Saturday Night Live’s “Domingo” sketch really blew up on social media last year, prompting the show to revive the character multiple times for what has now become a wildly unnecessarily complex narrative. They even released small, plastic Domingo toys for collectors who want their Funko Pops to have more drunken hookups.
The original sketch found a group of bridesmaids, headed by Ariana Grande, awkwardly singing Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” at a wedding reception. But their modified lyrics recounted a trip that ended with the bride sharing a hot tub with a goateed stranger.
In a behind-the-scenes video, SNL writers Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara O’Sullivan revealed that the seed of the idea for the sketch came from a video of a real-life wedding reception. “There is a video of a girl at her sister’s wedding doing a speech and she does a Hamilton rap,” Fowlie recalled. “If you’re...

Aaron Goldenberg is a mean gay.
Okay, not really. But he plays one on TikTok.
Like several other creators we’ve spoken to, Goldenberg is an actor by trade, and parlayed those skills into content creation when Covid shuttered auditions back in 2020. He’d always wanted to act, from his very first Christmas play as a kid.
“I very quickly was just one of those kids who was always in some kind of a drama class, whether it was at school or elsewhere,” he says. “Started doing community theater in my teens, and then as well as acting for student films at local colleges that had film programs.

“The Other Two” is coming to a close after three seasons amid reports of a toxic workplace.
The beloved and critically acclaimed series will conclude with its current third season, making the June 29 episode the series finale. “The Other Two” was created by former “SNL” writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, who shared a press statement clarifying the decision to end after Season 3 was not due to being canceled.
However, The Hollywood Reporter credited sources saying there were “multiple staff complaints” about showrunners Kelly and Schneider over the course of the production. Per the THR report, the Hr complaints stemmed from behavior on set and in the writers’ room, including allegations that Kelly “verbally abused writers and overworked crew and claims that Schneider enabled his behavior.”
A source tells IndieWire that the report was unfounded and not connected to the series ending. Max representatives did not provide comment to THR.

The Other Two, the comedy series starring Heléne Yorke, Drew Tarver and Molly Shannon, is coming to a close with its third season on Max.
However, rather than being canceled, the decision was made by Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, co-creators of the buzzy comedy, who said that they have run out of ways to “humiliate” Tarver.
“It is bittersweet to say goodbye to the Dubek family after three seasons, but we always knew, both creatively and personally, that this was where we wanted to end their stories,” the pair said. “And because we are quite literally out of ways to humiliate Drew Tarver, so what’s the point?”
The move comes ahead of the third-season finale, which sees Shannon’s billionaire mogul mom Pat and her ex-lover/manager Streeter (Ken Marino) strategize how to broach difficult conversations with her kids, Cary (Tarver) and Brooke (Yorke). The episode airs Thursday,...

More than any other show currently on television, The Other Two has mastered the art of pop culture references. They're neither cheap nor obvious, and they're laser-targeted to the show's audience. For a show about how fame and the entertainment industry can warp reality, The Other Two's advanced-level pop literacy easily convinces its culture-drenched audience that they're speaking the same deranged language. In the show's third season, creators and writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider — along with a writing staff that this season has included Allison Silverman, Gil Nissim, Jimmy Fowlie, Moss Perricone, and Dylan Guerra — have crafted some of the show's most ambitious pop references to date, and they're nailing them.

It’s never easy for Cary on “The Other Two,” is it? The older Dubek brother (Drew Tarver) finds himself doing the yeoman’s work of television — playing a lawyer — on a long-running series called “Emily Overruled,” in Episode 4 of Season 3. But although the cast and crew of “Emily Overruled” delight in hitting their marks and going home at 5 p.m., Cary is convinced that acting should be much more and tries to inject some life into the colorless soundstage environs— a journey that required intense collaboration across multiple departments on “The Other Two.”
The show’s production design, camera, editing, and VFX teams all worked together alongside series showrunners Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider to create a rich visual metaphor for working on a long-running series: a black-and-white world in the style of “Pleasantville,” one that throws Cary off of his game until he can bring color and life...

Forget about the Disgusting Brothers: Welcome back to the Despicable Twins of Max’s “The Other Two.”
The long-awaited Season 3 of the hit satirical series deepens its disdain for Hollywood, with siblings Brooke (Heléne Yorke) and Cary (Drew Tarver) grappling with finding meaning in their respective rising entertainment industry careers. Cary finally gets a bit of fame after his long-awaited breakout role in indie drama “Night Nurse” airs, while Brooke keeps cornering her marketing gig. Of course, both Cary and Brooke are still in the shadow of their Justin Bieber-esque pop star younger brother ChaseDreams (Case Walker) and TV mogul mother (Molly Shannon).
Per the official Season 3 synopsis, after comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Walker), who is now a full adult, and their talk show host mother (Shannon), who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary (Yorke...

