Actors from Broadway’s Newsies, Suffs, and other stage productions are doing their part to encourage people to vote. The actors released a video featuring a medley of remixed Newsies tracks, including renditions of “Carrying the Banner” and “Seize the Day” reframed for the 2024 election.
Similar to the Broadway Newsies production, based on the 1992 Disney film of the same name, the remix video begins with newsboy Jack Kelly rallying an army of townspeople to participate in the next election. “Running your mouth don’t change nothing, spot,” Jack said in the video.

The project is for Broadway Votes, the theater industry’s largest organized get out the vote effort, and features a remix video of Newsies’ “Carrying the Banner” and “Seize the Day” numbers. The project reunites the film’s director Kenny Ortega with composer Alan Menken and lyricist Jack Feldman. It’s the first time they’ve re-teamed since the film.
The songs are reframed for the 2024 election and newly re-recorded. The video – watch it above – was filmed at the Connelly Theater in Manhattan’s East Village.

Congratulations to Haleigh Broucher and Alex Caruso!
The Big Brother alum got engaged to the NBA player and she shared it all on social media.
Haleigh was part of the Big Brother 20 cast, playing the game during the Summer of 2018.
She had a strong alliance, but they turned on themselves as the Level Six alliance (the other side of the house) planted seeds of doubt.
Tyler Crispen, Angela Rummans, and Kaycee Clark led the Level Six alliance, with Kaycee beating out Tyler to become the Big Brother 20 winner on finale night.
Haleigh finished in seventh place that summer, but she was an interesting player and should get invited back for a second chance.

A reunion of Big Brother 21 cast members recently happened under the bright lights of Broadway.
A trio of BB21 alums hung out in New York City with their significant others and shared a special moment.
These folks were featured during the Big Brother season in the summer of 2019.
BB21 was the season that Jackson Michie won, with Holly Allen finishing as the runner-up.
Nicole Anthony, who was at the Broadway reunion this past week, finished in third place on BB21 and was named America’s Favorite Houseguest. She returned later for Big Brother 22.
Ovi Kabir, who finished 15th place and was the second person evicted on BB21, was also there as they joined Tommy Bracco for a performance of his Broadway show. Tommy finished that season in fifth place.

Big Brother 21 is about to celebrate its fifth anniversary and many cast members have been in the news.
It has led to some fan questions about the relationship status of Jackson Michie and Holly Allen.
Jackson and Holly had an intense Big Brother showmance in Summer 2019, leading to them trying to continue that relationship in the real world.
As a quick reminder, an underlying twist from the BB21 cast was that two people knew each other outside the house.
Christie Murphy had been in a relationship with the aunt of Tommy Bracco. They kept it under wraps, but it certainly helped the duo last longer in the game.
This was also the season where Nicole Anthony was named America’s Favorite Houseguest as she found a way to survive a strong eight-person alliance that had controlled the house.

Big Brother season 21 star Tommy Bracco is engaged to his boyfriend, Joseph Macli. Tommy is a Broadway performer from Staten Island, New York, who placed fifth on the reality competition show in 2019. He and his Final 2 partner Christie Murphy were able to keep their preexisting friendship a secret until Christie was evicted. It was an iconic alliance in Big Brother history. Tommy most recently competed on The Challenge: Ride or Dies with his fellow Big Brother 21 alum and close friend Analyse Talavera.
In his personal life, Tommy had been dating Joseph for over two years before he proposed to him. Tommy shared the happy news of his and Joseph's engagement in an Instagram post. He wrote, "We’Re Engaged!!!!" calling the day a "dream come true." He revealed that their engagement occurred in their "future house," which was "covered in photos from our past adventures & memories, standing on ground where we’ll create new ones.

