Ugly Christmas sweaters have really become a holiday cliche over the past decade, and parties devoted to the vomitous yuletide tops are nearly unavoidable. So of course this conceit has been turned into a horror movie. Today, we have the exclusive first look trailer for Ugly Sweater Party, and if you enjoy a little bit of blood and guts with your eggnog, then this will put a huge giant smile on your face.

In Ugly Sweater Party, the most hideous of all knitted pullovers has become possessed. And it's deterred to turn one December shindig into a bright red bloodbath. The ugly holiday sweater takes hold of one partygoer, causing him to go on a deranged slaughter fest. And it's a gruesome sight to behold.

Perhaps the coolest thing about the movie is that Sleepaway Camp star and cult favorite Felissa Rose is back and wearing her own godawful sweater for the holidays.

Back in December, we gave Daily Dead readers the gift of the teaser trailer for Aaron Mento's Ugly Sweater Party. Co-starring Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs), the holiday horror comedy recently wrapped post-production and is gearing up for a festive festival run, and to celebrate its upcoming release, we've been provided with an exclusive new poster and images to share with our readers!

Avocado Lake is located in Fresno County, the heart of the Central Valley in California. The lake is known for an unusual high number of unexplained drowning deaths. Stories have been told over the years surrounding these deaths and what lurks below. Many local residents believe the lake is haunted.

Dinner With The Dwyers is a horror comedy short plays like a pilot to an edgy sitcom that balances a bit of pitch-black humor with horror thrown into the mix.

Directed by Edward Payson and featuring an enthusiastic cast, among them Sleepaway Camp’s Felissa Rose, the short film gleefully toys with the conventions of both the sitcom and the horror film as it tells a quick tale about a daughter (played by Tiffani Fest) who brings home her new boyfriend (Jared Michael Degado) to meet her parents (Marv Blauvelt & Felissa Rose).

The short film is an odd delight, as it toys with sitcom and horror film conventions along the way. The laugh track, sound effects and comedy lets you know the film in no way takes itself seriously and invites you along to have a few laughs.

We see all kinds of movie trailers around here. Psychological thrillers, over-the-top slashers, campy horror-comedies, you name it. And every so often we get one that gets under our skin...that trailer that feels real. Such is the case with the teaser for Inhumane. You feel like you're looking right into the brutal crimes of Corbin Hobbs, and we've got to admit it's more than a little off-putting.

No, this trailer is not the most slickly shot piece of filmmaking ever produced, but that adds to its strength. Gritty does not begin to describe it. Dirty might be a better word.

Short film Inhumane is scheduled to be the first project produced by Black Eye Entertainment in 2012. It's written and directed by K.M. Jamison and stars Marv Blauvelt, Heather Dorff and Kelsey Zukowski with special appearances by Jared Degado and Edward Moore. Go ahead and take a look for yourself.

Dig on these Exclusive Nsfw Stills that director Anthony G. Sumner, don't show your kids or memaw this shit! Psycho Street is another cool film I'm close to and been following for a long time. The horror anthology has a really cool and insane segment called "Lewis", sounds pretty tame and simple but it'll  shock,floor and possibly offend you, it pushed the envelope as far or futher than anything I've seen in a long time and will probably make you go pray after witnessing the bloody carnage that is "Lewis". 

If you've been missing that 70's horror feel then this is what you've been looking for, devil worship, sacrifice, blood, gore and nudity all in one segment! I have a lot of friends invloved with "Lewis" and the entire anthology and I'm happy to see all of this come together!

Finally all of you cool horror fans will get to check out Anthony Sumner's Slice of Life aka 3 Slices of Life over on VOD. I've been following this movie for a long time and it's been really cool to see it get its much deserved VOD time via Gravitas Ventures and today we get to announce the DVD release date on June 7th via Midnight Releasing. We have some cool exclusive stills for you to check out at the bottom and also the box art for the DVD as you can see up top. Horror+Holiday = Horrorday, that's a word aint it? Well anyway the cool peeps over at Darkrider Studios and Musclewolf productions have sent us some exclusive  Behind the Scenes images from the new horror/holiday short A Christmas Scream that they actually just filmed this weekend.

A Christmas Scream is a modern day version of 'A Christmas Carol' with one twist, this time it's the woman's turn to witness past, present and future turns and events. This short also shows what you can do with last minutes notice.  The two factions had plans to shoot a short in Ohio and when the plans got cancelled they put there evil horror brains together and made a plan. I was told that pre-production took a total of 3 short days.  The Bloomington, Indiana crew polished up a story idea, got some extra parts cast, secured locations, and wrangled in about 15 extras for...

The first thing people will notice about horror director Alan Rowe Kelly (Don't Look In The Basement, I'll Bury You Tomorrow) is that he is a gender bender, but Kelly has been bending more then genders his entire career as he has broken out the idea of conventionality. At the age of 39, with 40 just right around the corner, he had an epiphany. Bored with a career as a stylist, he made the sudden and dramatic move to horror. First testing the waters as an author, he switched over to the world of indie horror film directing where he won great acclaim for "I"ll Bury You Tomorrow". As he continued to direct films, he also started making a name for himself in the indie horror world as an actor playing power players, agents, something that rhymes with witch, etc. These were powerful, empowered characters that personally reflected upon Alan Rowe Kelly himself.

