It’s a well-known fact that Cm Punk, the best in the world, has never seen a Rocky movie, not even once, not even by accident! So, it is, in fact, hilarious when Tony D and the family decide to stage a whole Rocky III rip-off right in front of him at WWE Nxt.
Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky vs Mr. T’s Clubber Lang in Rocky III
Sylvester Stallone’ Rocky movies are truly here to stay. Their influence stretches far beyond just the silver screen, it’s wild to think about how they’ve inspired athletes, artists, and dreamers across various sectors. Fans can’t wait to find out what WWE Nxt has in store for them next!

Plot: A veteran assassin is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself. After ordering the kill, an army of former colleagues pounce and a new piece of information comes to light. Insanity ensues.
Review: There’s a certain type of film that has been relegated to streaming services in recent years. Sadly, mid-tier action films sprinkled with comedy stopped being considered worthwhile theatrical investments. Thus, those movies our grandparents would claim as “that great movie you need to see” were left to be discovered on Netflix and Max. But something strange is happening with Lionsgate this year and they felt a theatrical release was justified for The Killer’s Game. At first, I was intrigued because Bautista is known for picking interesting roles and the quality must be great to warrant such a release. Instead, I was met with a generic action film that switches gears so...

Welcome to this review of Bash in Berlin, another WWE pay-per-view emanating from overseas – something that the company seem to be pushing for more and more in this “Paul Levesque” era of the WWE. And like recent PPV efforts, this one features fewer matches and a shorter main card (though with the pre-show this was still a big commitment). Let’s see what went down in Germany…
Match #1: Undisputed WWE Championship – Cody Rhodes def. Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Cody Rhodes is still the Undisputed WWE Champion after Kevin Owens hesitated to attack The American Nightmare’s injured left knee. What started as a friendly competition slowly devolved into a heated back and forth between champion and challenger, all while the raucous German crowd cheered their every move. Owens targeted Rhodes’ midsection, and his consistent attacks led to significant problems for the champion, including his...

Welcome to this review of the 2024 edition of the WWE’s Summerslam, which comes from Cleveland, Ohio, the home of The Miz – who “hosted” proceedings – and the Cleveland Browns, whose stadium was the home of this pay-per-view.
Match #1: Women’s World Championship – Liv Morgan def. Rhea Ripley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After months of animosity, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan wanted no part of challenger Rhea Ripley early in the match. Once Ripley caught Morgan, it was all one-way traffic, with Morgan on the backfoot. Ripley looked to wrap up the match early when she hit a Riptide onto the top turnbuckle, but her second attempt failed. Just as Mami looked dominant, Morgan threw Ripley into the ring post, with the challenger’s shoulder appearing to pop out and Ripley screaming “it’s out.” In an intense moment, Ripley threw herself into the announce table,...

Drew McIntyre has signed with Paradigm for representation in all areas, Variety has learned exclusively. He continues to be represented by attorney Brad Small at Fox Rothschild
McIntyre (whose real name is Andrew Galloway) is the latest WWE star to sign with Paradigm, joining the likes of Tiffany Stratton, Damian Priest, and C.M. Punk. Hopefully, McIntyre and Punk don’t end up in the agency offices at the same time, given that they are currently involved in a heated feud that has seen Punk cost McIntyre the WWE world heavyweight championship on multiple occasions.
McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion and a one-time holder of the world heavyweight championship, the latter albeit for around five minutes thanks to Punk and Priest. He won the WWE championship for the first time when he defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 in 2020. He has also held the company’s intercontinental championship, the Nxt championship,...

For those who don’t know, the debut edition of the event took place in 2022. It enjoyed good response from fans, both through digital viewership and actual attendance at the venue. Back then, it was headlined by Drew McIntyre, when he challenged for the Undisputed Championship. Now, he’s back in the picture as he’s challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Welcome to this review of the Royal Rumble 2023, right here on Nerdly. I’m Phil Wheat and we have not only Two Rumble matches to look forward to but also a Bloodline main event that promises to bring things to a head with that long-running storyline! Let’s get into it.
Match #1: Men’s Royal Rumble – Winner: Cody Rhodes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before the match started, the surprises had already begun as Pat McAfee made his return to commentary, delightfully shocking Michael Cole. Fight Night kicked off the Men’s Rumble as Intercontinental Champion Gunther and his fierce rival Sheamus entered at No. 1 and 2, respectively. Not long after Sheamus scored the first elimination by Brogue Kicking The Miz (No. 3) into oblivion, he formed a match-long alliance with his good friend Drew McIntyre after The Scottish Warrior entered at No. 9. Match #1: Rey Mysterio def. Karrion Kross The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wanting to shut down Rey Mysterio for good, Karrion Kross seeked to eradicate The Master of the 619 from the WWE Universe. Kross used his size advantage from the off-set, trying to wrench Mysterio’s mask from his face. Mysterio would utilize the other side of the size discrepancy, using his quickness to hit a huge splash for a two count. In the end Mysterio’s agility proved key, putting away Kross with a crucifix pin.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Lacey Evans vs. Jazmin Allure The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

