I'm a father of four, addicted to traveling, and I graduated in Cinema, Video, and Multimedia at Universidade Lusófona. I had the pleasure of having director Jorge Paixão da Costa as a professor, and it was through him that I first set foot on a film set ("Quatro vezes quatro, o triunfo da forma" - Acetato Filmes). It was also through him that I began my professional career, after receiving an invitation to join his directing team for the series Sociedade Anónima, produced by Multicena. In that series, I had the luck to cross paths with César Fernandes, who became my great mentor and role model in this professional field.
I followed my path almost exclusively at NBP/Plural, having participated in dozens of projects in various roles, within the production and directing departments. In 2014, I met director Jorge Queiroga, and it was through him that I directed for the first time in a telenovela (Mulheres - Plural). At the end of 2016, after working as a director on three telenovela projects, I ended my association with Plural, in an attempt to explore directing in other formats.
It was at that time that I met Filipa Reis, initiating a two-year collaboration with Vende-se Filmes, directing the series Madre Paula, which won the Sophia Award for Best Series in 2018, and Circo Paraíso, which was nominated for the Sophia Award for Best Series in 2019. In recent years, I have been collaborating with SP Televisão, directing various projects, notably Bar do Gilmário (2020) and, more recently, Eleitos (2023/24), a series currently airing on PrimeVideo.
