Sony Pictures' Madame Web managed to assemble an impressive cast of already established stars and young up-and-coming actresses to play the lead roles... which may have been somewhat baffling to anyone who watched the movie.

THR reports that allegedly, one source says Sweeney agreed to take on a supporting role in Madame Web, a film in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, to help get Anyone but You approved.

Unlike any year in recent history, the bangers just kept coming one after the other.

Actor Billy Zane will debut his portrayal of legendary actor Marlon Brando later this month at the Torino Film Festival in Italy. Zane plays Brando in the film “Waltzing With Brando,” which will close out the 42nd edition of the prestigious festival. The film focuses on an unusual period in Brando’s life when he juggled roles in “The Godfather” and “Last Tango in Paris.” It also explores his plans to build a sustainable retreat on the remote island of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia.

Directed by Bill Fishman, “Waltzing With Brando” tells the true story of how Brando recruited architect Bernard Judge to help design and build the eco-friendly retreat in the early 1970s. According to festival artistic director Giulio Base, Zane brings an intense focus and understanding to his role as Brando. Base told an entertainment publication that viewers “won’t believe it” and that Zane appears “possessed” by Brando in the performance.

Billy Zane is set to make the trek to Italy’s Torino Film Festival which has secured the world premiere of hotly anticipated indie film “Waltzing With Brando” directed by Bill Fishman in which Zane plays Marlon Brando during the period when he was preparing to star in “The Godfather” and “Last Tango in Paris.”

Here’s a synopsis of the movie: “In the film, Sweeney will play Millie, a struggling woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple. She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.”

Sydney and Amanda joined the project earlier this month.

Brandon Sklenar is set to star opposite Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in director Paul Feig’s psychological thriller The Housemaid for Lionsgate.

Lionsgate is backing the project, which stars Sweeney plays Millie, a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple. But Millie soon learns family secrets far more dangerous than her own past.

The film is based on a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine that adapted Freida McFadden’s novel, which sold over 3.6 million copies.

Feig’s most recent project as director is Amazon’s action-comedy Jackpot!, which debuted in August, while his sequel feature A Simple Favor 2, starring Lively and Anna Kendrick, is set for release next spring from Amazon and Lionsgate.

Brandon Sklenar has locked down his next major project, and this time it’s opposite Sydney Sweeney.

Sklenar — who starred earlier this year as Atlas in “It Ends With Us” with Blake Lively — will star alongside Sweeney in an adaptation of “The Housemaid,” TheWrap has learned. Paul Feig is set to direct the film with Amanda Seyfried also starring.

The film is based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden. Sweeney plays Millie, a struggling young woman who’s relieved to get a fresh start after being hired as a housemaid for wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar). It doesn’t take long for Millie to learn the family has darker and more dangerous secrets than her own.

Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman will produce with Carly Kleinbart Elter overseeing for the company. Also producing are Feigco’s Feig and Laura Fischer. Additionally, Sweeney and Seyfried also executive produce alongside Alex Young and McFadden.

Sydney Sweeney is getting her turn as a Hitchcock blonde…or at least the chance to portray one.

Sweeney will play Old Hollywood actress Kim Novak in a feature titled “Scandalous,” and the project will be the directorial debut for “Sing Sing” star Colman Domingo. Sweeney shared the news update as originally reported by Deadline to her Instagram story on Tuesday, October 22.

Also cast alongside Sweeney is “Industry” actor David Jonsson, who will portray Rat Pack legend Sammy Davis Jr.

Reps for Sweeney, Domingo, and studio Miramax did not respond to a request for comment.

Sydney Sweeney is set to play legendary film star Kim Novak in Colman Domingo’s Sammy Davis Jr. biopic “Scandalous” at Miramax, according to an insider with knowledge of the project.

The project marks the “Rustin” Oscar nominee’s directorial debut and co-stars David Jonsson as the iconic entertainer. Although plot details are being kept under wraps, the film centers on the scandalous and brief love affair between Novak and the Rat Packer, which took place in 1957. Matthew Fantaci wrote the script.

Principal photography on “Scandalous” will take place in Los Angeles after Sweeney and Domingo wrap the third season of HBO series “Euphoria.” Sweeney will produce the project along with Tani Cohen and Bobby Rock. Jon Levin is the executive producer.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, “Before he became Miramax CEO, Jon Glickman originated the project at Panoramic and remained high on it.”
