The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project (2010) directed by Srinivas Sunderrajan will release on July 13, 2012 in Mumbai and Delhi under the ‘PVR Director’s Rare’ label.

The film belonging to Meta fiction genre features Kartik Krishnan, Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, Swara Bhaskar and D Santosh.

It was screened in Mumbai International Film Festival 2010, South-Asian International Film Festival (New York) 2010 and Asian Hot Shots International Film Festival (Berlin) 2010.

Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl in Yellow Boots will be the closing film of the 3rd International Film Festival Ahmedabad (Iffa).

Written by Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin, the film stars Kalki Koechlin as Ruth alongwith Naseeruddin Shah, Prashant Prakash, Gulshan Devaiya, Shivkumar Subramaniam, Divya Jagdale, Kumud Mishra and Kartik Krishnan. It is a thriller tracing Ruth’s search for her father.

The film was recently presented at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. Last year, it was screened at Venice and Toronto where it was picked up by UK-based Swipe films for worldwide distribution.

The International Film Festival Ahmedabad will be held from August 25-28, 2011. Late submissions are open for the festival till August 5, 2011 with a late submission fee of Rs. 1000. Visit www.ifilmfest.in to submit.

Watching Srinivas Sunderrajan’s The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project (2010) is like traversing a labyrinth; it is a meta film-about a film-within a film.

What it really signifies is an independent filmmaker’s challenging journey of making a film, his obsession with his art and the influence of uncanny extraneous factors on the film that he set out to make.

Following a screening at the Transilvania International Film Festival in June, the film was recently presented at the Naya Cinema Festival in Mumbai. Sunderrajan, all of 26, answers a few questions about the making of The Untitled Kartik Krishnan project.

What was the original idea of the film when you started? What did the original script comprise?

The original idea behind making the film was to collaborate with people I knew (in whatever capabilities they could) and make a product that would help us evolve creatively. I called up Kk...

The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project, a film directed by Srinivas Sunderrajan is one among the 12 films that will contend for the Transilvania Trophy at the tenth edition of Transilvania International Film Festival (Tiff).

Presented by Romanian Film Promotion, 10th Tiff will take place from June 3-12, 2011 in Cluj- Napoca and June 15-19, 2011 in Sibiu, Romania. The Untitled Kartik Krishnan Project will compete with films from Spain, Iceland, Sweden, USA, Germany, Denmark, Argentina, Belgium, Uruguay, Israel and Russia.

Anurag Kashyap's new film called That Girl in Yellow Boots will have its North American premiere at the 35th Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff). Tiff will be held from 9 - 19 September, 2010. The movie stars Kalki Koechlin, Naseeruddin Shah, Gulshan Devaiya, Shivkumar Subramaniam, Divya Jagdale, Kumud Mishra and Kartik Krishnan amongst others. Anurag Kashyap's directorial venture "That Girl in Yellow Boots" will be screened at Toronto and Venice film festivals. The film will be screened out of competition at Venice International Film Festival which will be held from September 1-11.

Anurag delighted at the selection, wrote on facebook- "After Udaan at Cannes, Yellow Boots scores a double .. its both at Venice and Toronto.. three biggies in a year.. is it a first?"

Anurag produced Vikramaditya Motwane's "Udaan" that was screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
