Ahead of this month's Super Bowl, Universal Pictures debuted the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer. Helmed by Godzilla's Gareth Edwards from a script by franchise veteran David Koepp, all signs point to it being an exciting fresh start for one of Hollywood's most successful film series.

With the action set to play out on an island filled with Jurassic Park's rejects, we're expecting to see a lot of weird and wild dinosaurs who haven't graced the screen until now.

While we wait and see what those surprises are, newly released promo art offers a closer look at the Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, and T-Rex. The Velociraptor, in particular, looks a little different and may be from another genetic strain. Either way, it's still mighty fearsome and sure to cause our heroes some problems.

The first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth was released earlier this week but Universal Pictures still unleashed dinosaurs on the Super Bowl with an epic minute-long "Big Game" TV spot.

If you caught the aforementioned sneak peek, much of the footage here will be familiar to you. However, we do see more of this team interacting and new glimpses of the dinosaurs they'll be forced to contend with (including the Rancor-like creature that's making this feel more like a horror movie than the expected action-adventure).

"These are the dinosaurs that didn’t work. There’s some mutations in there," longtime franchise producer Frank Marshall said of the dinosaurs deemed too dangerous for the original Jurassic Park. "They’re all based on real dinosaur research, but they look a little different."

During the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday (February 9), Universal Pictures released a new trailer for the upcoming movie, which stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

The Bite n’ Blast Mosasaurus is fans’ first chance to bring home the prehistoric thrills of the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise.

The aquatic reptile has a button-activated “bite” feature that opens the mouth, allowing it to swallow the included Dilophosaurus figure whole. Press the button again to “blast” the prey back out.

With a little under 24 hours to go until the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer is released, Universal Pictures has just shared another teaser. This time focusing on the characters played by Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, and they appear to be in a rather precarious situation.

The former plays mercenary Zora Bennet in the movie and, when she recently spoke to Vanity Fair, Johansson described the character as, "A special operative," before adding, "She was in the armed forces for the entirety of her career. She probably worked for a private contractor for some time, and now she's working for herself."

"She’s someone who’s dedicated herself to saving other people, and I think she’s at a professional crossroads. I think she’s burnt out. Of course everything goes wrong, but that’s the fun part."

Koepp briefly touched on collaborating with Spielberg on his new movie, The Dish, while speaking with TheWrap about the 25th anniversary of his movie Stir of Echoes (which he wrote and directed). "I am so not allowed to say anything," Koepp said, joking that "I think deep down, it bothers Steven that I’ve read the script." The screenwriter also confirmed a recent production report stating that The Dish, which is the movie's working title, would begin production in February 2025, with principal photography scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I’m allowed to say this now that we’re on the other side of it, but we shot in rivers and these mangrove swamps,” Edwards told Entertainment Weekly about filming Jurassic World Rebirth. “When we were scouting them, we saw poisonous water snakes, massive ones that we had to catch. We kept it quiet from the actors as they spent a whole day wading through the same area. And there were giant spiders that were poisonous and stuff on the edge of the trees.
