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the year. (No surprise there: it’s Lambert's ninth consecutive nom in the latter category!)

But the boys are hot on her heels. Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line scored seven and five nominations respectively, while Eric Church, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan are up for four awards each.

The 50th annual Acm Awards will air live on Sunday...

Every year the Academy of Country Music Awards honors the biggest and brightest stars in the business, and for 2015 there are plenty of worthy contenders.

This morning (January 30) the Acm unveiled the list of nominees, with Miranda Lambert landing a total of eight chances for glory.

Along with Lambert, Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan will all compete for the coveted Entertainer of the Year title.

Dierks Bentley will do battle in seven categories including Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
