The sacredness of a relationship between parents and children can't be overstated.
This sacredness reinforces the boundaries that exist or ought to exist within the confines of the relationship.
But sometimes, the limits are crossed. And when this happens, these relationships become corrupt, perverted, manipulative, and downright wrong such that they end up being weird.
Many mother-son relationships on TV are okay. But there comes that one duo that makes you think, "that's weird."
We have compiled ten of the most bizarre mother-son relations that had us like, "what the actual f***k?"
10. Howard and Mrs. Wolowitz in The Big Bang Theory.
Let's start easy because some of what is to come is jaw-dropping. When someone thinks of Howard, what comes into their mind is something like -- an astronaut. Or a little scared astronaut.
Howard, however, had a mommy problem. While most moms try to build up their kids,...

If it weren’t for a chance encounter, the story of a 21-year-old margarine heir who pledged to give away his $25 million inheritance to anyone in need may have remained packed up in boxes forever.
Fifty years after Michael Brody Jr.’s announcement triggered an avalanche of letters from around the world, Melissa Robyn Glassman discovered the letters — unopened — in a Los Angeles storage unit belonging to the filmmaker Edward R. Pressman.
This trove of letters – approximately 30,000 in total – became the basis of the documentary “Dear Mr. Brody,” which is currently available on VOD and playing in select theaters.
Writer-director Keith Maitland said he was “immediately” drawn to the story, which unfolded over ten days in January 1970, when he began reading the letters.
“You’d open up these little novellas where people just unloaded their life and told you all about their family members and their wants and desires,” he told TheWrap.

While Bucky Barnes-Sarah Wilson ‘shippers are clamoring for Marvel Studios to #ReleaseTheBuckySarahCut, it’ll have to settle for a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the creation of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” that includes more delightful Helmut Zemo cuts and a look at the way the writers approached Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) transformation into Captain America.
The hour-long program, part of the “Marvel Studios Assembled” series that last gave us a look at how “WandaVision” was made, was just released on Disney Plus on Friday. Here are a couple of key takeaways.
This line in ‘Endgame’ was foundational to the Sam Wilson’s character in ‘Falcon’
According to executive producer Nate Moore, the line in “Endgame” that most resonated with “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” head writer Malcolm Spellman occurred during the scene in which Steve Rogers passes on the Captain America shield to Sam Wilson. “How does it feel?...

This Falcon and the Winter Soldier review contains spoilers.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 5
When we last left our patriotic heroes, Captain America’s replacement, John Walker, had just publicly chopped a man to death with his shield. Between this and the way Mysterio edited footage to make Spider-Man look like a mass murderer, it’s a really bad time for Avengers replacements. There’s probably footage of Valkyrie biting someone’s face off to fulfill the trifecta.
Recently, Marvel released a trailer to hype up the last two episodes, and the long-awaited fight between our titular protagonists and the unhinged Walker came off as some kind of climactic final battle. Instead, as a curve ball, that’s exactly where the penultimate episode begins. Before there can be any international fallout over Captain America publicly slaughtering a defeated enemy in front of dozens of recording cell phones, Falcon...

Adepero Oduye has been tapped as a lead opposite Vera Farmiga in Five Days at Memorial, Apple TV+’s limited series from John Ridley, Carlton Cuse and ABC Signature. The project reunites 12 Years a Slave co-star Oduye with the Oscar-winning movie’s writer Ridley.
Written by Ridley and Cuse based on the acclaimed nonfiction book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink, Five Days at Memorial chronicles the first five days in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina made landfall. When the floodwaters rose, the power failed and the heat climbed, exhausted caregivers were forced to make life-and-death decisions that haunted them for years to come.
Oduye will star as Karen Wynn, the nurse manager of the hospital’s intensive care unit and the head of its ethics committee. Farmiga plays Dr. Anna Pou, the doctor on duty at Memorial when the storm hit.

