Akash Mishra is a Casting director and Filmmaker who has cast for several films, web series, and advertisements. He began his career in the field of casting with advertising, and later worked on Eros International's feature film "Haathi Mere Saathi," starring Rana Daggubati. Akash served as an assistant and associate casting director on numerous feature films. His debut project was Meghna Gulzar's film "Talvar" (2015), followed by Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab," Konkona Sen Sharma's "A Death in the Gunj," Shahrukh Khan's "Raees" by Excel Entertainment, Mrighdeep Lamba's "Fukrey Returns" with Maddock Films, Irrfan Khan's "Hindi Medium," and Netflix original film "Love per Square Foot" directed by Anand Tiwari.
Mr. Majid Majidi, the Iranian film director, appreciated and thanked Akash for his auditioning skills during the casting of "Beyond the Clouds," as well as for Nandita Das's film "Manto" and Neeraj Ghaywan's award-winning short film "Juice," where Akash served as Associate Casting Director and Second Assistant Director.
Akash has also contributed to advertisements and digital content for platforms like Disney+Hotstar, POPxo, and Flying Saucer, among others. He is the founder of the casting company "Nexone Films," established in July 2020
