Very rarely does the anime world clash with the real one, but in one instance, fans saw Naruto come alive in front of their own eyes. No, it wasn’t a life-savior whose philosophy matches the character, but a WWE wrestler whose voice is scarily similar to Naruto.
The WWE world is full of anime fans like Ronda Rousey, John Cena, Mercedes Mone, Rhea Ripley, and more. They have openly expressed their interest in Japanese animations and their incredible plots. But the spotlight has suddenly shifted to another wrestler, and for a completely coincidental reason.

It’s well-known that Brie Larson’s portrayal of Captain Marvel has faced significant backlash online, including a petition calling for her removal from the role that has garnered substantial support. While we may not fully grasp the reasons behind this backlash, it’s clear that some fans have been seeking alternatives.
Although Larson, an Oscar-winning actress, delivered a strong performance as one of Marvel’s leading superheroes, there remains a desire among some fans for a different take on the character. While some have suggested that Captain Marvel should be portrayed by a male actor, others believe the issue lies with the actress rather than the character’s gender.
In light of this, it’s interesting to note that the MCU had an alternative in mind all along. One actress has publicly stated that she would have accepted the role had Marvel offered it to her, making this an intriguing topic for discussion.

WWE champion, UFC Hall of Famer…graphic novelist? Ronda Rousey has completed writing her first graphic novel, Expect the Unexpected, marking her first foray into the comic world.
In Expect the Unexpected, a hitwoman who goes by “Mom” wears a fake baby bump as part of her gimmick. But when she actually becomes pregnant after sleeping with a target, she finds herself challenged with dealing with both her pregnancy and her job, all with bounties on her head.
The adventures of “Mom” partly stem from experiences that Ronda Rousey – who became a mother in 2021 – has undergone…presumably without the whole hired assassin thing. While Rousey wrote the graphic novel, Mike Deodato, Jr. – a contributor to DC, Marvel and Dark Horse – handled the artwork.

The sheer number of Stephen King adaptations is so overwhelming they have long become a genre of their own. Hollywood loves taking the celebrated author’s stories to big and small screens, resulting in over 100 adaptations total — but quite a few of them are tackling the same stories, remaking and rebooting each other to no avail.
The dystopian Stephen King classic is getting a remake with a Top Gun: Maverick star soon, and the actor claims it’ll be better than the Schwarzenegger-led original.
New Running Man Will Respect the King
In 1987, Arnold Schwarzenegger played the lead part in Paul Michael Glaser’s The Running Man. The movie didn’t do too poorly, but not too well, either. As an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name, it barely resembled the book.
Glen Powell became famous for his supporting role, and his acting career has only been going uphill since then.

Over the years, many actors and actresses like Jennifer Lawrence, Ronda Rousey, and many more are some big names that have spoken out about the gap in their pay in accordance with their male co-stars. Former UFC champion and WWE star Ronda Rousey is going from the mats to the writers’ room for an adaptation of her memoirs on Netflix. According to Deadline, Rousey is grappling with screenwriting to create a biopic based on her books, My Fight/Your Fight and Our Fight, which she co-wrote with her sister, Maria Burns Ortiz. Chernin Entertainment could produce, but details about their pact with Netflix remain in limbo.
Initially, Paramount was going to enter the Octagon with Rousey after snagging the rights to her first book, but after the studio played musical chairs with high-ranking positions, the rights lapsed, and Netflix pinned them down. Rousey’s books delve deeper into her personal and professional journey, detailing her struggle with suicidal ideation after her first loss to Holly Holm and raising awareness about the concussions she’d suffered before her Mma career. The text also investigates her complicated relationship with coach Edmond Tarverdyan.

From beginning his career as a rapper to becoming one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, Mark Wahlberg’s journey to superstardom has been inspirational. While the actor has done a gamut of roles, his love for the action genre is well-documented over the years in films like Shooter, the Transformers series, Patriots Day, and many more.

Wahlberg has been a hardcore sports fan, especially when it comes to boxing and the UFC in which he has also invested in professionally. In 2010, the Oscar nominee went through rigorous training to play the role of a boxer in the sports biopic, The Fighter. Despite the celebrity continuing to maintain a ripped physique at age 52, he felt nailing this character now was a bit out of his reach.

And yes, even though it is scripted beforehand, the fighters do, indeed, get hurt during the process nonetheless. Like the renowned professional wrestler and former WWE Champion, Ettore “Big E” Ewen.

Former WWE chief Vince McMahon has come under fire again after the release of former WWE superstar and Mma fighter Ronda Rousey’s memoir Our Fight. The star has reportedly revealed many scandalous details about the promotion’s behind-the-scenes practices, especially McMahon’s way of running the company.
Rousey has called out WWE and McMahon on multiple occasions, with her memoir also revealing many harsh truths about the promotion. Rousey mentioned how the women’s division of the WWE was treated under the former CEO and how much they had to fight to get recognition. She also mentioned how McMahon reacted when she dropped the ‘Women’ in the ‘Women’s title’ while giving a speech.

