Urvashi Dholakia, born in Delhi, India, hails from a culturally diverse background, with a Punjabi mother named Kaushal Dholakia and a Gujarati father. Her familial ties include a sibling named Anurup Dholakia.

An accomplished Indian television and film actress, Urvashi gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Komolika Basu in Ekta Kapoor's iconic TV serial "Kausautii Zindagii Kay" from 2001 to 2008. Another noteworthy role in her career was as Queen Iravati in "Chandrakanta" from 2017 to 2018. Her exceptional talent and versatility were further showcased when she participated in and emerged victorious on the Colors TV reality show "Bigg Boss Season 6" during the 2012-13 season.

Urvashi's journey in the entertainment industry commenced with the television series "Shrikant" in 1987, where she portrayed the younger Rajlakshmi. Her remarkable career includes notable roles in the superhero serial "Shaktimaan" as Mansi Sharma on DD National in 2001, as well as in the series "Ghar Ek Mandir" where she played Anjali, Rajesh's boss, and lover from 2000 to 2001. Notably, from 2001 to 2002, she portrayed Sonia, a friend of Tanushree, in the serial "Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Saheli."

Urvashi achieved immense popularity through her portrayal of Komolika Basu in the Star Plus serial "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" from 2001 to 2008, becoming a household name. Simultaneously, she showcased her acting prowess in "Kahiin To Hoga" as Archana from 2003 to 2007, a show inspired by Jane Austen's novel "Pride and Prejudice."

In 2012, Urvashi Dholakia ventured into the realm of reality television by participating in and winning "Bigg Boss Season 6." Her journey continued with appearances in various shows, including "Chandrakanta - Ek Mayavi," "Ishq Mein Marjawan," and "Naagin 6."

Beyond her professional achievements, Urvashi embarked on the challenging journey of motherhood at the age of 17, raising twin sons named Kshitij and Sagar as a single mother. Her life story serves as an inspiration, reflecting resilience and success in both her personal and professional spheres.
