CBS is cautiously approaching its summer schedule, with later-than-usual premieres for its returning reality hits.
The network has not disclosed a reason for the late premieres, but it's likely a result of the Hollywood Writers strike.
The chances of any of the network's scripted series returning in September are slim due to the strike showing no signs of resolution.
As a result, CBS' summer slate will get underway Friday, July 28, with the return of Secret Celebrity Renovation.
Big Brother Season 25 follows on Wednesday, August 2, and will air three days per week.
The Challenge: USA Season 2 is getting an accelerated rollout strategy, with two episodes a week for the first three weeks.
The spinoff of the MTV hit premieres on August 10.
CBS revealed some details for the premieres.

Emmy Rose, Loretta Lynn’s 23-year-old granddaughter, doesn’t necessarily think of herself as a member of a royal family. But, standing backstage at this week’s live broadcast of the memorial concert and tribute for her grandmother, she establishes exactly what “Mee-maw’s” path and ultimate destination were. “She saw herself as just a coal miners’ daughter, and she was just relaying her story,” Emmy says. “and then she became a queen for being ordinary.”

Cher's been around for, well, a long time. Some fans of pop music would say Ed Sheeran got robbed when it comes to the lack of Grammy nominations he received on Tuesday morning.
While big names such as Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars all earned a notable amount of nominations, pop stars Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry Miley Cyrus and Kesha all appeared to be snubbed.
Sheeran's album, ÷ (Divide), was one of the biggest albums of the year, with his song, "Shape of You," becoming the most streamed song of all time on Spotify. However, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter only received two Grammy nominations and not in the top categories.
"I'm more surprised that Ed Sheeran didn't receive nominations for Album, Record, Or Song of the year," one fan tweeted after the nominations were announced. The nominees are in for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and music's biggest night will feature some of your favorite artists ...though some were snubbed.
Singer-songwriter Andra Day announced the four major categories -- Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Album Of The Year -- on Tuesday's CBS This Morning.

Nobody knows better than Jason Aldean the cruel and random nature of tragedy.
When he signed up for a benefit concert back in September, he was volunteering to help hurricane victims. But by the time he took the stage in Nashville on Sunday night, he was singing, as well, for the victims of bullets that had rained down on his own Las Vegas concert.
As Aldean told the sold-out crowd at Bridgestone Arena, “It’s been a rough couple months for us up here.”
Aldean’s presence brought a raw immediacy to the evening, and the 40-year-old artist chose to respond with defiance.

Even the Sexiest Man Alive had an awkward phase.
Blake Shelton may be on top of his game this year, scoring the coveted title from People magazine just after topping the charts with his sixth career No. 1 country album, Texoma Shore. Girlfriend Gwen Stefani had plenty to say about Shelton's new status, joining the ranks of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Channing Tatum, David Beckham and yes, even The Voice frenemy Adam Levine.
"What defines sexy?" she mused in an interview with Et on Tuesday. "I think somebody that is humble, kind, down to earth, talented, on the top of their game, should I keep going?"
Shelton may be all of those things -- but "humble" seems to be taking a back seat for the time being. Just take a look at some of his recent tweets, all accentuated with the hashtag, "#donthatemebecauseimbeautiful."
