Former pianist and composer, Enrica fell in love with screen
composition in 2005, rapidly achieving outstanding recognitions such as
the First Prize at the Premio Petrassi International Composition
Competition (2009, Latina, Italy; head of jury: Ennio Morricone), the
J. Goldsmith Award for Best Music in Advertising (with 'Natural Cycle',
Cordoba, Spain, 2012) and her MMus in Composition for Screen at the
Royal College of Music of London (2010), awarded with distinction and
supported by Leverhulme Trust, Henry Wood Scholarship, Fabrica Dei
Talenti Scholarship and J. Horoviz award in composition for screen.
She moved in UK in 2008; she has composed soundtracks in Italy and UK for several award-winning independent films, documentaries, animations and commercials. Recent commissions include a new orchestral work to be premiered in 2012 for the IV edition of Premio Petrassi and her work as score programmer and Academy Award Nominated composer Javier Navarrete's assistant for 'Wrath Of The Titans'.
In 2012 she has been one of the three composers selected for the Score Competition at Berlinale Talent Campus, scoring J.P.Zaramella Luminaris (recorded at Babelsberg Studios by Babelsberg Orchestra, Potsdam, Germany).
In the same year she has been selected among the 12 participants of the prestigious ASCAP TV and film scoring workshop with Richard Bellis, recording with the Hollywood Studio Orchestra at Fox studios, Los Angeles.
Her experience was enhanced by having been Academy Award Winning composer Luis Bacalov's assistant from 2005 to 2007, working as orchestrator, copyist and editor of some of his works (Psalmi, Musica nel Pallone, Missa Tango). Other previous experiences include the commission of three musicals from L. Refice Conservatoire (Il Tempio della Critica, Paradisi Pucciniani and Un'avventura chiamata Europa), the latter of which received the High Patronage of the Italian Department of University and Research. Since October 2010 she is Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, teaching Music for Media. Since September 2011 she is Professor in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music.
