AMC’s anthology series “The Terror” is returning to AMC with “The Terror: Devil in Silver,” starring and executive produced by Dan Stevens. Per Deadline, twelve actors have joined the cast, including Birth/Rebirth and The Dark and the Wicked star Marin Ireland and Cch Pounder (Godzilla: King of the Monsters).

The six-episode new season is based on Victor Lavalle’s novel, The Devil in Silver.

Based on a novel by Dan Simmons (that you can buy Here), the first season of the AMC series The Terror was about a doomed journey to the Arctic in the 1840s. Ordering a second season, AMC turned the show into an anthology, and season 2 told the story of a specter haunting prisoners in a Japanese internment camp during World War II. Now, after a five year break, the show is making a comeback with a new season called The Terror: Devil in Silver – and The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that the cast includes Judith Light (Shining Vale), Cch Pounder (The Shield), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Hampton Fluker (Shades of Blue), b (You), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C), Stephen Root (Barry), Hayward Leach (Tom Swift), Michael Aronov (The Americans), Marin Ireland (Justified: City Primeval), and Phillip Ettinger (First Reformed).

The third season of AMC’s anthology The Terror has filled out is principal cast with some big names.

Season three, subtitled Devil in Silver, will star Dan Stevens as a man who’s wrongly committed to a psychiatric hospital and finds himself fighting a supernatural force. The series has added a dozen actors to its cast, filling out the regular cast as production gets underway.

The new additions are Emmy winner Judith Light, Cch Pounder (Rustin, The Shield), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Hampton Fluker (Shades of Blue), b (You), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C), Stephen Root (Barry), Hayward Leach (Tom Swift), Michael Aronov (The Americans), Marin Ireland (Justified: City Primeval) and Phillip Ettinger (First Reformed). Details on their roles are being kept quiet for now.

The Terror premiered in 2018; a second season aired in 2019, but the anthology lay dormant until AMC picked up a third season in February.

“The Terror” Season 3 has rounded out its main cast, Variety has learned.

A dozen actors have now joined previously announced lead Dan Stevens in the new season, which is officially titled “The Terror: Devil in Silver.” It is based on the novel “The Devil in Silver” written by Victor Lavalle.

The new additions are: Judith Light, Cch Pounder, Chinaza Uche, Hampton Fluker, b, Aasif Mandvi, John Benjamin Hickey, Stephen Root, Hayward Leach, Michael Aronov, Marin Ireland, and Philip Ettinger.

Chicago Med is the third procedural show in the One Chicago franchise developed by Wolf Entertainment. Set at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, the show focuses on the emergency department and how it interacts with patients, other doctors in the hospital, and the community. Chicago Med often sees patients who need psychiatric help, as well as children and infants, and is the go-to hospital for both Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire.

Chicago Med, like Chicago P.D., began with a backdoor pilot on Chicago Fire -- Season 3, Episode 19, "I Am the Apocalypse" -- and has eight complete seasons on NBC. Chicago Med is one of Dick Wolf's shows that seems to have a lot of turnovers, but there are plenty of important characters remaining on the show and a number of characters who, while gone, will have an impact on future storylines. The winners for the 64th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced Sunday night with Jez Butterworth’s The Ferryman winning for Outstanding Play and The Prom taking home the trophy for Outstanding Musical.

Other big winners for the night included The Waverly Gallery and Fidder on the Roof winning for Outstanding Revival of a Play and Outstanding Revival of a Musical respectively. Dance Nation received a special Ensemble Award while Montana Levi Blanco was honored with the Sam Norkin Award.

Jennifer Lopez’s run as Det. Harlee Santos is coming to an end.

“Shades of Blue” will conclude after its third season, NBC said Wednesday. Its 10-episode final season will premiere on NBC on June 17.

“I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character – a woman, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother,” Lopez said. The pop star will continue her relationship with NBC with the second season of “World of Dance,” and she’s busy with other projects as well as her Las Vegas residency.

She said that playing Harlee “strengthened” her and “helped me grow into a more self-assured woman.”

Shades of Blue, NBC’s gritty drama starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta about corruption in the NYPD and the ramifications that ensue, has been renewed for a third season.

The announcement was made by Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment.

“We’re so hugely appreciative of everything Jennifer and Ray do, and know it is due to their dedication, as well as the hard work of our incredible cast and producers, that Shades of Blue has so clearly and compellingly earned a third-season renewal, Salke said.

“This show continues to mine powerful stories that always leave us hungry for more.”

Thus far in its second season, Shades of Blue is dominating the Sunday 10/9c hour among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas, generating a +50% margin of victory in the of victory in the timeslot in adult 18-49 rating.

Over on Fox, Jennifer Lopez is judging on the final season of American Idol. Will this be the first and final season of her new show, Shades of Blue. How will it do in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.

Major Crimes Spin-Off

Hampton Fluker will guest star in "Major Crimes" in a backdoor pilot for a new spin-off series. Fluker's appearance will be during the seventh episode of the show's current third season. His role will be that of a third-generation Lapd officer and wannabe Swat member.
