Only a few weeks remain until the next installment of Doctor Who enters Disney+. Starring Ncuti Gatwaas the Fifteenth Doctor and Russell T. Davies as the series showrunner, this next installment will feature eight new episodes and a new companion. Now, we know what these new episode titles are called, hinting at what's to come in this "wibbly wobbly, timey wimey" British science fiction series.

According to the official Doctor Who website, Season 2's episode titles are "The Robot Revolution," "Lux," "The Well," "Lucky Day," "The Story & The Engine," "The Interstellar Song Contest," "Wish World," and "The Reality War." While the plot for most of these episodes remains unknown for the time being, it is safe to assume that the sixth episode takes inspiration from The Eurovision Song Contest. According to The Mirror, the episode in question is said to be the "most expensive" in the sci-fi series' 62-year history.

Fans will see the return of the Sea Devils, originally a Classic Who adversary last seen in The Legend of the Sea Devils against Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor. Recently it was announced that, in addition to Jemma Redgrave, Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alexander Devrient, and Ruth Madeley, the cast would continue to fill out including Gentleman Jack alum Vincent Franklin.

With The War Between The Land and Sea continuing production, current Doctor Who boss Russell T Davies has shared insight on where filming currently stands and the challenges that the project has faced. Davies confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that a spin-off centered on an uprising by classic series villains, the Sea Devils, was in development. The War Between The Land and Sea will be led by Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in new roles, and see several familiar characters from Unit face the underwater menace, including Jemma Redgrave's Kate Stewart, Alexander Devrient's Colonel Ibrahim, and Ruth Madeley's Shirley Ann Bingham.

Officially announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the spinoff will be set at Doctor Who's timeless Unit base and has already cast the likes of Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Russell Tovey, Jemma Redgrave, Alexander Devrient, and Ruth Madeley. The cast of the latest Doctor Who spin-off is shaping up. After showrunner Russell T. Davies posted to Instagram that production had begun on The War Between the Land and the Sea, we now have our first look at the cast, including some surprise additions. In a post to social media, the cast posed for a photo after the table read. Cast members such as Jemma Redgrave, and Russell Tovey were there as expected, but shockingly, fans also got to see that Ruth Madeley is now among the cast.

The War Between the Land and the Sea is ready to be waged, now that filming is underway on the new Doctor Who spinoff announced at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The five-part spinoff stars Russell Tovey (Quantico) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Loki) alongside fellow franchise vets Jemma Redgrave (as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart) and Alexander Devrient (as Colonel Ibrahim).
