Joshua Daniel Hershfield is an American/Canadian/Israeli actor, writer, singer, and musician. He studied at Berklee College of Music, Antioch College, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He trained with Hollywood acting coach Gene Bua and he trains in voice with New York opera coach John Koch. He holds a Master's degree in Holocaust Studies from Haifa University where he was an Azrieli Foundation Scholar.
He has appeared on stages in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Europe, and his songwriting, composition, singing, and guitar work can be heard in numerous film, TV, and commercial soundtracks, as well as theatre and dance productions. His writing has been honoured at ScreamFest and the San Diego Film Awards, and his rock opera about Jewish women resistance fighters won the 2021 Bela Zarhi Prize from the Ghetto Fighters' House in Israel.
He is a lifetime martial artist, a master of Soo Bahk Do, a Korean style of martial arts, and has been with his teacher, Master Dae Kyu Chang, since he was ten years old.
