It’s time once more for Wrestlemania the biggest professional wrestling and sports entertainment event for fans and performers that there is. This year the event is held in Orlando, the home of Nxt – where a lot of the current roster of superstars got their start -and as usual (at least on paper) the card doesn’t seem that great. Everywhere you turn, there are odd mashups occurring throughout comics, especially at Warner Bros. and DC Comics where the wall separating properties has crumbled. The latest example is the confounding The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania direct-to-video film. Apparently they must have had a success with The Flintstones & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania because here’s a sequel.

Thankfully, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Big Show has been frozen in ice, like a certain star-spangled Avenger, and when George Jetson thaws him out, the wrestler wants title back. He does this by vanquishing that era’s wrestle-bots and once he takes the throne, decides he wants to take over the universe. Coming to the future’s rescue as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Alicia Fox, the Uso Brothers, Sheamus and WWE impresario Vince McMahon.

In my 25 years as a wrestling fan, Royal Rumble has always been one of my favourite annual events. The opportunity to see a bunch of your favourite WWE stars and the potential for surprises make it a night to keep an eye on. This year has some interesting matches, and the Rumble itself it set to be a star-studded affair featuring a handful of veteran names from the past, primarily Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.

The Kick-Off show matches began with the women of Smackdown Live going at it in a six-woman tag team match. It was a shame that this seemingly got bumped from the main show, and I hope more effort is given to the women’s division on Smackdown soon. January 24th, 1988 was a great day in wrestling history. On that date, live on the USA Network, the WWE held their first ever Royal Rumble. In classic Vince McMahon fashion, holding this event for free on cable was a way to keep folks from ordering the Bunkhouse Stampede pay per view Jim Crockett Promotions put out that same day. The Royal Rumble match itself was revolutionary. Starting with two performers in the ring, at regularly timed intervals, another performer would come out until, in the case of the 1988 Royal Rumble, all twenty participants were in the ring. The winner of that first Rumble was Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Fast forward 29 years and here we are at the 30th Royal Rumble. Unlike the Rumble’s that have occurred the past five years, the WWE has done an amazing job of promoting this event. They have some great matches in store as well...

Rey will have more Force Visions in Star Wars: Episode VIII, and they will reportedly continue the flashback scenes that were revealed in The Force Awakens. At least that's what a new rumor claims, offering more insight into the Star Wars 8 story. At this point, no official plot synopsis for the movie has been released, and thus far, we've had to rely on a lot of speculation and word of mouth. Will we actually get to learn what happened to Luke Skywalker in the days leading up to his exile? All signs point to yes.

If ardent Tmnt fans took issue with Paramount and Dave Green’s spin on Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, let it be known that early on in development both parties had at the very least considered an alternate take on the infamous, masked vigilante.

That’s according to a series of concept art that has now surfaced for Paramount’s blockbuster sequel – drafted up by Daniel Edery and Jared Krichevsky – highlighting the early vision for not only Casey Jones, but a host of Tmnt 2‘s key characters including Splinter, Krang, Shredder and many more. Full Disclosure: I grew up a product of the 1980s and 1990s, which means I was a big fan of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books from Eastman & Laird, the original cartoon, and the first batch of live action Turtles flicks. I still have fond memories of riding my bike to the Fox Village Theater to see the original live action flick multiple times. Hell, I even had the movie novelization and soundtrack.

It essentially feels like an almost two-hour apology to the hardcore fans of the series. The last update we had on the long rumoured Venom movie is that it’s still in development, but is being produced solely by Sony Pictures and not Marvel Studios. That means it won’t be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or feature Spider-Man, but its biggest issue is the fact that Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are going to be involved. They’re essentially the ones responsible for everything that went wrong with Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man movies, so there’s definitely cause for concern there.

It looks like Venom is still happening though, and someone very keen on playing the iconic villain is WWE Superstar and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows actor Sheamus. He stars as Rocksteady in that movie, and as a genuine fan of the Spider-Man bad villain, he revealed his interest in playing the character in a recent interview.

In the wake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hitting the big screen back in 2014, very few critics were asking for more where it came from. General audiences, however, made the film a smash hit success at the box office, so it was only a matter of time before those heroes in a half shell returned to do battle with villains much more outlandish than The Shredder. In the interest of full disclosure, I’m one of those few critics who was asking for more back in 2014. And I sure am glad we got it.