Both parts of The Challenge: Ride or Dies reunion special have officially aired, and it's time to break down the biggest reveals from the event. After a long season, the majority of the cast returned to look back on the most dramatic moments and settle some ongoing conflicts. Hosted by Maria Menounos, the reunion special spanned over two parts and was only missing a few ride-or-die pairs like Tommy Bracco and Analyse Talavera, Kim Tränka and Colleen Schneider, Turabi "Turbo" Çamkiran and Tamara Alfaro, Sam Bird and Kailah Casillas, and Emmy Russ and Nam Vo. Other than those missing couples, the entire cast returned to relive the eventful season.
There was a lot of ground to cover during the reunion, considering how many challenges the competitors faced and the sheer volume of relationship drama crammed into the 19 episodes. Although Tori Deal and Devin Walker won The Challenge, the focus didn't stay on them for long.

After announcing he will be on the new show The Traitors, Cody Calafiore's fellow Big Brother alum have been reacting to his new role. Cody got his rise to fame when he first competed inside the famous house during season 16 of the show. Cody played a more low-key game while also working closely with season winner Derrick Levasseur. Cody ultimately came in second place on finale night.
Because he was such a good competitor on his first go-around on the show, Cody later returned for Big Brother: All Stars in 2020. This time Cody won the All-Star season, taking home the half-a-million-dollar grand prize. Knowing he came just shy of winning the cash prize during his first season, Cody played a harder game his second time around. In doing so, Cody made some enemies inside the house with players he was once friends with. For example, on finale night Cody...

The reality TV star brings experience from another popular show, CBS’ Big Brother, which has brought several recent champions to The Challenge.
Analyse also nearly appeared on a previous season of MTV’s competition series but didn’t make the final cut. Now she gets her chance to shine and show her skills.
Being new to the MTV show gives her a bit of a disadvantage from the start, as she may not have too many allies in the game.
Thanks to the show’s theme, she’ll have a partner with her, but it’s a fellow rookie, meaning they might have to look elsewhere for help staying in the competition.

Michael Bruner picked up his fifth comp win and fourth Veto this week on “Big Brother 24” when he won Otev. Sure, he was also aided by Terrance Higgins throwing it to him in a misbegotten attempt to save Daniel Durston, but still, a win is a win. That also means that his festie bestie Brittany Hoopes is in the “Bb” annals as a co-winner of Otev even though she was the first one to be eliminated from the comp. As a superfan, Michael is no doubt aware of the Otev curse and the fact that Cody Calafiore broke it in 2020 when he became the first Otev champ to win the whole game in the same season. That didn’t kick off a new trend, though, since Alyssa Lopez was evicted in seventh place last season. Can Michael or Brittany become the second?

Alyssa Lopez won Otev this week on “Big Brother 23” — or technically, she was thrown it by Kyland Young, who wanted her to win so he could get the second Veto since he bet on her in Veto Derby. No matter, she’s still in the “Bb” record books now as an Otev champ. The good news for her is that the Otev curse has been broken, by Cody Calafiore last year, but the bad news is that she’s unlikely to pull a Cody and win the whole shebang.
Until Cody last season, nobody had won the iconic Veto comp and gone on to win the season. Otev was introduced in Season 7, the first all-stars installment, in 2006 and has been played every year except Season 10. Here are all the Otev champs:
Season 7: Janelle Pierzina

It’s the end of an era. With Cody Calafiore‘s win on “Big Brother 22” on Wednesday, the Otev curse is has been broken as he became the first Otev champ to go on to win the game.

Otev is making its grand return to “Big Brother” this week, and we just have to say two things: 1) If its identity isn’t mask-themed, then what is the point? 2) Good luck to whoever wins because no Otev champ has gone on to win the $500,000.

Big Brother Season 21 was the most toxic season in recent memory.
With racist comments, demeaning comments towards women, and everything in between, it's a season fans would like to forget.
However, some of the cast members have come under fire again after a group chat leaked on Twitter that included racially insensitive remarks.
Nick Maccarone and Jack Matthews stirred controversy when the former suggested that Jack would shoot something black on a reunion trip arranged by Holly Allen, and that there would be "uproar."
Jack said that he would use a "kill shot."
The cast of the controversial season has been commenting on the incident.
Kathryn Dunn responded to it, but later deleted her tweets and saying the following:
“I deleted the tweets, not because I didn’t mean everything I said but because some people took it the wrong way,” she wrote.