The Other Two, the comedy series from former SNL co-head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, has scored a third-season pickup from HBO Max.
The series, which originally launched on Comedy Central before moving the WarnerMedia streamer for its second season, debuted its sophomore season on HBO Max in August. The streamer, which didn’t release viewing data, said that the show has been its most popular series since the release of Season 2 and has seen “steady growth each week” as new episodes dropped.
The comedy, which might be the only show on television that has a storyline based on Justin Bieber getting ill as a result of eating too many eggs, stars Drew Tarver, Heléne Yorke, Case Walker, Ken Marino and Molly Shannon.

In its second season, one of the sharpest comedies on television has found a new note: Soulfulness.
At least that’s among the takeaways from the fourth episode of the new season of “The Other Two,” currently streaming on HBO Max. The series, in its first airing in 2019 on Comedy Central, endlessly roasted its central duo, the siblings of a pop star who craved some of his shine for themselves, too. Now, it finds within their inching-ever-closer proximity to fame a need that’s poignant as well as funny.
This season, Cary (Drew Tarver) and Brooke (Heléne Yorke) find small footholds in the entertainment industry: Cary as a host for a series of brain-melting online video series, Brooke as a talent manager for members of her family. Both know they’re trading on others’ success, but also feel like they’ve earned a piece of it by proximity.
And both,...

“The Other Two” duo of Drew Tarver and Heléne Yorke are back! The series, focused on the lives of brother and sister Cary and Brooke Dubek, is moving from its original home on Comedy Central over to the HBO Max streaming service. The first trailer for Season 2 dropped and, dare we say, Cary and Brooke might be acting a little bit more mature than they once were?
The comedy follows Cary and Brooke who are the “other two” older siblings of superstar Chase Dubek (Case Walker). Unfortunately, Cary and Brooke are still having a hard time breaking into the industry; the former looks to be hosting a digital E! series while the latter is participating in her mom Pat’s (Molly Shannon) new talk show.

After a very long hiatus following its first season, “The Other Two” is finally debuting its second season later this month. On Wednesday, HBO Max — the new home of the former Comedy Central series — released the trailer for the upcoming episodes, which see siblings Cary (Drew Tarver) and Brooke (Heléne Yorke) play second fiddle yet again, but this time not to their famous brother, Chase Dubek (Case Walker).
Nope, now it’s their mom Pat Dubek (played by Molly Shannon) who is hogging all the spotlight from her desperate-to-be-famous kids.
Per HBO Max’s description for Season 2 of “The Other Two”: With their pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Case Walker), officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of fourteen, Brooke and Cary (Heléne Yorke and Drew Tarver) must now contend with a new famous family member: their 53-year-old mother Pat (Molly Shannon), and her eponymous daytime talk show. Need a little content with your cruising? Grindr is getting into the scripted entertainment game with “Bridesman,” a new 10-minute episodic series starring beloved internet comedian Jimmy Fowlie. Created by John Onieal, “Bridesman” follows the exploits of the titular gay bridesman (Fowlie) as he attempts to undermine his best friend’s wedding. Fast-paced and irreverent, the series features queer talent both in front of and behind the camera, part of Grindr’s stated mission for the new exploit.
“‘Bridesman’ is tailor-made for the Grindr community — it’s smart, queer, campy, and features sharp commentary on gay dating, heteronormative standards, and Grindr itself,” said Grindr’s Alex Black. “We are so proud to be showcasing some of the finest talent in the queer community as we continue to find new and creative ways to connect our users.”
LGBTQ mediaphiles are already well acquainted with Fowlie’s particular charms, whether from his...

So Long, Boulder City: You Can Now See a Drag Version of Emma Stone's One-Woman Show from La La Land

Here’s to the ones who dream … then make their version of La La Land‘s play-within-a-movie a reality.
Actor and comedian Jimmy Fowlie is staging (and starring in) a full-length drag version that imagines what the ill-fated one-woman show performed by Emma Stone‘s character in the 2016 film might have been. And it’s already so popular, the Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles had to add dates.
“I just have to be clear — this show is Absurd!” Fowlie told Queerty. “We are doing some justification of the facts from the film, but it’s also a comment on self-masturbatory one-person shows.