Ronda Rousey has been a dominant figure in both UFC and WWE, amassing numerous accolades throughout her career. Her tenure in the UFC propelled her to become one of the highest-paid athletes on the roster, while also securing her a place in history as the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
While her UFC run is legendary, her WWE run is anything but as it was marred by a lot of booking issues as well as the fact that Rousey herself didn’t quite seem to care about professional wrestling as a whole.

The 1989 summer movie season might've officially kicked off on Memorial Day weekend with the release of Steven Spielberg's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," but having been a movie-mad 15-year-old kid at the time, I can assure you that May's first adrenalized action spectacular opened a week earlier when Patrick Swayze introduced us to a man named Dalton in the instant s***-kicker classic "Road House." Critics initially wrote it off as a mindless meathead programmer from mayhem merchant Joel Silver, but the aptly-monikered director Rowdy Herrington and the screenwriting duo of David Lee Henry and Hilary Henkin understood their ludicrous assignment and aced it with knowing aplomb. Their unabashed commitment to inherently risible material turned "Road House" into the "Citizen Kane" of bar bouncer movies.
Of course, "Road House" was, for a long time, the only bar bouncer movie ever made. Surprisingly, given the film's enduring popularity, few...

WWE 2K24, the latest installment in the wrestling game franchise from 2K Sports, has been out for a few days now and has received mostly positive reviews so far from both fans and critics. But it hasn’t all been good, as many Deluxe Edition players reported that they faced several bugs and technical issues, such as sudden crashes that almost left the game unplayable.
However, before all these problems, the Vince McMahon controversy had already marred the player’s excitement about the game, and WWE has tried to distance him from its history. It was reported that he has been removed from the game and will not be seen, but despite that, the game hasn’t managed to fully escape his shadow.

In an impromptu tag team matchup, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor & Damian Priest battled reluctant partners Kevin Owens & Jey Uso. Ko looked ready to hit the Stunner on Priest. Before he could, however, Señor Money in the Bank had the presence of mind to push Owens forward and move out of the way. When he did, Uso accidently hit his partner with a superkick and paved the way for Bálor to finish Ko with the Coup de Grace. As the dust cleared, a frustrated Owens walked out ahead of “Main Event” Jey shaking his head.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: The Miz def.

As of Tuesday, WWE and Endeavor’s UFC have officially been merged into one company now known as Tko Group Holdings.
The change brings the premier names in sports entertainment and mixed martial arts under one roof for the first time. The question remains, however, what does this mean for fans of either or both promotions?
I fall into the male 18-34 demographic, so naturally I am a fan of both the UFC and WWE. My love of pro wrestling started when my parents let us watch “Monday Night Raw” for the first time in early 1999, the same night Mick “Mankind” Foley won the world championship from The Rock thanks to an assist (and stiff chair shot) from “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Eight years later, I was flipping channels and came across the replay of a UFC fight, specifically Mirko Cro Cop vs. Gabriel Gonzaga. I was about to change channels,...

"The Expendables" franchise has — smartly — allowed its titular roster of tough, never-say-die mercenaries to include women, as demonstrated by 2014's "The Expendables 3" adding Ronda Rousey to the crew and the upcoming "Expend4bles" (type that five times fast) bringing in Megan Fox and Levy Tran.
However, while making the first "Expendables" back in 2010, that wasn't quite the case. That film only features two female characters: Lacy (Charisma Carpenter), the cheating girlfriend of Jason Statham's Lee Christmas, and Sandra (Giselle Itié), the daughter of a South American dictator who wants to use the Expendables to help overthrow her father and his ex-CIA puppet master, Munroe (Eric Roberts).
Although Sandra is an integral part of the film, she's no trained mercenary, and ends up being captured by the bad guys and tortured for information. It must've been difficult for the Brazilian actress to deal with the atmosphere of testosterone-fueled competition surrounding her,...

Ariel Winter to Stars on Mars: It’s time to blast off.
The Modern Family actress was the second celebrity in two weeks to bow out of the Fox reality show, which has cast celebs like Natasha Leggero, Marshawn Lynch, Adam Rippon, Ronda Rousey and Tallulah Willis to colonize, compete and conquer “Mars” until there is one victorious space invader, who will claim the title of “the brightest star in the galaxy.”
“I came here, I didn’t think I was going to make it past mission one,” the actress said on Monday’s Episode 10. “I’ve overcome a lot of things. I never thought I would rapell down a cliff. Absolutely not. But I loved being on this team. I even enjoyed missions, even hard ones, in a stupid ass suit. But as you know, I love the word fair. I was not mission critical today and I feel like I deserve to go.
