Paramount Pictures’ action horror World War Z will be heading to a brand-new streaming home. The 2013 movie is based on Max Brooks’ best-selling 2006 apocalyptic novel of the same name.

Beginning on March 1, World War Z will officially be available to stream for free on Tubi. The movie is led by Academy Award winner Brad Pitt, who portrays retired United Nations investigator Gerry Lane. In the film, Gerry and his family get caught in the middle of chaos, after discovering that a virus has been rapidly turning people into flesh-eating monsters. Due to his former role in the U.N., he gets recalled back to duty in order to search for the cure, before the infection wipes out the entire human race.

Horror fans consider 28 Days Later as a milestone film that reinvigorated the zombie genre. However, it was World War Z's breakout box-office success that confirmed the niche has gone mainstream.

Netflix is removing World War Z from its streaming library this October. Horror fans can still watch the zombie suspense thriller until Oct. 31 at least; subscribers can revisit the film along with Army of the Dead, the Zombieland and Resident Evil films, and Day Shift until Halloween. Netflix added World War Z to its offerings last May 22, 11 years after its theatrical release. The film is adapted from Max Brooks' novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, which recounts survivor accounts of the zombie apocalypse and its sociological and environmental consequences.

The Conjuring 4 has found its director after a long wait, confirming it as the last mainline film in the franchise. Michael Chaves will be directing the upcoming horror sequel, and sources have confirmed that it will be the final installment in The Conjuring Universe. World War Z star Mireille Enos is still hoping a sequel gets made, even 10 years later. The 2013 film, based on Max Brooks' novel of the same name, tracked former United Nations investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) and his efforts to stop a surging zombie apocalypse. Enos portrayed Gerry’s wife Karin who, along with her children, fought for survival as the infected began to grow in number. In addition to Enos and Pitt, the film’s ensemble cast included Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, David Morse, Peter Capaldi and Sterling Jerins.

Despite relative praise and a strong box office performance at the time of its release, plans to develop a World War Z sequel were scrapped back in 2019. In a recent interview with The Wrap, Enos revealed why she has not given up on the movie, noting how close it was to getting made and that its script was "great.

HBO is parting ways with Divorce, just hours before the Sarah Jessica Parker dramedy airs its third season premiere(Monday, 10/9c), TVLine’s sister site Deadline reports.

“Between scheduling and complicated lives and actors, it was a confluence of things that came together that helped us decide that [a six-episode final season] was something that we wanted to do, and we felt confidence that [showrunner Liz Tuccillo] could achieve what we were all hoping for for this final look at Frances and Robert,” Parker said in a statement.

An awkward family meeting ensues in the first trailer for Divorce Season 3.

HBO on Saturday announced that the Sarah Jessica Parker comedy will return on Monday, July 1 — a full 16 (!) months after its Season 2 finale aired.

The six-episode season follows Frances (Parker) and ex-husband Robert (Thomas Haden Church) as they “encounter surprises that spin their post-divorce lives in unexpected directions,” according to the official logline.

As TVLine first reported, Las Vegas vet James Lesure will appear this season as Frances’ new love interest. Returning cast members include Molly Shannon, Becki Newton, Talia Balsam, Sterling Jerins and Charlie Kilgore, as well as recurring guest star Tracy Letts.

As James Wan’s Dceu debut Aquaman makes its way to cinemas this Friday, the Conjuring helmsman still has one foot in the cinematic universe he helped create, with the filmmaker serving as producer on the upcoming Annabelle 3.

Though the first two installments in the Conjuring spinoff trilogy journeyed progressively further back in the timeline, observing the demonic doll’s story before she came into the hands of Lorraine and Ed Warren, the recently wrapped third film sees Annabelle stir up trouble in the couple’s artifacts room, with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprising their roles as the two paranormal investigators.

In this respect, it certainly sounds like the movie has more connections to the Conjuring films than the previous two Annabelle flicks did, and when Bloody Disgusting asked Wan if this was the case, the producer seemed more or less in agreement.

What’s more, things seem to be moving forward pretty much on schedule, with The Conjuring Universe Twitter account recently sharing a photo of an “A3” production slate with the words “That’S A Wrap” scrolled across the front. The tweet clarifies in the accompany text that “Filming is officially done on #Annabelle3. See you in theaters next summer.”

