In Possessions, actor Clive Standen stars as Pete, a grieving father who moves his 10-year-old son across the country after a tragic accident that took the life of his wife. Hoping to get a fresh start, he buys a storage unit facility that he thinks will be easy money but instead contains something far more sinister than peoples belongings. When his young son, Tyler (Mason Wells), begins to exhibit strange behavior, he employs the help of psychologist Dr. Young (Yeardley Smith), but he soon learns that whats happening to the boy is every fathers worst nightmare.

MovieWeb recently caught up with Clive Standen and Yeardley Smith to discuss the dark, psychological journey of their new horror film, Possessions. We touched on Smiths role in the film as both an executive producer and an actor and what intrigued Standen enough to say yes to the part.

The independently financed thriller Ph-1 starring Mark Kassen, Abubakar Salim, Dina Shihabi, Vinessa Shaw and Jesse L. Martin has wrapped production. Kassen directed the pic from a script he co-wrote with Cheryl Guerriero and Brent Cote. Kassen will also produce alongside Iliana Nikolic under his production banner Like Minded Entertainment.

The film follows a fast rising politician is trapped in a luxurious penthouse and forced to witness his life set ablaze by social and conventional media. As he fights to escape he also struggles to uncover who is determined to destroy him and why.

Exclusive: Mike Fleiss’ Next Entertainment has partnered with Paperclip Ltd to produce Possessions, a scripted horror feature from writer/director Brent Cote (Tainted).

While The Bachelor franchise creator-ep Fleiss previously produced films within the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hostel franchises, Possessions marks his first outing in the horror genre in recent memory. Yeardley Smith and Ben Cornwell’s Paperclip announced today that the film has entered pre-production.

The horror thriller, based on an original concept by Cornwelll, follows a father who moves his 10-year-old son across the country, following the tragic loss of his wife. While running a storage unit facility he purchased sight unseen, he seeks a fresh start. But this new chapter of his life takes a sinister turn as secrets buried behind the metal doors become a parent’s worst nightmare, taking the family down a dark psychological descent where something sinister awaits.
