When your scary secret admirer hacks into your home and computer, it’s time to fight back. On August 25, FilmRise, the New York-based film and television studio and streaming network, will bring The Admirer, a new tech thriller from award-winning filmmaker Martin Makariev (In The Heart of the Machine), to all major streaming and VOD platforms.

The thriller stars Roxanne McKee, Richard Fleeshman and Tina Casciani.

The Admirer follows a woman desperately searching for answers when her life is hacked by a mysterious person from her past harboring a dangerous obsession.

"Looks like you got a secret admirer!" FilmRise has revealed an official trailer for a tech thriller called The Admirer, from filmmaker Martin Makariev. It is getting dumped onto VOD later this month if anyone is curious about watching. A woman searches for answers when her life is hacked by a mysterious person from her past, who is harboring a dangerous obsession. "It shines a light on the all-too-real possibilities we deal with today and how invisible the perpetrators can be." But none of this is real... The film stars Roxanne McKee, Richard Fleeshman, Tina Casciani, Christina Bennington, Sarah Blake, Jordan Ford Silver, and Jack Parr. This just seems to be another fear-mongering film playing up all the scary things that could happen, but never will happen. Mostly because they do not actually understand tech and none of these "hacks" are real, but they will still pretend it can "happen to anyone.

Exclusive: Two years after the launch of Starlings Television, Starlings Entertainment’s TV division led by Chris Philip saw its first two series, Pandora on the CW and Departure on Peacock in the US, both go to a second season. They will be followed by female-driven drama series Veil, which is gearing up for production next.

Beyond that, the company has greenlighted murder mystery series Sherlock’s Daughter, executive produced by The Closer creator James Duff, and a slate of TV movies, starting with thriller The Admirer starring Roxanne McKee, Tina Casciani and Richard Fleeshman.

Additionally, Starlings TV has two high-profile series projects in advanced stages of development, Alexander the Great, a collaboration with Ben Silverman/Propagate, whose pilot is being written by Vikings and The Tudors creator Michael Hirst; and Romanovs spy thriller Red Winter, written by Stephen Kronish.

Michael Roark has been cast in Wild For The Night, an indie thriller directed by Benny Boom. He will play Karl, a former La street kid who is best friends with Wyatt’s (James Maslow) and works with him to search for his sister’s killer. Roark’s credits include Magic Mike, Dolphin Tale and TV’s Grey’s Anatomy, Stalker, Sleepy Hollow and Royal Pains. He is repped by the Kohner Agency and Principal Entertainment.

Tina Casciani has joined the cast of director Ben Younger’s Vinnie Pazienza biopic Bleed For This. She will play Heather, a love interest for boxing champ Pazienza (Miles Teller). The cast also includes Katey Sagal, Aaron Eckhart and Ciaran Hands. She recurs on the CW’s Jane The Virgin. and had guested on series including Reckless, Murder In The First, CSI and Revenge. Casciani is repped by Nu Talent, Luber Roklin and Myman Greenspan.

A man buying a ring is killed when the jewellery store is raided. One of the robbers take the ring from his hand, which is unusual. They pass Horatio (David Caruso) on the bikes when he's in pursuit, but they didn't just disappear. Tread marks on the road reveal they drove into a truck. They did a u-turn and doubled back, Ryan (Jonathan Togo) suggests they rode onto something. Calleigh (Emily Procter) can't find anything wrong with the SUV. Jesse (Eddie Cibrian) says it was used to block the road and it's been stripped of the Vin number. Jesse asks if Calleigh's okay after she sees Jake (Johnny Whitworth) in the crowd. Jesse notices the Vin plate on the ground. Calleigh wasn't looking for it. No she was too busy wondering what Jake was doing there. Well he could only have been undercover, yet he appeared to be a suspect the way he vanished.

The series, borne out of the creators of Femme Fatales Magazine draws its inspiration from film noir and graphic novels, placing the stories in contemporary setting.  Tanit Phoenix (Death Race 2)'s "Lilith" introduces each episode, which feature different casts and storylines, some of which are intertwined.
