Was turned down multiple times for her role of Betty Cooper in Riverdale (2017) as were several of her fellow castmates for their respective characters. Only Cole Sprouse who portrays Jughead Jones was cast on the initial try.

She is of German and French-Canadian descent.

Resides in Los Angeles, California.

The best stuff happens when you take a chance. When you risk something and do the thing that the other people are taking a chance on, on a network kind of level, they will be rewarded. You know, risk-reward.

There's no difference between my persona on Twitter and Instagram and in real life.

Some people say the things I do are annoying because I'm intentionally trying too hard to be relatable, but I'm really not. It's never really been my intention; I've never gone out of my way to be relatable to anyone. I just say what I want, and I'm pretty blunt about things.

To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are... because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month... all to fit in a fucking dress? So wrong. So fucking on 100s of levels. To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting. I do not say the things that I say because I want to be relevant or get attention. I speak up because I don't see enough people with large platforms calling out toxic behavior in our industry. Some people will never understand where I'm coming from and that's okay.

[future mature roles] I have a lot of sort of dramatic, deep roles in my future after Riverdale. Definitely roles that you have not seen me in. I'm an adult! I'm an adult woman and I'm going to start playing those more adult roles. That's what's on my horizon, and I could not be more excited.
