Ming Jue Hu (he/him) is an Asian-American cinematographer whose work spans commercials, features, and music videos. Ming studied film production during undergrad at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and then pursued Cinematography at American Film Institute. His feature film, M Cream, won Best Feature Film Award at Rhode Island International Film Festival and took home the Best Cinematography Award at Madrid International Film Festival. His narrative work has been screened at festivals internationally and he was selected as "Rising Stars of Cinematography" by American Cinematographer Magazine in 2018.
In 2019, he shot the eight-episode TV series Detective Chinatown in Bangkok, Thailand. The show was well-received on the Asian streaming platform, IQIYI. Recently he just finished production of the feature film LaRoy, starring John Magaro, Steve Zahn, and Dylan Baker.
Ming is based in LA and is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild IATSE Local 600.