Nicole Anthony lost “Big Brother 21,” but she also won big. The third-place finisher had been America’s sweetheart all summer long, an amiable fan favorite on a season marred by quite a few controversies. And so it was no surprise that she was voted America’s Favorite Houseguest, pocketing a cool $25,000.
Well, except to her. The preschool aide told us that it never crossed her mind that viewers would like her. But she’s also aware she was the underdog of the season and probably could’ve won the whole thing over Jackson Michie and Holly Allen had she been able to get to the final two. Get more of her thoughts on her showmantic final three predicament, if she regrets listening to Cliff Hogg III and evicting Tommy Bracco, and why she now hates clowns below. (Check out our interviews with Jackson here and Holly here.)

Holly Allen made it 83 days before getting nominated on “Big Brother 21” — and that was because she was the only option left. But the last two weeks were kind of torturous for her, between nearly getting evicted at final five if it weren’t for Jackson Michie‘s lie about Tommy Bracco to save her, throwing the final four Hoh to honor her deal with Cliff Hogg III and Nicole Anthony, and actually considering — really! — taking Nicole to final two over her season-long showmance.
In the end, she didn’t have to make that decision, as Jackson won Part 3 of the final Hoh and took her, culminating in a 6-3 win for him. The wine safari guide is Ok with the loss, but she’s still conflicted about some other things. Find out in our exit interview below. (Check out our interviews with Jackson here and Nicole here.)

It’s safe to say finale night didn’t go quite as Jackson Michie had imagined on “Big Brother 21.” He won over his showmance Holly Allen by a 6-3 vote and got the confetti on his shoulders like he had manifested pictured, but before all that, Julie Chen Moonves confronted him with allegations of racism and bullying. And let’s not forget Tommy Bracco‘s jury question about his (mis)treatment of women. It all made for a very awkward winning moment.
But game-wise, it’s hard to argue that Jackson didn’t deserve the $500,000. The watermelon-lovin’ mama’s boy was a comp beast, winning every eligible Hoh in the second half of the game, and concocted a big fat lie about Tommy to save Holly that encapsulated his ruthless ways.

It wouldn't be Big Brother without some controversy. Season 21 ended with—spoiler alert—Jackson Michie winning the competition. But he didn't come out of the competition without criticism. In the finale, Tommy Bracco read a statement about Michie's treatment of women during the game. Michie told EW he wasn't worried about the question. "No, because I know who I am and I know who I'm not, and I respect women more than anything. I'm very abrasive and I have a lot of energy and passion in everything I say and do. And I'm that way towards everyone. And is it right? No. I know that I need to work on it and tone it down in a lot of areas, but I don't see race or gender or...

The motto of “Big Brother” has always been “expect the unexpected,” but after Wednesday’s live finale the new motto should really be “expect the uncomfortable.” We’re looking at you, Jackson Michie!
Near the end of the 90-minute episode, host Julie Chen Moonves brought up several of the summer’s most controversial moments, including how some viewers saw Michie’s decision to banish David Alexander, Kemi Fakunle, Jessica Milagros and Cliff Hogg on day one as racist/ageist. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. The one shining moment from the Season 21 finale was when viewers named Nicole Anthony as America’s Favorite Houseguest.

It’s been another wild and wacky summer inside the “Big Brother” house, but the time has finally come to reveal the winner of the camp-themed Season 21. Heading into Wednesday’s 90-minute finale, only three houseguests remained in the running to claim the $500,000 prize: challenge beast Jackson Michie, his showmance partner Holly Allen and ultimate underdog Nicole Anthony. By the end of the episode, the jury had voted for one finalist to join the “Bb” winners list and America’s Favorite Houseguest was also named. So how’d it all play out?

Lots of dumb moves were made in the “Big Brother 21” house this summer, but if you ask Dr. Will, there was one bad one that trumped them all. Answering a series of questions on Twitter on Tuesday (which means he’s probably hosting the jury roundtable again), Will Kirby said Cliff Hogg III not going with Nicole Anthony‘s plan to keep Tommy Bracco was the worst move of the season.
“Cliff should’ve absolutely listened to Nicole. I think he’d be a lot better off right now and I think he’d be in a completely different position if he had given her opinions a little bit more weight,” he said. “I think one of the bad game moves was that Cliff sort of wanted to be his own person and not really be open-minded to other ideas.”
@DrWillKirby, what has been the worst game move this season?...

