NBC's comedic drama "Good Girls" may have been all about women criminals breaking bad, but according to TVLine, the series' cancellation in 2021 didn't have much to do with the "girls" that give the show its title.

Soon after "Good Girls" was officially canceled in 2021, TVLine reported a surprising and slightly scandalous scoop about the show's fate. The series debuted in 2018 and follows the exploits of three Midwestern moms who fall into a life of crime after an impulsive supermarket heist leads to unlikely repercussions. "Parks and Recreation" actress Retta headlined the show along with "Mad Men" fan favorite Christina Hendricks and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "Arrested Development" actress Mae Whitman. The show also made a star out of Manny Montana, who played sexy crime boss Rio and quickly became a series breakout. Marvel fans, get ready! New look images from the upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart have been revealed. The show, which follows Riri Williams after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), is set to premiere on June 24, 2025.

Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, is a brilliant MIT student who builds her own high-tech suit of armor. After helping Wakanda, she returns home to Chicago. There, she faces a new challenge—going up against Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The series will explore the clash between technology and magic.

Alongside Thorne, the series stars: Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins / The Hood, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.

We've seen a few snippets of footage from Ironheart in various Disney+ sneak peeks, but are still waiting on a full trailer. With the show set to premiere this June, we're sure we'll get a teaser at some point over the next few weeks, but for now, Marvel Television has released four new promo stills.

The images spotlight star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams - who we first met in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - taking flight in a bulky suit of Iron-Man-inspired armor.

Riri is expected to don a few different costumes over the course of the series, but based on what we've seen so far, she'll be spending the majority of the show in this early prototype suit.

2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever did the usual Marvel thing and laid some ground for future projects that had been announced. Other than the sequel establishing Shuri as the new Black Panther, the Ryan Coogler film also introduced a college student who would be taking up the mantle of Tony Stark with her own brand of Iron armor. The setup could lend itself to both the Ironheart show and the planned Armor Wars project, but after some years, the studio is finally set to premiere the series this summer on June 24 on Disney+.

Despite the fact that no one will be able to top Robert Downey Jr. as the MCU’s biggest “Iron” character, Riri Williams is becoming more and more popular as the premiere of the Ironheart miniseries is approaching fast. It is set for a June 24, 2025 premiere on Disney+.

The show has attracted a lot of attention, at times because of the production issues, but now because of the hype that is slowly increasing. In light of that, we are happy to report that Marvel has released some new images highlighting Dominique Thorne in the titular role.

Following some revealing concept art for Avengers: Doomsday and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, some more artwork from Mushk Rizvi's official site appears to confirm that Marvel Studios was planning to move forward with a project focusing on the daughter of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Morgan (Lexi Rabe), following in her father's footsteps.

The artwork is marked "Iron Man 3000," and shows a teenage/young adult Morgan Stark in a couple of different Iron Man-inspired suits. It looks like an older take on Pepper was also going to feature.

We don't have many details, but it seems Morgan was going to grow up to be a racecar driver (while no doubt fighting crime on the side). There's speculation that the project was being developed as an animated series, but that has not been confirmed.

Concept art allegedly from Ironheart first did the rounds on social media in late 2022. The supposed leak contained three different designs for Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen's take on Mephisto, all of which were very punk rock-inspired.

While Cohen's villain is expected to be the one pulling The Hood's strings in Ironheart, there have been rumblings about him also factoring into Thunderbolts* (perhaps as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's ally), Spider-Man 4, and even Avengers: Doomsday.

The only thing is, Cohen may not be playing Mephisto after all.

Making him the source of The Hood's powers seemed an easy way to finally bring a character into the MCU that fans once hoped would be a huge part of WandaVision. From there, the door would be open to Ghost Rider's introduction and so forth, and the Mephisto ball is one we've all run away with over the past few years.

In my opinion, it is nothing compared to what Disney+ has in store for us for 2025, as some of the most highly-anticipated Disney+ original shows will be premiering this year. Anthony Ramos is ready to show the world his take on Parker Robbins/The Hood. Luckily for him, fans don't have to wait much longer as Marvel Studios has set a June 2025 premiere date for Ironheart.

In a recent interview with ComingSoon, Ramos opened up about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Hood. He revealed that he "didn't really dive into the comics" to learn more about his character, choosing instead to follow the scripts. "But it was also like, yo, how do I make him singular? How do I make him different? Parker Robinson in the comics is from New York. Our guy is from Chicago, our show is set there. So I just wanted to make him super dynamic," he explained. Ironheart is believed to have wrapped filming in late 2022. Despite that, we won't see Riri Williams return to the MCU until next summer in a series which promises to combine the worlds of science and magic.

When it comes to why Ironheart has been delayed, we're hoping it's to perfect the show's VFX and avoid the sort of backlash faced by She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's hit-and-miss portrayal of Jennifer Walters' green-skinned alter-ego.

