Exclusive: Byron Mann (Wu Assassins), Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us), Ashley Greene (Twilight) and Anson Mount (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) are set to topline Kill Him ‘Til He’s Dead, a sci-fi action film from writer-director Michael Winnick, which has wrapped production. Originally published in 1918, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ The Land That Time Forgot has inspired multiple adaptations, most notably Kevin Connor’s 1974 film. Now, the story returns to the screen courtesy of The Asylum, who previously tackled the tale in 2009. Can this new adaptation deliver a mix of nostalgia and modern sensibilities, while staying true to the spirit of the original novel?

Emmy-winning actor Sterling K. Brown is making the rounds promoting his new Hulu series, Paradise, which reunites him with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. The series, which ran from 2016 to 2022, starred Brown, along with Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, who both recently lost their homes in the L.A. wildfires that destroyed parts of the Pacific Palisades and Altadena.

In an interview with Extra, Brown reminisced about his time on This Is Us, and about his co-stars who are dealing with the aftermath of the wildfires. “Talked to Milo, talked to Mandy. Talked to them both. It’s difficult. They’re just very much in the midst of all of it. It’s just one day at a time,” said the Oscar-nominated Brown.

Netflix’s 2021 apocalyptic sci-fi film Don’t Look Up is the second most-watched Netflix film of all time (behind 2021's Red Notice) and now its Oscar-winning director, Adam McKay is saying that the movie has grown more and more pertinent in today’s times. Per The Hollywood Reporter, McKay said viewers really “connected” to the movie and are more than three years after its release.

Don’t Look Up “tells the story of two low-level astronomers, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet earth,” states the film’s logline. After losing her house in the Los Angeles fires, actress and musician Mandy Moore and her family are staying at the home of fellow actor Hilary Duff and her husband, musician Matthew Koma. Per Variety, Duff, who starred in the Lizzie McGuire series, How I Met Your Father, and Younger, took in the This Is Us star recently.

Moore’s brother-in-law, Griffin Goldsmith, said via an Instagram post that Duff and Koma also helped to launch a GoFundMe for Goldsmith’s family after they lost everything in the L.A. fires. As of this writing, the campaign has raised over $205,000. Goldsmith is in the band Dawes, with his brother and Moore’s husband, Taylor Goldsmith. The post can be viewed below.

Fans of the show, which ran from 2016 to 2022, will recall that Ventimiglia’s character, Jack Pearson, died after his family’s home burned on the show. Per CBS News, Ventimiglia, whose wife Jarah is pregnant, said his family’s Malibu home burned in the Los Angeles fires, which are still burning.

Ventimiglia told the news outlet that he was watching on security cameras from Tuesday night as the flames from the Palisades Fire engulfed his home, a home that already housed a crib for their new baby. “You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not, and then you see your neighbors' houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks,” Ventimiglia said.

He called the moment “eery.” Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, evacuated their home on Tuesday, January 7.

The couple was helpless as they watched their family home burn down on the security cameras. Mariano is currently nine months pregnant. They packed up and left with their belongings. Unfortunately, they’re mourning the loss of their marital home, including their new nursery. In a candid interview with CBS Evening News, Ventimiglia returned to the place where his home once stood.

During an interview with CBS News, the “This Is Us” star shared that he and his wife, Jarah Mariano, who is currently nine months pregnant, evacuated their home on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and then watched the Palisades Fire take over through security cameras.

While the couple took as many belongings as possible, they had to leave behind the items in their recently finished nursery and left everything there. On Thursday, he visited returned to the area to see where his home once stood.

Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company are in preparation for production on “I Can Only Imagine 2,” a sequel to the breakout hit “I Can Only Imagine.”

The 2018 film took in over $83 million at the domestic box office. The sequel will be directed by Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin from a screenplay written by McCorkle.

“I Can Only Imagine 2” will continue the inspirational true story of Bart Millard, once again played by John Michael Finley. Other returning cast members include Dennis Quaid, reprising his role as Arthur, and Trace Adkins, who returns as MercyMe manager Scott Brickell. In the opening minutes of DC Down, Washington DC is hit by an earthquake that, among other things, causes the roof of The White House to collapse trapping President Powell and Vice President Jameson inside.

