This decision has always been a divisive one, where some believe that it enhances realism and brings out the true combative nature of the sport. However, some feel this incorporation has risks and serious consequences. Though it can’t be justified, it seems Jon Moxley has developed a serious liking to color himself in his own blood in almost all of his matches.

Something similar was witnessed at Aew Dynamite, where he decided not to blade himself. Instead, he used a spiked bat to make the main event more dramatic.

In a post-screening Q&a ahead of the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, filmmaker Neo Sora discussed his nominated feature “Happyend,” a contemplative exploration of fractured friendship against the backdrop of political unrest.

Match #1: The Undisputed Kingdom (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) def. Ftr (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Cash and Roddy chain wrestled at the start of the match. Cash hip tossed Roddy. Kyle tagged in, as did Dax. Kyle kicked Dax in the chest, and Dax returned the favor with a chop. Ftr used tandem offense to knock Kyle out of the ring. Cash connected with a sliding baseball dropkick on Roddy. Roddy blocked a Ddt and then dropped Cash across the top of the barricade. Dax snap suplexed Roddy on top of Kyle.

Jujutsu Kaisen and Solo Leveling are both extremely popular anime. They are powerhouses among the modern anime series, with millions of fans worldwide. Yet, when it comes down to it, they struggle with the same fundamental issue of focusing on their protagonists.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a narrative with rich characters, lore, and development. So much so that the protagonist himself feels secondary to the narrative. The anime has faced a lot of criticism for sidelining Yuji Itadori in favor of not one but many side characters.

Characters like Gojo Satoru and Sukuna steal the spotlight and feel much more alive than Yuji, who seems to develop very little throughout. On the contrary, we have Solo Leveling, which does the exact opposite, making everything revolve around Jinwoo, the protagonist, without giving the side characters many chances to develop.

The Beast Mortos bulldozed Hologram with a running shoulder tackle. Hologram dropkicked Mortos, knocking Mortos back to the barricade. Hologram hit a swan diving hurracanrana to the outside on Mortos. The Beast Mortos pounced Hologram with a shoulder block! The Beast Mortos connected with a tornillo through the ropes! The Beast Mortos gorilla press slammed Hologram from the top rope! Hologram fired off a thrust kick and then flew out of the ring with a torpedo tope suicida, knocking Mortos into the barricade.

Jujutsu Kaisen is known for its stunning fights. The choreography and the complicated and thought-provoking curse techniques act as the power system in the series. More than two handful of fights are some of the best: Gojo versus Sukuna, Todo and Yuji versus Mahito, and even Toji versus the cursed spirit Dagon. What makes all the fights in Jujutsu Kaisen special is Akutami's genius way of making each one of them a study and analysis of the main characters. Barely any fight is done without purpose.

But when it was first released, one fight was useless, and when it ended, it only sparked more confusion and dissatisfaction with how the series was ending. That fight was between Fumihiko Takaba and Kenjaku, and it may be one of the best fights in the entire franchise.

2024 was a sad year for Jujutsu Kaisen fans as the manga series finally bid farewell and reached its conclusion by bringing an end to an extremely interesting story. However, the ending was not at all what fans expected, and thus, there was some disappointment with it. It felt a little rushed, and many character plots were left unresolved, which certainly was not good.

But to tackle this problem, Gege Akutami has decided to add some extra pages to the final volume of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga that will focus on certain characters from the series. The only problem is that the characters that will be focused on are not so important to the central storyline of the series. Thus, fans don’t care about them making the extra pages obsolete.

Welcome to this week’s review of the Aew Dynamite: Holiday Bash special, which was broadcast from the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, DC. We’ve got Excalibur, Matt Menard, and Tony Schiavone on commentary, so let’s get into the review!

Match #1: TBS Championship Match – Mercedes Moné def. Anna Jay The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Mercedes nailed Anna with the Three Amigos suplex sequence. Anna dodged a frog splash and followed up with a flipping neck breaker. Mercedes locked Anna in a straitjacket choke. Mercedes crunched Anna with a meteora off the middle turnbuckle for a near fall. Anna blasted Mercedes with a blockbuster neck breaker. Anna walloped Mercedes with three kicks in the corner. Anna flattened Mercedes with a face plant and covered the champion, but Mercedes reached over to the ropes to break the hold. Anna was looking for the Queen Slayer and hooked it on!