Regardless, a new still has found its way online today that highlights Riri and a practical suit. That design gives off major villain vibes, a likely appropriate decision considering the fact the teenager is expected to break bad in this series after growing frustrated with her lot in life.

Disney has released a new trailer highlighting a plethora of new shows coming to the Disney+ streaming service next year, and the video includes some new footage from Marvel Studios' Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again.

When the character Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the idea was that we’d be seeing the character again the following year in her own six-episode Disney+ show Ironheart… but 2023 came and went without Ironheart, and the show still doesn’t have an official premiere date. It is expected to come along sometime in 2025, and a trailer was recently shown at the D23 event. It will be a while before we get to see the show’s characters in action, but during a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, cast member Anthony Ramos took a moment to talk about the character he plays in the series: Parker Robbins, a.k.a. The Hood.

Ramos said, “I saw a trailer at D23. We walked onstage, and they played this new trailer of Ironheart, and it was my first time seeing it.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Ramos claimed he knew Ironheart was special when he saw the official trailer debut at Disney's D23 expo. I saw a trailer at D23. "We walked onstage, and they played this new trailer of Ironheart, and it was my first time seeing it. And Im not gonna lie, just as a fan, I was like, 'Yo, this is crazy. If this show is half as good as this trailer, we in the mix,' he said. He also praised Dominique Thorne's "incredible" work in the titular lead role.

It's always fun when Marvel Studios takes us to unfamiliar locations and Disney+'s Ironheart will shift the action from New York to Chicago.

Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams is heading back to her hometown of Chicago in Ironheart, where she will reconnect with Anthony Ramos' Parker Robbins. Ramos recently opened up about playing Parker Robbins, a.k.a. The Hood, in Ironheart, who has been reimagined for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We haven't seen Dominque Thorne's Riri Williams since 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the same year Disney+'s Ironheart TV series wrapped production.

There could be any number of reasons for the lengthy delay, including potential story issues and Disney's new quality-over-quantity approach to Marvel Studios content on streaming. Either way, we expect Ironheart to be a major player in the MCU moving forward.

Speaking with Rotten Tomatoes, alongside her Ironheart co-stars, Thorne was asked if she wanted to see Riri Williams/Ironheart go up against Downey's Doctor Doom. "I mean, who wouldn't, right? I think that's again one of the great things about the MCU is that right when you think, 'Oh, we've seen it all', there is indeed more. The Black Panther universe will expand further, with several TV spinoffs like Ironheart and the animated series Eyes of Wakanda. With Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams, introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, leading Ironheart, the actress admitted she had reservations about taking the role.

Ironheart star Dominique Thorne plugs what fans can expect from the long-awaited Disney+ series, including the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever fallout.

The trailer, which was shown exclusively at Disney's D23 convention, shows several scenes of Riri flying around in her suit.

At D23 yesterday, fans welcomed Black Panther director Ryan Coogler to the convention's stage alongside Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah, and Alden Ehrenreich.

Executive producer Ryan Coogler was in the house at the Honda Center in Anaheim alongside the cast, including Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos to debut a first look at the upcoming Disney+ series on Friday night.

After catching audiences up on the events of Black Panther 2, where Thorne’s Riri Williams played in instrumental role in preserving Wakanda, we learn she’s now trying to get out of a creative rut. She’s skipping classes, focusing all her energy — and her university’s resources — on her next project.

Speaking with The Official Marvel Podcast, Ironheart star Dominique Thorne teased the events the Disney+ series will chronicle. According to Thorne, the show explores the aftermath of Wakanda Forever, with her eponymous character, Riri Williams, doing "self-reflection" following the Black Panther sequel's most dramatic moments. "I think its safe to say the things that happened in Wakanda required a lot of self-reflection," she said. "If you start an interspecies war, we might all encourage each other to take a breath, I think we can say that shes taking that to heart and considering what it means to show up in this world and space in the way that she does."

Ironheart wrapped production way back in November 2022 and we've seen nothing from the Disney+ series since a handful of set photos did the rounds earlier that year.

It's unclear whether the delay is a result of creative issues, a lengthy post-production period due to demanding VFX work, a result of plans to scale back on the McU's yearly output or all of the above.

However, D23 takes place on Friday and we're now expecting a first look at Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again, and more from Agatha All Along. The Official Marvel Podcast recently caught up with the stars of all three shows, so we'd say some big new reveals in Anaheim are likely.

Originally planned to be released on Disney+ in early 2023, Ironheart has undergone multiple delays, and it is reportedly expected to be released in the latter half of 2025. For ComicBook.com's Phase Zero podcast, an update on the series was shared by Brad Winderbaum - the head of streaming, TV and animation at Marvel Studios. Winderbaum explained that the show's delays are mostly due to Disney pulling back on the amount of Marvel Studios releases per year, forcing projects in development to have their release dates more spread out.
