Maria Coral Otero

Maria Coral was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has a double bachelor's degree in Theater and Communications from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. In 2019 she received the award for best actress at the European Film Festival for her work in the film "María," and the best actress from the Puerto Rico Film Foundation Cinefiesta. Her work has been recognized at the New York Latino Film Festival, the Festival des Films du Monde in Canada, and the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival. She trained with Dean Zayas (UPR), Carola García (UPR), Lorena Bayonas (Centro del Actor), and Scott Miller (NYU).