When it was first announced that Marvel Studios was developing television series for Disney+, it was immediately understood that such projects would afford Kevin Feige and co. the opportunities to explore more character moments than the two-hour Marvel films typically allow. And so far, there’s been no greater example of that than Adepero Oduye’s Sarah Wilson, a widowed single mother, small-business owner and sister to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Oduye has revealed a whole new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as her character sheds light on an Avenger’s domestic life including financial problems ...

Exclusive: The Telluride Film Festival was expected to start next week on September 3 and play, as usual, all through the Labor Day weekend. Sadly, the coronavirus pandemic curtailed those plans and the festival was forced to cancel this year’s edition. However, Telluride did put out the schedule of films that had been selected, and on September 11 will host a “drive-in” screening at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena of the new Fox Searchlight film, Nomadland starring Frances McDormand directed by Chloe Zhao. And they actively hope that some of the other films on their list find an audience, and in some cases even distribution in order to find that audience.
I caught one of those films, the fascinating new documentary Dear Mr. Brody, which was to have had its world premiere at Telluride and was planning to use that showcase to entice buyers. Cinetic is selling it and is just...

Donnelly Rhodes, a Canadian-born character actor best remembered by daytime drama fans for his portrayal of Phillip Chancellor II on The Young and the Restless, died on Monday at a hospice facility near his home in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. He was 81.
The cause was cancer, his agent, Lisa King, said.
Rhodes's television career began with westerns like Maverick and Bonanza in the early 1960s and continued until 2016. Over the decades he appeared in practically every televised genre, from sitcoms to soap operas.
Although he did not originate the role of Phillip Chancellor II on The Young and the Restless, his portrayal from 1974 to the character's death in 1975 would resonate with viewers and in the storyline, for many years to come. Phillip's wife, Katherine (Jeanne Cooper), was a messy drunk so he turned his attention to the young and beautiful Jill Foster (Brenda Dickson). Phillip and Jill began an affair...

A new trailer has been released for the Gerard Butler's eco-disaster film Geostorm. After being bottled up for so long due to scientific advancements, Mother Nature breaks loose and unleashes her unforgiving fury on the world.
The movie has an impressive cast that includes Abbie Cornish (Limitless), Alexandra Maria Lara (Rush), Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas), Daniel Wu (Warcraft), Ed Harris (Apollo 13, Westworld) and Andy Garcia (Oceans Eleven). It's crazy that they managed to get some of these actors on board for a film... like this. It just looks so ridiculous!
The trailer makes the movie feel like a light-hearted comedy while the world is being destroyed a geostorm of death. Especially, when a couple of characters decide to kidnap the President of the United States in a self-driving cab. Is that what they're going for?

Independence Day scribe, Dean Devlin, makes his directorial debut in the forthcoming disaster movie, Geostorm. And to give us a further taste of what to expect another trailer has just dropped.
Related: Geostorm first trailer.
The new trailer gives us another impressive look at the visual wonderment of CGI in creating a world under threat by natural forces that can’t and shouldn’t be controlled by manmade machines and Gerard Butler’s race against time, yet again, to save the world from impending danger.
It’s funny how life sometimes imitates art, anyone would think Donald Trump may have gotten hold of the script for Geostorm in which satellites are built to control global climate change and took it quite literally, tweaked it a little for his own mind to digest when he boldly stated climate change wasn’t caused by humans.

If you love disaster movies, then this first trailer for Geostorm should scratch a particular itch, with massive tornadoes, tsunamis, and loads of destruction. come inside to check it out!
I've long been a sucker for disaster/weather movies. The idea of contending with an unstoppable force (nature) and the havoc it can cause is an interesting one and can make for some exciting set pieces. As such, I can't help but feel excited based off this Geostorm trailer:
Let's be honest here...the story, as with Most disaster films, probably isn't going to be all that great, but that's not why I'm going to end up seeing this film. I'm going for the ridiculous amount of awesome destruction on display. What do you guys think?
