Gustavo is a São Paulo-based filmmaker. In 2009, he directed the short film Avaca. In 2010, he premiered his first documentary feature film, Cildo, exhibited at Tate Modern.
Between 2011 and 2013, he directed the documentary Consideration of the poem; the short films Capela and I think it was raining; and the TV shows O papel da vida and Cada canto, both of them for Canal Brasil. In 2014/2015, Gustavo directed a documentary called Jokesters, the sitcom I wanna have a million friends, and also his first fiction feature film, Coming back home.