Jujutsu Kaisen's anime has a challenge ahead, but series creator Gege Akutami has already talked about how to fix it. Jujutsu Kaisen's second season left off with a load of momentum that's now sitting dormant. After the Shibuya Incident arc leaves total carnage in its wake, protagonist Yuji Itadori is trembling with uncertainty following Sukuna taking over his body and wreaking havoc. To make matters worse, Yuta Okkutsu, the star of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is charged with fulfilling his extermination.

Jujutsu Kaisen's third season is hotly anticipated, but one of the arcs it will cover has a weak spot. Season 3 will first cover the Itadori Extermination arc where Yuta tries to see his new mission through, but things conclude fairly quickly, setting the stage for the Culling Game arc—and that's where Season 3's troubles begin. Mappa has an amazing opportunity to overcome some of the problems with Jujutsu Kaisen's manga,...

Jujutsu Kaisen is an exciting shnen anime with side characters so interesting, they could each have their own spin-off series. Characters like Aoi Todo, Toji Fushiguro, and even Dagon aren't in the series often, but when they are, they make a huge impression. The side characters in Jujutsu Kaisen bring a lot of life to the series. As allies, they're the first ones to lift protagonist Itadori Yuji up, helping him get through all the vitriol thrown his way.

If they're villains, however, they will stop at nothing to ruin young Yuji's day. Each character has a unique relationship with Itadori and the world around them. Some want to change the world, bringing destruction with them, while characters like Nanami just want a day off. No matter which side character from Jujutsu Kaisen gets their own spin-off, it will be filled with the same high-flying action and incredible set...

Neo Sora makes his feature directorial debut with Happyend, transporting us to a speculative vision of Tokyo’s near future. As the son of renowned musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, Sora carries an artistic sensibility shaped by Japan’s social-political currents. His film explores these themes through an intimate focus on a group of high school friends.

Our characters are Yuta and Kou, who’ve been close since childhood. Life remains much as it ever was for Tokyo’s graduating seniors, even with impending catastrophe looming. Daily earthquake drills are just background noise to games and music in their makeshift clubroom sanctuary. Beneath surface calm, however, tensions are rising both in their tightknit circle and the outside world.

When a prank on a rigid principal backfires, it brings harsh new surveillance measures to the school. Freedoms once taken for granted face removal. Divisions emerge as friends discover their stances on rebellion versus obedience diverge.

2024 has seen some great animated films. Dreamworks' "The Wild Robot" has deservedly won over audiences' hearts (and the box office). "Transformers One" — a much different movie about robots — has also gotten some of the best reviews in a franchise that too often has been a punchline.

But my favorite animated film so far this year is one that might have slipped under your radar: director Kiyotaka Oshiyama's "Look Back," distributed stateside in a limited run by GKids. The film follows two Japanese girls, the plucky and bold Fujino (Yuumi Kawai) and shut-in Kyomoto (Mizuki Yoshida), who meet and become friends due to their mutual interest in art. Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which iss a special “Title Tuesday” episode broadcast from the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington. We’ve got Excalibur, Jeff Jarrett, and Tony Schiavone on commentary, so let’s get into the review!

Both men showed off incredible lucha skills, hitting a stalemate early on. Hologram drove Komander into the barricade with a big time tope suicida. Hologram hit a snap suplex. Komander kicked Hologram in the head. Komander walked the tight rope and flipped, wiping out Hologram with a hurracanrana. Komander took flight and crashed down onto Hologram on the arena floor. Komander raised his knees, blocking a 450 splash from Komander. Hologram walked the ropes and Komander power bombed Hologram out of midair! The tragic love story of Yuta Okkotsu and his childhood friend Rika is widely considered to be one of Jujutsu Kaisen's most memorable (yet heartbreaking) arcs. Now, Jjk fans outside of Japan can purchase the real-life version of Yuta Okkotsu's engagement ring.

Johnny posed in the middle of the match, taunting Darby. Darby grabbed a side headlock takeover, but Johnny came back with one of his own. Johnny TV poked Darby in the eyes and followed up with a sliding German Suplex. Darby rallied back with a superplex to Johnny TV. Johnny rolled out of the ring to collect his thoughts and his breath. Johnny smashed Darby with a Russian Leg Sweep off the apron to the arena floor. Johnny knocked Darby for a somersault backwards off the ring steps with a knee strike. Darby rallied back with a coffin drop from the top.

