- Emily Ann Barker is an Australian songwriter, composer and musician. She was born on 2nd December 1980 in Bridgetown, Australia and moved to the UK in 2002, where she formed her first band, the-low-country and then went on to record four albums with her band The Red Clay Halo. She has recorded four albums with her band The Red Clay Halo, and has appeared on albums by Frank Turner, Steven Adams (The Broken Family Band), Revere and Anglo-Swedish alt-folk band Vena Portae. Her song Nostalgia was used as the theme to the BBC dramatisation of the Henning Mankell Wallander novels starring Kenneth Branagh - Wallander (2008)- and went on to win a Royal Television Society award for best original TV theme, with the series itself collecting a BAFTA for best original TV soundtrack for Martin Phipps.