Lance Cushing a former combat engineer and search and rescue expert is called in to help get them out. He brings his fiance Katherine who is a seismologist along. It’s a good thing he did because it looks like there’s going to be some massive aftershocks, but her so far unproven “Dispersal Theory” might be able to protect what’s left of The White House from them. Meanwhile, Speaker of the House Wilder has been sworn in as acting President, and a militia group, The Virginia Lookout, led by Beck are heading to DC.

Milo Ventimiglia has built up an impressive career in terms of starring in long-running shows. Beginning with Gilmore Girls and eventually Heroes before his role as Jack Pearson in This Is Us, Ventimiglia has frequently been a part of shows that have stood the test of time. So that’s why there was a ton of optimism surrounding his newest endeavor on ABC, The Company You Keep. Not only was Ventimigilia starring in it opposite Catherine Haena Kim, but he also was serving as executive producer. The show came out strong with the backing of marketing and an interesting premise, but not even that could get this show to last past its first season. ABC opted not to renew the show after it aired its season finale.

Justin Hartley may no longer be Kevin Pearson on the hit show This Is Us, but he's heading back to television with a brand new series called Tracker. With a premiere date set for right after the Super Bowl in 2024, the series will find life on CBS. So we just now have to wait to see who is playing in that Super Bowl to lead up to Hartley's new series. Personally, let's pray it's the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) representation.

Not letting the success of Ape vs Monster go to waste The Asylum is back with Ape vs. Mecha Ape. This time they’ve brought in Marc Gottlieb to write and direct. While it’s only his second feature, the other was Cousin Howard back in 1995, and the first one for The Asylum he’s written several scripts for them including Jungle Run, 2025 Armageddon, and Aquarium of the Dead. Can he kick the franchise into gear after its dismal first film?

Ape vs. Mecha Ape opens with a chemical weapons plant that looks like an old warehouse being attacked by what looks like the giant ape Abraham. A few explosions later we see that it’s actually a giant, well-armed, robot which makes short work of the plant’s security.

A sequel to 2021’s Ape vs. Monster, which served as a “mockbuster” take on Godzilla vs. Kong, The Asylum has just unleashed their latest creature feature: Ape vs. Mecha Ape.

Starring Tom Arnold, the kaiju-sized fight film is now available on VOD outlets.

In director Marc Gottlieb‘s Ape vs. Mecha Ape, “Recognizing the destructive power of its captive giant Ape, the military makes its own battle-ready A.I., Mecha Ape. There’s Jess Mariano, the troubled young rebel on “Gilmore Girls”; Peter Petrelli, a tortured nurse struggling to control his powers in “Heroes”; Robert Balboa, Rocky’s son who’s stuck in his father’s shadow, even when he doesn’t know who he is without it. Milo Ventimiglia got emotional during an appearance on The View as he recalled his parents and the inspiration behind his role on This Is Us.

“My dad is wonderful… my mom and dad… I get emotional,” he said as he got choked up. “My mom and dad are wonderful people. My father and Jack Pearson were of the same era, both born in the 40s, both Vietnam vets.

Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia explains why he nearly quit acting once the NBC show ended. Ventimiglia portrayed Peter Petrelli in the superpowered series, which focused on seemingly ordinary people who discover that they possess extraordinary abilities. It was the actor's second-biggest role television role at the time, following his Gilmore Girls stint as Jess Mariano. But, despite two leading portrayals in very popular dramas, Ventimiglia admits that he struggled to find work once Heroes ended.

In an interview with Variety, Ventimiglia talked about how he considered walking away from Hollywood because he couldn't get a job. The comments came in the context of promoting his upcoming show, The Company You Keep, and Ventimiglia talks about how he began to doubt whether he was making the right decision by remaining an actor. "After ‘Heroes,’ I had a hard time working, I couldn’t get a job.

It’s tough being a liar but that’s a fitting, albeit short, description of Milo Ventimiglia‘s new character. The actor takes a sharp left turn from perfect dad Jack Pearson on This Is Us to play con man Charlie Nicoletti in the new ABC series, The Company You Keep, premiering February 19. In the series, which comes from Ventimiglia’s Tk production company, viewers will meet Charlie, a career criminal working cons big and small with his family. “[Charlie’s] someone who was born into this life, never chose the life, but he happens to be really good at this life,” Ventimiglia tells us recently. But what happens when that criminal falls for a CIA agent (Catherine Haena Kim), who, unbeknownst to Charlie, has to do her own share of lying in her work? “You could say they both lie for a living,” Kim says. “They just have different ways of justifying it.