Set photos during Teenage Mutant Ninja's Turtles: Out of the Shadows' on location shoot in NYC revealed that Megan Fox's April O'Neil would  share screen time with the original April O'Neil from the 1990 live-action film, Judith Hoag.  Details on Hoag's role were never revealed but cryptic tweets  last May pretty much confirmed Hoag's cameo and encounter with the Turtles.  Perhaps her character will show up in deleted scenes or an extended cut?   Teenage Mutant Ninja's Turtles: Out of the Shadows is expected to narrowly edge out X-Men: Apocalypse for the #1 spot at the domestic box office this weekend but is currently tracking to gross only half of the 2014 film's $65 million weekend haul. Dave Green’s first film, Earth To Echo, had some mighty familiar DNA. You could tell that he was a fan of ‘80s Amblin’ films and that he’d absorbed the lessons of the film on a nearly molecular level like many of the film nerd kids who grew up on those movies. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows comes out pretty darn soon, and it looks like the sequel to the 2014 Tmnt reboot wants to bombard you with easter eggs from Turtle Fandom of years gone by. One of the exciting inclusions for this sequel, if you're someone who grew up on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is the pair of Bebop and Rocksteady. The original trilogy of live-action Turtles flicks didn't feature the infamous duo and, instead, introduced Tokka and Rahzar.

This time around old-school fans can rest assured that they'll be getting legit representations of Bebop, the mutated boar, and Rocksteady, the man-rhino. It’s hardly surprising that Paramount has placed a laser focus on their hulking half-shell heroes all throughout the marketing campaign for imminent sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, but today brings forth a new clip that draws attention to the unsung human heroes anchoring all that eye-popping CG action.

Chief among them is Will Arnett and Megan Fox’s brave news reporters – Vern Fenwick and April O’Neil, respectively – who flock to the streets of the Big Apple to document the escapades of Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael. There’s also a nod to Stephen Amell’s vigilante hero Casey Jones, who enters the fray as a potential love interest to Fox’s heroine.

Vanilla Ice surprised attendees at the premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows at Madison Square Garden when he performed his classic 1991 song "Ninja Rap." The song was made famous when he performed it in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. Of course, he was joined on stage by four dancers dressed up in costumes that looked like cheap versions of the original Ninja Turtle movie costumes. It's a nice throwback to the Ninja Turtles films that many of us grew up with. For those of you not familiar with the original song, or you just want to relive its cheesy awesomeness, I included the original scene from The Secret of the Ooze below.

Back in 2014, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, which hit theaters a week after Marvel's runaway hit Guardians Of The Galaxy, surprised pretty much everyone when it grossed nearly $500 million to become a pretty solid hit and it didn't take long before Paramount greenlit a sequel. Paramount has released a final trailer plus a new TV spot for the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadow, directed by Dave Green, with the Turtles returning and Megan Fox as April O'Neil. They really went all out, bringing in every fan-favorite Tmnt character: Casey Jones, Shredder, Bebop & Rocksteady, and the iconic villain Kraang (spelled with two A's apparently). Brad Garrett voices Kraang, and after holding back in all of the previous trailers they're finally showing some footage of the squishy villain. Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. By now you're either sold on the film and excited to see it or you're not. The new trailer is loaded with new footage of the Ninja Turtles in action fighting Shredder, Rocksteady & Bebop, and Kraang. 

Producer Michael Bay and director Dave Green have incorporated a ton of characters from the original animated series, hoping that the fans will forgive them for the last film. Will it work? Only time will tell. If this sequel is a success, you can bet we'll be seeing more Ninja Turtle sequels. If it fails... well, they'll still probably keep the franchise alive anyway.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows seems hell-bent on bringing adults who grew up on the original cartoon series out to theaters with their kids. The sequel is loaded with homages to the heyday of Tmnt- things that evoke the cartoons, the video games, and the live-action movies of the late-80s/early-90s. Classic characters like Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang are going to make their first-ever big screen appearances, and they're all designed to be fairly faithful to that era.

While we've gotten plenty of time to get to know and see Bebop and Rocksteady, who are voiced by Gary Anthony Williams and WWE Superstar Sheamus, respectively, one character that we've only glimpsed is Krang. Meet Brad Garrett, the new star lending his vocal chords to Krang, the grotesque supervillain appearing in next month’s action sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Word of Garrett’s last-minute addition arrives by way of The La Times, revealing that Paramount snapped up the actor in place of Fred Armisen, who was originally announced as Krang some months ago. Alas, Armisen’s schedule didn’t align with Out of the Shadows‘ lengthy post-production process, and with only two weeks between now and release, Garrett will be the one menacing our half-shell heroes when Out of the Shadows drops on June 3.

During the WonderCon panel for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows back in March, it was revealed that Portlandia star/creator Fred Armisen would provide the voice of the iconic villain Krang. The casting took many by surprise, but it turns out that we won't be hearing Fred Armisen voicing Krang after all, when the sequel opens on June 3. A new report reveals that Brad Garrett has stepped in to replace Fred Armisen as the fan-favorite character.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Fred Armisen's casting was never officially confirmed, and he ended up dropping out over scheduling conflicts. It isn't known if the voice actor dropped out recently, or if Brad Garrett has already begun voice work for the sequel, which hits theaters in just a few short weeks. The casting switch may explain why we haven't heard Krang speak yet, even though he has been seen in recent trailers.