The “Big Brother 21” winner will be crowned Wednesday after the jurors cast their votes. And unlike most seasons, there is no suspense as to who the final two will be. Since Jackson Michie and Holly Allen won the first two parts of the final Hoh, respectively, they’ll take each other to final two, regardless of who wins Part 3 on Wednesday’s finale (though Jackson’s been dealing with a bout of paranoia recently). This is what happens when you don’t break up a showmance. So that means Nicole Anthony will be the ninth and final juror.
So how will the jury vote between Jolly? Will they be as bitter as the last three? There’s still a lot of variables, like the jury roundtable, if Cliff Hogg III will in fact try to sway everyone against Jackson, the jury questions and the final speeches. But based on everything we know so far,...

Just nine people will decide who wins “Big Brother” 21 on Wednesday, September 25 during the live 90-minute finale. We know the #BB21 winner will be one of the Final 3 — Holly Allen, Nicole Anthony and Jackson Michie. Loyal fans of the reality show can only watch from the sidelines as the Final 2 houseguests make their respective cases to the jury.
But “Big Brother” viewers do get to have their say as to who is “America’s Favorite Houseguest.” The winner of this popular vote will get bragging rights and $25,000. Last year, Tyler Crispen had to settle for runner-up status to #BB20 winner Kaycee Clark but he was named “America’s Favorite Houseguest.”
All 16 of the “Big Brother” houseguests in season 21 are eligible for this title. This includes the first five to be evicted (David Alexander, Kemi Fakunle, Ovi Kabir, Sam Smith and Isabella Wang); the jury pool and the Final 3.

“Big Brother 21” started with Jackson Michie hooking up with Kathryn Dunn, so it only feels right that it’s ending with him channeling her. He’s already been getting paranoid since Cliff Hogg III threatened jury votes against him last week, and now, he’s legit concerned that Holly Allen is gearing up to actually take Nicole Anthony to final two over him.
Holly and Nicole have been getting closer the last couple of days, and Nicole has been subtly campaigning to Holly ever since Jackson won Part 1. Nicole is smart enough to know that her best ticket to final two is Holly and not Jackson, who’s too much of a gamer to risk taking her. The best thing is that Nicole didn’t even ostensibly campaign that much on Monday, but she and Holly just hanging out and doing tie-dye was enough to have him nervous that Holly might flip.

Well, it’s going to a slow march until Wednesday’s “Big Brother 21” finale. Jackson Michie won Part 1 of the final Hoh and Holly Allen won Part 2 on Saturday, so there is absolutely no suspense here. They’re going to take each other regardless of who wins Part 3, and Nicole Anthony will go out in third. Or will she?
I mean, yes, she will. But she’s not giving up yet. After a rough Saturday following her loss — for which, honestly, she only has herself to blame because it was a days comp and she’d always been mentally superior to Holly, who rarely studied the days — Nicole casually got in some campaigning late Sunday night to Holly. She told Holly that she’d be seen as her own player if she evicts Jackson at final three, and that both she and Jackson would beat her, Nicole, in the final two.

And then there were three. Following the eviction of Cliff Hogg, the only houseguests still in the running to win “Big Brother” Season 21 are Jackson Michie, Holly Allen and Nicole Anthony. Whoever becomes the last Head of Household of the season will earn the power to bring someone with them to the final two, so it’s do or die time for our final three players. Sunday’s episode featured Part 1 of the three-part Hoh competition, in addition to showcasing some of the wackiest and wildest moments from the summer.

Cliff Hogg III had been striking deals left and right all summer on “Big Brother 21,” but his wheelin’-and-dealin’ wasn’t enough to get him into the final three. Or maybe it was his downfall?
After last week’s vote drama that nearly kept Tommy Bracco in the house, Jackson Michie was done with Cliff and Nicole Anthony, unbeknownst to Cliff, who continued to hatch a handful of agreements to secure safety: asking Holly Allen to throw the Hoh and Veto in exchange for her staying, then giving her “permission” to compete in Veto provided she takes him to final three if she wins; and shaking on a final three and two deal with Jackson. The most head-scratching part was when Cliff clarified to Jackson that their final two deal only meant Jackson would have to take him to final two because Cliff would take Nicole. It’s a moo point,...

