Bruno Hernandez. Argentina, 1979.
He directed five TV shows including Netflix's first Argentinian original series EDHA and the first Rede Globo's Spanish speaking original series "Supermax", a co-Production between Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. His first feature film, "8 shots" was sold to Sony International, released in theaters in 2016, and was nominated for Best Opera Prima by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Argentina. The film won the Amsterdam Film festival and was invited to the official selection in: New York Colombian Film Festival, Durango Film Festival, Hermosillo Film Festival and many others. He has directed nine feature films in USA with Sunshine Films Production Company, such as "How to frame a family", "The hand that robs the cradle", "Secrets on Greek row" and "The replacement daughter" among others. He also has two projects in development: "The Trafficker", feature film (selected for the "18 Course for the Development of Ibero-American Film Projects" Carolina Foundation, Ibermedia 2020) and "Odessa" (Documentary Feature Film).
Bruno is a versatile director, working in different international markets, and diverse production designs. His background as a first assistant director (developed internationally for 14 years) has given him strong organizational skills, ability to preserve the integrity of projects by working with producers, creators and collaborating with screenwriters side by side.
On an academic level Bruno holds an MA (Master of Arts) from the Netherlands Film Academy and an MA in Screenwriting from Escac Barcelona.
