A new drama is coming to BET+ this winter from director Armani Ortiz (Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story).

Perimeter, set in Atlanta in the 1990s (see the trailer, below), stars Tatyana Ali alongside newcomer Ava Mone’t and Donovan Christie Jr. The series centers around the Dawn family, daughter Paige (Mone’t), a sophomore at Spelman college whose life gets off track when she falls for a bad boy type; her father, Councilman Robert Dawn (Christie), whose political ambitions on his quest to become mayor come at a grave personal and moral cost; and his wife, Connie (Ali), who tries to keep the family together. Their personal drama takes place against the larger backdrop of two of Atlanta’s biggest cultural events at the time: Freaknik and the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Oscar winner Keith Carradine (Nashville) stars as an aging musician on Fox’s Accused episode 15, “Billy’s Story.” Directed by Julie Herbert from a script by Bronwyn Garrity, the season one finale will air on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 9pm Et/Pt.

Episode 15 also stars Laila Robins as Anne Carlson, Evan Gamble as Leo, Skywalker Hughes as Jo Jo Carlson, and Janet Porter as Wendy. Tonjha Richardson plays Judge Frances Parker, Glen Michael Grant is Rod Glass, and Matthew Tissi is Prosecutor Halloway.

Crime has never not made for popular TV viewing, but in recent years especially, it’s been covered in every which way. There are shows revisiting famous transgressions from more enlightened perspectives, or more playful ones. There are procedurals centering on cops, and limited series delving into the psychologies of the perpetrators. There are crime dramas that double as character studies, as cultural critiques, as meta examinations of the genre itself.

In that landscape, a new one needs something to make itself stand out, be it vivid style, unforgettable performances, a burning sense of purpose or at least an irresistible gimmick. Fox’s anthology series Accused, despite its promising pedigree (it was developed by Howard Gordon of Homeland and 24, and based on an award-winning BBC series by Jimmy McGovern), never manages to find it. Accused has added more big names to its cast. Keith Carradine, Jason Ritter (Raising Dion), Betsy Brandt, Wrenn Schmidt (For All Mankind), and others have been added to the cast of the upcoming Fox series, per Deadline. Emma Nelson, Joanne Boland, Brad Austin, James Udom, Anne Bedian, Matthew James Thomas, Evan Gamble, Skywalker Hughes, Lyla Porter-Follows, Skylar Gaertner, Janet Porter, and Damon Redfern will also be seen in the crime thriller series.

Behind-the-scenes looks at Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” are now available for streaming through X-Ray, providing insight into the making of all eight episodes from the show’s first season. The all-new series of bonus clips is titled “The Making of ‘The Rings of Power.’”

In diving into the elaborate production of the spin-off series, viewers dig deeper into the lore of J.R.R. Tolkien’s literary universe, including the painstaking attention to detail from artisans on staff such as set decorators, costume designers and makeup artists. The new content will also include footage from production, sneak peeks at how the Middle-earth realms were designed and interviews with cast and crew.

“Our team sifted through thousands of hours of behind-the-scenes footage to develop segments that highlight the passion and care that went into creating key moments of the show,” said Craig Muller, senior creative executive for X-Ray.

Oscar winner Keith Carradine (The Power of the Dog), Emmy nominee Jason Ritter (Raising Dion), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad) and Wrenn Schmidt (Nope) have joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming anthology series Accused, based on the International Emmy-winning British series. The project comes from 24 executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and House creator/executive producer David Shore.

Developed by Gordon and co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television, Accused is based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning crime anthology. It opens in a courtroom on the accused, with viewers knowing nothing about their crime or how they ended up on trial. Told from the defendant’s point of view through flashbacks, Accused depicts how an ordinary person gets caught up in an extraordinary situation, ultimately revealing how one wrong turn leads to another, until it’s too late to turn back.

The series premieres Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 9 p.

Whitaker recently transitioned to the agency world after working as a talent manager for seven years. She previously did a two-year stint at Evolution Entertainment, where she was promoted to manager. In 2016, throughout Wisconsin, several clowns were sighted around the state. The figures would appear in alleys or dark spaces, holding black balloons. These sightings were part of the clown roaming craze, which took place throughout the year. Some of these sightings were part of director Adam Krause's publicity stunt, which hoped to draw attention to his horror short "Gags." In 2018, this short film has been developed into a feature film. This title will have its World Premiere at the Cinepocalypse Film Festival, in Chicago, Illinois. The film stars: Lauren Ashley Carter, Tracy Perez (Devil May Call), Aaron Christensen and Evan Gamble. To show in late June, a preview of the feature film Gags is hosted here. The film is an anthology. There are at least four tales, which cover socio-political issues. The short films loosely follow: a reporter, a right wing podcast pundit, a pair of cops and a trio of troublemaking teens.