At least one thing didn’t work out the way Jackson Michie and Holly Allen wanted to this week on “Big Brother 21.” And yet it still did. Things definitely did not work out for Nicole Anthony, though, but she’s not giving up yet.
Jackson won Part 1 of the final Hoh on Thursday, which was not what he and Holly had plotted to do. Early Thursday morning, they discussed their final Hoh strategy: Jackson would throw Part 1 to Holly after Nicole is out, and he would face off against Nicole in Part 2 and hopefully win to ensure him and Holly for Part 3.
This was a good strategy for them — based on what they knew of the game. Part 1 has historically been endurance, and we know Holly can hang all night (as she’s petulantly reminded us all week about how she was “bullied” into throwing that Hoh). Part 2 has traditionally...

After 93 days in the “Big Brother” house, Cliff Hogg was sent packing on Thursday’s live eviction episode when Jackson Michie cast the sole vote to send the 54-year old engineer to jury. Although Nicole Anthony was the reigning Head of Household and had nominated Holly Allen and Michie for eviction, Michie won the most important Power of Veto of the summer, giving him the only vote on eviction night. Despite what Cliff may have thought, there was no chance Michie was going to save Cliff over his girlfriend Holly. Thankfully, host Julie Chen Moonves was waiting outside to ask Cliff what all of America wanted to know: “What was he thinking?!”
“I think I was getting a little too dependent on Michie and Holly,” Cliff admits. “I knew [Michie] was a strong person and I thought I could ride behind him. I was really thinking at some point someone else...

Heading into Thursday night’s eviction episode of “Big Brother,” two of the final three houseguests had already been revealed: Head of Household Nicole Anthony and Veto champion Jackson Michie, whose power granted him the sole vote to evict. As for the other two players, Holly Allen was Michie’s showmance partner who he promised to bring to the final three, and Cliff Hogg also felt safe because of the deal he made with Michie earlier in the week. So whose dreams ended up being shattered on live television: Holly or Cliff?

Well, he did it. Cliff Hogg III finally dropped his “nuclear weapon” in his last-stand pitch to Jackson Michie on “Big Brother 21” on Wednesday. And well, Jackson was not pleased. It ultimately didn’t change Jackson’s mind, but it did have him wondering a few things.
After spending all day talking about it, Cliff finally got around to campaigning to Jackson circa 6:20 p.m. Pt. They rehashed their usual crap about the deals and whatnot. The only thing noteworthy here was when Cliff asked Jackson if Holly Allen‘s his No. 1 and he said yes, and Cliff couldn’t understand why Jackson talked about final three with Cliff and Nicole Anthony so much. Bro, if you can’t figure that out — let alone that his showmance will be his priority — I can’t help you.
Finally, around 7:00 p.m. Pt, Cliff played his final card: threatening jury votes.

Even though “Big Brother’s” Jackson Michie made a deal this week to bring Cliff Hogg to the final three if he ended up winning the Veto competition, Michie had no intention of keeping that promise. In his mind, Cliff and Nicole Anthony struck first when they contemplated sending home Michie’s showmance partner Holly Allen last week over Tommy Bracco, which now gives him the right to lie to Cliff and Nicole.
After winning the final Veto comp of “BB21,” Michie broke down in tears as he apologized to Cliff and his family. “I’m sorry, Cliff,” he said in the Diary Room at the end of Wednesday’s episode. “I love you as a man, but I’m gonna have to send you home this week. And to the Hogg family, I’m very sorry that I am gonna have to do this.”

Even though Nicole Anthony won the Final 4 Head of Household competition on “Big Brother,” everyone knows that the true power this week lies with the Veto holder. So who ended up with the Veto necklace around their neck and did this person remove Michie or Holly from the chopping block?