Aside from his magnum opus Chainsaw Man, Tatsuki Fujimoto has a diverse portfolio of works. These include several one-shot manga that are acclaimed and well-appreciated. His notable one-shot manga is Look Back which was eventually adapted into a film by director Kiyotaka Oshiyama and Studio Durian. However, there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Despite the film’s acclaim, Oshiyama won’t be animating yet another one-shot manga by Fujimoto. While the film remains an iconic masterpiece, Fujimoto’s one-shot manga Goodbye, Eri awaits an adaptation. While both mangas are impeccable in their own way, let’s take a look at what makes this piece a one-shot wonder.

Jujutsu Kaisen's final battle single-handedly sent the fandom into chaos when it teased the potential return of Gojo Satoru. The battle against Sukuna was no doubt full of unexpected plot twists, but Gojo's return is one that very few considered a real possibility, especially given Gege Akutami's dislike for the character and the closure provided after his death. That said, chapter #261 finally shed light on the matter, revealing an unexpected sacrifice by Yuta Okkotsu that made Gojo's return possible.

Chapter #261 reveals that Yuta has taken over Gojo's body using Kenjaku's Cursed Technique, revealing that the ghost Sukuna saw at the end of the previous chapter was indeed Gojo and not a hallucination on Sukuna's part. Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has finally concluded after 200+ chapters and several bittersweet moments. With Ryomen Sukuna’s reign of terror finally coming to an end, Chapter 271 brings six years of incredible storytelling to a close, leaving many fans awe-struck. Throughout the series, Gege Akutami showcased Sukuna as an opponent of unmatched strength.

Sadly, Gege Akutami concluded Sukuna’s long-anticipated end in a single chapter, leaving many fans bitterly disappointed. Regardless, fans are celebrating the return of every character who died at Sukuna’s hands, except Gojo, leaving some a bit upset by Gege’s narrative.

While fans of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga are divided on its conclusion, one aspect of its universal praise is its absolutely breathtaking artwork. Akutami’s masterful illustrations brought this dark fantasy world to life, captivating readers and setting a new standard for the manga industry. Bleach is undeniably one of the most legendary manga out there. Tite Kubo has written such an amazing world, full of iconic characters and intense fights, it’s hard not to be inspired. The mastermind behind the immensely popular manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami, is well known for their unique storytelling and skill in fusing horror aspects with the Shounen genre. However, according to many revelations, Akutami may not have reached the full extent of his potential as a horror writer because of editing choices that shaped the series into what it is now.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0, released in December 2018, is a sequel to Akutami’s Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Giga from April to July 2017. As a horror fan, Akutami initially wanted the story to have a darker theme, but the suggestion provided by the first editor altered the direction of the storyline forever.

What makes Jujutsu Kaisen unique from most other shonen genre anime is its intriguing Op characters, incredible female cast, and willingness to kill characters with no distinct plot armor.

The masterpiece created by Gege Akutami has quickly gained a large following. This is because of how professionally it executes the protocol of the shonen genre, while also being willing to break free from them.

The manga of Jujutsu Kaisen is in its final stage. Although the fans of the story are quite excited to see how the story ends, there are still many plot points that need to be addressed before that happens.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently experiencing its pinnacle moments in the manga. Gege Akutami’s series is currently witnessing indefinite amounts of twists one chapter after another. The only thing standing in the way of victory for Yuji and Yuta after Kenjaku’s death is Sukuna, and he is not going down lightly.

Recent chapters revealed that Yuji is attempting to breach the barrier that separates Sukuna’s body and Megumi’s spirit as Yuta and Rika battle Sukuna from the front. Additionally, the narrative has taken a surprising turn with the release of Chapter 251, shocking the audience. In Chapter 251, Sukuna also begins to completely turn the situation around on Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji, inflicting catastrophic damage on Yuta, the consequences of which remain unclear.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are eagerly waiting for the Culling games arc to get animated and one of the biggest reasons for this is the anticipation fans have for one of their favorite character Maki Zenin. Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen anime showed Maki being burned by Jogo during the Shibuya Incident arc and since then she has been absent from the anime series.

However, she does return in the manga and her epic transformation has taken the Jujutsu Kaisen world by storm. Fans who have not read the manga are still waiting to see the change Maki goes through. And the thing that makes it even more interesting is that she even gets insanely stronger than she was before.

Despite being a side character (although important), Yuta gives the main character vibe more than Yuji Itadori.

The plotline in the series since the beginning has shown that although Yuji has potential, he is not able to achieve success until and unless someone helps him one way or the other. Be it Sukuna, Aoi Todo, or any other character, Yuji has always needed someone to help him or rescue him.