During the bedlam, Sikoa overcame Sheamus with the Samoan Spike – a tribute to the late great Samoan Superstar Umaga. After the matchup, Ridge Holland & Butch were swiftly taken out of the equation, paving the way for The Enforcer to cause further damage on his defeated opponent with a steel chair. The first round of the SmackDown World Cup on Fox Tournament continued as two of the biggest high-flyers in Mustafa Ali and Ricochet battled on the ground and in the air. Ali, already nursing injuries stemming from the beatdown he suffered at the hands of Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw, clearly was not at 100 percent but still took the fight to Ricochet. Top-rope offense, including a backstabber and a superplex, put Ricochet in complete control, and it continued with a Michinoku driver on the outside of the ring. A valiant Ali nearly caught Ricochet with a 450 splash, but Ricochet rolled out of the way and finished off Ali with a shooting star press.

Match #1: Brock Lesnar def. Bobby Lashley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A rivalry stretching nearly 20 years, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley went one-on-one for only the second time in their storied careers. The last time the two behemoths faced off in a singles bout, The All Mighty claimed Lesnar’s WWE Championship. Lashley took it to Lesnar early, sending The Beast Incarnate into the ring steps before the bell, leaving Lesnar with a tweaked knee. Lashley doubled down on his hot start, Spearing Lesnar into the barricade and following with another Spear in the ring for a close two-count.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. This is the first appearance of the returning Bray Wyatt on the blue brand, which should make for an interesting show!
Match #1: Sami Zayn def. Kofi Kingston The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Much like previous weeks Jey Uso was in Sami Zayn’s corner but after a phone call from Roman Reigns, “Main Event” Jey Uso seemed more willing to offer aid to his honorary Bloodline member. Jey Uso took umbrage with Xavier Woods’ presence by Superkicking him, allowing Zayn to hit the Blue Thunder Bomb in the fracas for a close two count. Kingston had Zayn locked up in a pinning attempt but Jey proved key, pushing Kingston so that Zayn was pinning Kingston instead. This let Zayn pick up the much-needed victory.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Braun Strowman’s def.

Welcome to Nerdly and this review of the 2022 Extreme Rules pay per view… Let’s not beat around the bush, this PPV was marked by the stunning, flawless return of Bray Wyatt and what looks to be his new faction, which is made up of human versions of his Firefly Funhouse characters! As for the rest of the show, read on for my review…
Match #1: Donnybrook Match – The Brawling Brutes def. Imperium The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
One day removed from Sheamus and Gunther fighting in their second Intercontinental Championship Match, the two led their respective fashions into a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match. Donnybrook theater this was not, as the two factions used every weapon they could find to deliver heart-racing carnage. Imperium controlled the early minutes, dispatching The Brawling Brutes with haste and dropping Sheamus onto the bar at ringside. Ridge Holland turned the tide...

Match #1: Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa def. Ricochet & Madcap Moss The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After Solo Sikoa’s backstage attack last week, The One and Only & Madcap Moss came up short in a tag team match against The Street Champion & Sami Zayn. The dangerous Sikoa took advantage of a distraction by The Honorary Uce to fire a chair at an advancing Ricochet and hurl him into the timekeeper area. He then tagged himself into the matchup and overcame Moss with with an explosive Spinning Solo. When Moss engaged Zayn after the bell, the newest member of The Bloodline snapped and unleashed a vicious post-match assault on Madcap.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Drew McIntyre vs. Austin Theory (Dq) The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Liv Morgan def. Lacey Evans The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Focused on proving her Extreme side en route to her Extreme Rules Match against Ronda Rousey on Oct. 8, SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan looked to make Lacey Evans eat her words in a tough showdown. Evans attempted to use a Kendo stick, but Liv avoided the attack and hit the Oblivion for the victory. After the bell, Morgan unleashed a vicious post-match Kendo stick attack on her fallen opponent before driving Evans through a table with an earth-shattering flying Senton off the turnbuckle to send an Extreme message to The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: The New Day def. Maximum Male Models The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Imperium def. The Brawling Brutes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a slugfest, Intercontinental Champion Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci reigned supreme over Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland. After order broke down inside and outside the ring, Kaiser & Vinci used tag team precision to hit the Imperial Bomb on Holland for the win.

WWE superstar Scarlett Bordeaux may not have been scheduled to appear at Clash at the Castle, but she likely stole some of the spotlight during the main event match.
She and her husband, Karrion Kross, weren’t scheduled participants in WWE’s big event in Cardiff, Wales, this past weekend but still found a way to get involved.
Following the event, the 31-year-old wrestling star gave fans and followers a closer look at the stunning attire she’d worn during her appearance.
Scarlett took to her official Instagram page and shared a video that moved from toe to head, showing off a glittery bodysuit mainly featuring black with silver stripes and shapes accentuating some of her curves.
The one-piece brought plenty of sparkle and shine, as did Scarlett’s matching gloves and black heels.

Spoilers follow for the Rick and Morty season six premiere
Following on from the end of season five, the episode saw Rick Sanchez (voiced by Roiland) attempt to reset the co-ordinates for his portal gun, but he accidentally sends himself, Morty and Jerry back to their original universes.