 

Chris Jay; web designer, photographer, writer, director, producer, carpenter, action figure collector, lover of video games. All of these titles Chris Jay carries proudly but the key one is filmmaker.  Jay has a vision and is going after his dream with a focus. Well, this is my first post here on Geek Tyrant, so I guess I should introduce myself. Kitsie Duncan is an actress/model/scream queen who has hit the indie horror scene with a game plan and it's set in motion on high speed cruise control.  She has several projects out and more in the works including the much hyped about Mother's Blood and Lethal Obsession. "Mother's Blood" can best be described as a modern "dark, twisted, fairy-tale".

"When attractive socialite Vivian (Kitsie Duncan) is involved in a horrible accident that destroys her beauty, she seeks to restore it by making a "deal" with a mysterious gypsy (Alan Rowe Kelly) who warns her that by gaining her beauty and losing her deformity, someone close to her must lose theirs....much to her horror that "someone" happens to be her daughter (Deneen Melody). After years of locking her daughter away, much too ashamed for the world to see her, Vivian is once again visited by the mysterious gypsy who offers a grisly "solution" to restore her daughter's beauty as well....a solution that includes murder, mutiliation and...

Screamkings Productions in association with THR Productions Ltd is pleased to announce the Camp Motion Pictures release of the awarding winning feature film Sculpture.

Sculpture is a psychological horror gore-fest that tells the story of Ashley Steele (Raine Brown), a struggling artist who returns home after the death of her parents (Marv Blauvelt and Susan Adriensen) only to find her possessive rich older brother, Adam (Dustin Kerns), and the haunting memories of her repressed past await her. Her childhood friend, Emily (Misty Mundae) tries to free her from the grasp of her egotistical brother. Meanwhile she is commissioned by a well known art dealer (Alan Rowe Kelly) to create a life-size sculpture of the perfect man, and uses body builders from her brother's gym as models. Before long she finds herself spiraling down a path of unspeakable psychopathic terror and murder as she frantically tries to complete her masterpiece.

I met Arthur Cullipher in Louisville, Kentucky at the Fright Night Film Fest this summer and have made a friend for life. One of the funniest and nicest guys you'd ever want to meet and he is talented too! He and his Clockwerk Pictures team have created one of the darkest and disturbing short films I've ever witnessed with 'Come', think Lovecraft and R-rated Twilight Zone episode mixed with a little Outer Limits, all on acid and then stuck in a blender, I haven't been lucky enough to witness more from him but I'm sure that day is coming. This past weekend I was introduced to several films one of which is Come. Come is a brilliantly dark short film from the mind of Arthur Cullipher and the team at Clockwerk Pictures. The short follows along the same paths as Lovecraft and Cronenberg have taken but makes it's own unique mark and has it's own original style.

The lead role of Dr. Conduit is played by Marv Blauvelt (Sculpture, Slices of Life) who to me finds himself searching for a new kind of forbidden fetish-high and then throw in some exotica-torture porn maybe? The story itself is about "The Face Murders" in a small town and certain gross procedures/ body modifications being performed, you just have to see this! What  Dr. Conduit comes across is this weird creature in a jar he buys off of this dark character  Mr. Maker played by David E. W. Pruett which will remind...

From Darkrider Studios we have its first full-length offering called Lethal Obsesson. Lethal Obession is directed by Jason Hignite and Chris Jay.

Lethal Obsession is a dark ride about an erotic webcam business owner and her dancers being killed off one by one. Meet heartless Elizabeth Waters (Kitsie Duncan) who runs www.obsessioncams.com and one by one her erotic webcam girls are being murdered by a killer who is wearing a Kabuki-style mask all painted up with their body all covered up/robed up so you can never tell if it's a male or female killing these girls. The catch here is all of these killings are happening while each girl is online.  Creative gore style baby!

Enter Detectives Dennett (Brad Mills) and Stevens (Kevin Stich) who follow these murders but one has had a hard time  dealing with the mental issues of these kind of horrible crimes due to his scarred past.

I was introduced to Jeremiah Kipp's creepy short film masterpiece 'Contact' just a few weeks ago and I instantly became a fan and found out alot of cool info about him afterwards. Kipp has been involved in some really cool projects from the critical smash zombie opus I Sell The Dead to the upcoming Psycho Street horror anthology. This teaser trailer for Arthur Cullipher's and Clock Werk Pictures upcoming short film entitled 'Come' is as disturbed as I like them! Oh my, this I have to see! The cool short has Marv Blauvelt in it and this one is going to turn some heads!

Plot:

A surgical fetish doctor, obsessed with cutting off the vulvas of women and sewing them on their faces, meets his fate through the conspiratorial workings of a brothel proprietor, a prostitute and the Goddess of a strange religion.
