Michael Whitton started out as a writer/director for stage and transitioned to film. He studied theater at the University of Nevada-Reno and acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. His first feature Exit Strategy (2012) hit theaters and released every major retailer. Prior, Whitton wrote and directed Trumped (2009), a Super 16 short that won Best Drama at Brown University's Ivy Film Festival, and wrote a thriller shortlisted for the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting.
