Summera Howell is a Los Angeles based award-winning actress and filmmaker, known for Them (2021), American Horror Story (2015 -2017), Sweet Caroline (2018), Teen Wolf (2017), and Blue Line Station (2016). She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles' (UCLA) School of Theater, Film, and Television, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Acting. She is a 2021 Blacklist / Women in Film Semi-finalist, and in 2016, she was a SmashCut CineLab Film Fellow for her film Avowed. In 2017 she created and spearheaded a #MeToo PSA made by an all female crew of sexual harassment survivors, which garnered over 750,000 views via multiple platforms including NowThis, The Huffington Post, USA Today, and Ms. Magazine. As a filmmaker, her work immerses the viewer in a highly visual take on the female experience.
