Looks like Katy Perry could be all in for being a judge on the American Idol reboot.
The 32-year-old pop star recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Tuesday, when DeGeneres -- herself a former Idol judge -- bluntly asked Perry about the reports that she's signed on as a judge on the famous music competition's upcoming revival on ABC.
"Judge not, lest you be judged, but they didn't say anything about constructive criticism, and I'm good at that," Perry said cheekily.

As DeGeneres pushed for more, Perry strategically sipped her water.
Perry later talked about her racy new single, "Bon Appetit." The track is off her highly anticipated new album, Witness, out June 9.

Caridi, 83, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in an article published on Tuesday, about getting caught lending movie screeners sent by distributors to Academy voters for Oscar consideration.
“Let me tell you something,” Caridi says. “Everybody does it, Ok? I was doing a guy a favor and he screwed me.”

A salute to some of the finest uplifting moments in film, and to cinema's ability to lift your day.
A few weeks ago we published a list of traumatic moments that have appeared in family films. Of course we all enjoyed that waltz through painful childhood nightmare fuel, but the question was raised, why not do a list of slightly more positive and upbeat movie scenes instead? Thus, this: 25 of the most triumphant movie moments of all time.
Everyone has that go-to feel-good movie which they stick on when life is getting them down. Had a bad week at work? Stick Four Weddings on. Football team lose 5-0 and get soaked through on your way home? Time for Baseketball. Leave a tenner in the pocket of your jeans that just went in the wash and thus suddenly realise that life is a never-ending cycle of pain and...

Last Year’s Winner: Viola Davis, “How To Get Away With Murder” Was It an Upset? No. Still Eligible? Yes. Hot Streak: In this ever-changing and ultra-competitive category, the longest active streak belongs to Claire Danes. Despite “Homeland” missing out on a Drama Series nod in Season 3, its star has been nominated five years running (after winning for her first two). Fun Fact: Angela Lansbury has the most nominations in this category with 12, but she never won an Emmy.

And the streak continues! Claire Danes continues to captivate the TV Academy, landing her fifth nomination in five seasons of “Homeland.” Considering she’s already won twice, odds may not be in her favorite for another trophy in 2016, but her most nuanced performance to date certainly merits the opportunity.
So who could actually walk away with Emmy?...

After working on Waitress, the indie film she wrote, directed and starred in with Keri Russell, for almost two years, actress Adrienne Shelly couldn't wait to hear if the movie had won a coveted spot at the Sundance Film Festival. "When I first read the script, I told her, 'This is going to be a big film,'" her husband, Andy Ostroy, 56, tells People in the new issue. "The pages just turned themselves." Shelly would never learn that Waitress became one of the top films of the prestigious festival - or that it became a success when it hit theaters in May 2007 and now,...

Around the turn of the millennium, countless Rabbit in the Moon tracks were in the electronic music community’s collective queue. The Tampa-based duo garnered a worldwide following for their experimental arrangements and epoch-making stage shows.
Shortly before dance music became the all-pervasive force in entertainment that it is today, the duo parted ways. However, when Ultra Music Festival 2016 released its phase 1 lineup late last year, rave scene veterans were thrilled to discover that they would play a special reunion set at the Miami massive.
Of course, until now they’ve remained relatively quiet in regards to what the reunion means for their future after the festival. Dave Christophere and Bunny were nice enough to sit down with this week though to discuss their past, present and future – and by the looks up things, they’ve got plenty on the horizon.
Check out our interview with them below, and enjoy!

How many Mark Wahlbergs are there? I ask because I like the guy who showed up in this week's "Ted 2." I like goofball Mark Wahlberg. I like belligerent Boston Mark Wahlberg. I like dancing silly Mark Wahlberg. I like dim bulb but well-meaning Mark Wahlberg. I do not, however, care for "I'm smarter than I look" Mark Wahlberg. I do not like humorless Mark Wahlberg. I do not particularly care for serious action mode Mark Wahlberg. And when I look at the ones I don't like side-by-side with the ones I like, I find it hard to reconcile that this is all one person. So again… I ask… how many Mark Wahlbergs are there? When Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights" was released, it was a breakthrough for the young actor, part of a banner year in his nascent acting career. He had made a few films before that, including...

From ampersands to The Apprentice, from dinner ladies to Dirty Den, here's a selection of nerdy in-jokes from Doctor Who series 2...
Last month we took a look at Doctor Who Series One as it celebrated its 10th Anniversary. Specifically, we delved deep into the murky world of in-jokes and sweet nerdy references.
Let’s take another trip back in time and have a look at the more notable and interesting references and in-jokes from Doctor Who Series Two, starring David Tennant and Billie Piper, where the credit of “Doctor Who” had been changed back to “The Doctor”. Pfft, party poopers.
New Earth
Old-skool fans would have been forgiven for being excited at the prospect, given that “New Earth” was a planet mentioned in the 1974 classic Invasion Of The Dinosaurs (though it didn’t actually exist in that story, it was a fake world). But all fans could get excited at...

Drowning, rabies, electrocution: 70s public information films suggested you could die at any moment. And they were so frightening, they still haunt people today
• Peter Bradshaw on the horror of public information films
• Jude Rogers on how public information films haunt today's directors
In the mid 90s, a company secured the rights to release a selection of classic public information films on video, under the title Charley Says. I bought it not, as I suppose most people did, in a haze of nostalgia, but in the spirit of confronting a terrible fear, like those people who try to overcome their aerophobia by booking on to a course that involves a trip in a plane.
I can't remember the first time I saw The Spirit of Dark and Lonely Water, the 1973 public information film in which a Bergman-esque Death literally stalks children playing on riverbanks. That was part of the problem:...
