I just finished watching Karan Johar’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani on the big screen. And I can’t stop smiling. It felt like the first time.

Of course, one has seen it earlier, not only when it first released in 2013 but subsequently too. But there is a kind of irresistible magnetism to this rom-com, as though the characters have grown on us over the years. We can go back to them ten years hence. They would have grown on us even further.

This time I felt I knew Bunny’s restless mind better than when I met him in Ayan Mukerji’s film the first time. Bunny is basically an escapist with an emotional insomnolence. Actor Imran Khan, who quit acting after 2015 and has now hinted at making a comeback to films, talked about the 2011 film ‘Delhi Belly’, which also stars Kunal Roy Kapoor and Vir Das. The stars of Ayan Mukerji’s 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had a reunion last night. The film’s director posted pictures of the film’s stars Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin from the reunion on his Instagram handle and he wrote “Last night.”

Two pictures feature Naina, Bunny, Adi and Aditi smiling with all their hearts. The other shot features the gang posing with Ayan Mukerji, Pritam, Manish Malhotra, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Kunaal Roy Kapur among other members of the team.

Just like life, Tribhanga is somewhat off-kilter, a little askew, at times uneven and even patchy. But the story of three generations of women from one family, spirited, unorthodox, unfettered, holds together, moles, warts and all. Tribhanga is a fiercely original film, though cinephiles would like to see distinct shades of Ingmar Bergman’s imperishable classic Autumn Sonata in Renuka Shahane’s striking debut film. But that, like much in life, is only an illusion.

The film’s scenes are ignited by the presence of Kajol. The fieriest actress on this side of Fearless Nadia and Geeta Bali, Kajol brings to Tribhanga a kind of unrehearsed ferocity that is at once intimidating, intriguing, and irresistible.

Strangely there aren’t that many confrontation scenes between mother Tanve Azmi and daughter Kajol. Maybe Ms.

Actress-turned filmmaker Renuka Shahane’s humanitarian drama Tribhanga - Tedhi Medhi Crazy does exactly that.

Deriving its title from an Indian classical dance pose which is described as imperfect but beautiful quite like the lives of these three women – grandmother Nayantara 'Nayan' Apte (Tanvi Azmi) a renowned writer and liberal thinker. Mumbai, Jan 14 (Ians) Actress Aahana Kumra is all set to make her podcast debut. She will narrate a story on the audio web series titled MnM Talkies.

"I have recently started working on this podcast, which is produced and directed by Mantra," said Aahana, about the audio story called I Hear You, which tells the story of a detective named Priyamvada Parmar.

"I am entering the voicing industry and I think Mantra is perhaps the best person to really hold my hand through this. I am very excited to collaborate with him and enter the new phase of my life. This is a new chapter in my life and I am happy to begin 2021 with this," she added.

"The audio web-series will be released in February and I hope it does the fireworks!" the actress revealed her excitement about working in the Spotify show.

On January 15th, Kajol is making her digital debut in the Netflix drama Tribhanga – Tedhi Medhi Crazy. Directed by Renuka Shahane, the film also stars Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, and Kanwaljit Singh.

Tribhanga is an Odissi dance pose that is disjointed and asymmetrical, yet mesmerizing and sensuous, so much like the lives of the three women characters of the film – Nayan, Anu, and Masha. Tribhanga – Tedhi Medhi Crazy, a searing drama set in Mumbai, weaves a complex tale that goes back and forth through three generations of the same family, from the late 1980s to today. The heart-warming storyline looks at the importance of family in everyday lives.

Mumbai, Jan 7 (Ians) Actor Kunaal Roy Kapur says he had to work extensively to ensure that he gets his Hindi diction right in upcoming digital film Tribhanga: Tedhi Medhi Crazy.

He plays Milan, a videographer, tracing the journey of Nayan, a critically acclaimed Marathi litterateur played by Tanvi Azmi, who is unable to write an autobiography. The film, written and directed by Renuka Shahane, also stars Kajol and Mithila Palkar.

"When I found out that my character is going to speak in ‘shudh' Hindi, I was amazed that she believed I could do it. For the character I had to work on my diction and ensure that I don't have any interjections in English," Kunaal said while talking about his preparations to get his Hindi diction right.

"We usually have a tendency to speak ‘Bambaiya' Hindi where you throw in a few English words but this character was very different and couldn't do that.

The trailer of Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar's film Tribhanga released on Monday and it promises a gripping story about three women, who are not "perfect" but they live their lives on their own terms.

The trailer shows Nayan (Tanvi Azmi), a critically acclaimed Marathi litterateur, admitted to a hospital after she slips into a coma and Anu (Kajol) revisiting her sour memories of her mother, with whom she shares an estranged relationship.

Tribhanga also stars Kunaal Roy Kapur and Kawaljeet Singh and is co-produced by Kajol's husband Ajay Devgn.

Mumbai, Nov 9 (Ians) Actress Shreya Chaudhry has revealed her bucket list, and it is all about trying out different things to stay motivated.

"I have always loved adventure since childhood. I believe that taking a different route from the mundane keeps one motivated in life. For me, the bucket list is what keeps me going and makes me happy," Shreya told Ians.

"I have a long list of things on my bucket list. To highlight a few -- sky diving, witnessing northern lights and, since I like flying, I would love to get pilot's license," Shreya said.

Mumbai, Oct 27 (Ians) Actor Gulshan Devaiah on Tuesday had a hilarious suggestion to Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who has tested positive for Covid-19.

Athawale, who made headlines with his 'go corona go' chant a while back, tweeted to announce on Tuesday that he has tested Covid positive.

"There is definitely a thought brewing and we are trying to develop the proper script for a new season. We intend to make a new season of the show after seeing the great response that we have got, but we are not announcing anything officially yet. This is a very special show for us. Indian cinema superstars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone will star together for the first time in an as yet untitled film.

The Telugu, Hindi and Tamil-language project hails from outside the Bollywood mainstream. But it brings together Prabhas, the reigning king of Telugu-language, or Tollywood, regional cinema, and Padukone as a model turned actress who is now regarded as Bollywood’s leading lady.
