Greta Van Fleet, the Grammy-winning rockers from Michigan, delivered a stunning performance at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa, as part of their Starcatcher World Tour. The quartet, composed of brothers Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka, and drummer Danny Wagner, played a mix of songs from their albums, “From The Fires”, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army”, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate”, as well as new material from their latest album release “Starcatcher”.
The band opened with “The Falling Sky”, a soaring anthem that showcased Josh’s powerful vocals and Jake’s virtuosic guitar skills. The crowd was instantly captivated by the band’s energy and charisma, as they sang along to every word. The setlist continued with fan favorites such as “The Indigo Streak”, “Meeting The Master”, “Highway Tune” “Fate Of The Fateful”, “Black Smoke Rising” and “The Archer”, as well as some surprises like “Tears Of Rain...

Greta Van Fleet have shared their third album, titled Starcatcher. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
The album was recorded in Nashville by the band and Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb over sessions that guitarist Jake Kiszka described in a statement as “very instinctual.” For Starcatcher, the Michigan quartet aimed to strike at big questions like “What is this consciousness that we have, and where did it come from?” as posited by bassist Sam Kiszka, while also digging deeper into their mythical lore by revisiting concepts from their previous work, including 2021’s The Battle at Garden’s Gate.
“We had this idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe,” drummer Danny Wagner shared. “We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would come about here and there throughout our careers through this world.”

Greta Van Fleet singer Josh Kiszka publicly came out on Tuesday, writing that he’s been “in a loving, same-sex relationship with my partner for the past 8 years.” Kiszka made the announcement on his Instagram account, saying that those close to him were aware but that it was time to go wide with the news.
Kiszka noted that he felt compelled to speak up right now because his adopted home of Tennessee has been responsible for so much anti-lgbtq legislation in the last year, from its restrictive drag bill that...

Greta Van Fleet have unveiled a new song, “Sacred the Thread,” from their forthcoming third album, Starcatcher. On the new tune, the band wears its 1970s classic rock influences proudly as singer Josh Kiszka pays homage to his stage attire.
“I always like to think that some people’s first impression of Greta Van Fleet in concert is, ‘Wow, these guys really like dressing to the left and blowing shit up,'” Kiszka said in a statement. He added, perhaps with tongue in cheek, “This song is particularly important to me because it’s about my jumpsuits.”
“Sacred the Thread” marks the second piece of new music Greta Van Fleet have released off Starcatcher. Last month, the band unveiled the album’s first single, “Meeting the Master.”

Josh Kiszka was watching an ice cube rise and fall in his drink at 2 a.m. at Hollywood’s Sunset Marquis hotel last year when he came up with the lyrics for a new Greta Van Fleet song. The movements of the ice made him think of a favorite philosopher, the late British theologist Alan Watts, who described human existence as a kind of ebb and flow. “That’s what I saw in the ice cube,” says Kiszka, 24.

Classic rock revivalists Greta Van Fleet have returned with their first new song in over a year, “My Way, Soon.”
The track is a brisk rocker with a groove that shifts between a shuffle and a stomp, while plenty of spindly guitar lines peel out over top. Frontman Josh Kiszka, with his Robert Plant-esque wail, sings, “I’ve packed my bags and I’ve got my freedom/I’ve sacked the rules so I don’t have to heed them/I’ll bet on a chance if I’ve...

As we near the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, make sure you’re ready for music’s biggest night. The Best New Artist category has eight contenders in it, making it the largest number of artists ever competing in the category and the first time since 1966 that there are more than five artists vying for the title. This year’s category is heavy on country hitmakers (one of them, a pop star with a surprise crossover hit in the genre). While rock, R&B and pop nominees show off an incredible range,...