The last time we saw Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s highly fictionalized, and highly adorable, versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren, they were slow dancing to Elvis in The Conjuring 2. It was a romantic sendoff to James Wan’s surprisingly sentimental take on R-rated paranormal investigative horror. Well, while Wan might be gone, and there has still not been much movement on The Conjuring 3, Annabelle 3 is offering a backdoor route into the Warrens’ macabre museum, if for only a cameo.

It is unclear how large their roles will actually be in Annabelle 3, although Deadline, who broke the news, reports it will be in a supporting capacity. This is intriguing, because despite Warner Bros. and New Line successfully marketing this as a shared “Conjuring Universe,...

Much like its fellow Conjuring Universe production The Nun, the Annabelle movies don’t always fare well with critics but they manage a lot better at the box office – so much so, in fact, that Warner are even releasing the untitled Annabelle 3 over a year before the franchise-founding Conjuring series has been given its third instalment.

Speaking of which, this trilogy-making flick has also nabbed the leads from The Conjuring, albeit in supporting roles. Yes, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning once more as Ed and Lorraine Warren respectively, though the focus of the film – other than the demonic doll, of course – will be their ten-year-old daughter Judy, played in previous features by Sterling Jerins.

It’s been almost six months since the eight-episode second season of Divorce ended its run on HBO but the premium cable network is yet to make a renewal decision on the comedy series starring Sarah Jessica Parer.

“We have a writers room doing, scripts are being written. If they are in good shape, we will move forward but Sarah Jessica and everybody wanted to feel good about where we are going,” HBO president of programming Casey Bloys told Deadline at TCA. He expects a decision to be made by end of summer.

"Only in the wilderness is man made pure again." Momentum has released a trailer for a dark thriller film titled Boarding School, the latest from filmmaker Boaz Yakin. The synopsis for this seems similar to The Miseducation of Cameron Post, but the actual film seems to border on being more horror or psychological thriller than a drama. Luke Prael stars as Jacob, a 12-year-old boy who, after being caught wearing women's dresses by his father, is sent away to a private boarding school for teenage misfits. Once there, he discovers the headmaster is much more dangerous than helpful in any way. Last night, after months of swirling rumors, Brad Pitt was finally confirmed to reunite with his Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino for his newly-titled project Once Upon a Time in Hollywood for Sony Pictures. Shortly after that news broke, it was also revealed that Brad Pitt's involvement in this project lead to Paramount Pictures delaying principal photography on the already long-delayed World War Z 2, to accommodate their star. After four years of development, Paramount's sequel World War Z 2 is finally moving forward with director David Fincher. The filmmaker had been rumored for the project for nearly a year, after Brad Pitt first mentioned it in an August 2016 interview. Still, Paramount hasn't set a release date at this time, and it isn't clear when production starts. But the filmmaker revealed in a new interview for his Netflix series Mindhunter that he's still working on the story. Here's what he had to say below.

"We're trying. A lot of stones have been laid. We're just deconstructing it right now against the mythology that exists to see where we can go."

Dark, unflinching, and with a black sense of humor, Sarah Jessica Parker’s return to HBO dug into the nitty gritty details of an act nearly half of America’s married population will go through during their lives. Some viewers weren’t ready to deal with it, but those who were experienced a meticulous 10-episode investigation into the depths of long-term pain and newfound freedom.

There’s a thin line between uncomfortable, dark drama and prickly black humor that HBO’s newest half-hour series Divorce appears, momentarily, to be straddling with precision. But like the bickering couple at its center, the show loses itself in a melancholic cloud of unfunny narcissism with haste. It’s a show with enough clout and prestige to carry the pilot, but its premise is so suffocatingly bleak, that the subsequent five episodes I sat through were sluggish at best, with only occasional upticks in interest centering around well-recognized insight into marriage, friendship, and casting Molly Shannon.

Otherwise, it’s hard to engage with. Creator Sharon Horgan has done the legwork in making the embittered couple at the center of Divorce multilayered and appreciably resentful to one another in believable ways, but on a level of pure entertainment, the show just thuds along.
