The following contains major spoilers for Tyler Perry's Duplicity, now streaming on Prime Video.
Tyler Perry's Duplicity is the latest collaboration between the prolific filmmaker and Prime Video, and it follows a familiar pattern for anyone's who's watched his other work. The movie is a thriller that's heavy on drama, struggles slightly with its character development, and throws in one last plot twist for shock value. It's not Perry's first foray into crime drama, but it shows that he has room to grow within that genre.
The film starts with the death of a Black man who is mistaken for a robber, and so at the beginning, Tyler Perry's Duplicity wants to be a timely movie about police shootings. But then it transitions to...

FBI: International Season 4, Episode 15, "They May Get Their Wish," is an uncomfortable episode that will mostly be remembered for being creepy. The CBS show serves up a case of the week that is satisfying because of how completely hateable the villain is, and there's plenty of action in it. But there's no significant character development, no surprises, and viewers might even roll their eyes at the subplot that is set up along the way.

The following contains major spoilers from FBI: International Season 4, Episode 14, "A Winged Lion for Protection," which debuted Tuesday, March 11 on CBS.
FBI: International Season 4, Episode 14, "A Winged Lion for Protection" is the first episode to air since CBS cancelled the series, and it shows both the untapped potential and why the network may have come to that decision. The Riley Quinn storyline comes to an end just as awkwardly as it started, and the major guest star is wasted. But there's also some solid work from the core cast, and a welcome return by a past character, even if he's not the Fly Team's friend.

FBI: International just wrote off yet another guest agent, but could they return? We need to know how the character was written out after the threats made.
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for FBI: International Season 4 Episode 14
Fans of FBI: International know the series has undergone a lot of personnel changes in the main cast. However, there have also been a variety of "guest agents" who join the team for a few episodes and then move on.
Season 2 had Zoey McKenna with the team briefly. Then Greg Hovanessian had a big role as Damien Powell, who joined the Fly Team late in Season 2, and even a brief romance with Vo. He left early in Season 3 as he wasn't comfortable with these assignments and went back to undercover work.
Season 4 introduced Jay Hayden as Tyler Booth, an old friend of new team leader Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer). The pair worked...

Fans are still reeling from the cancellations of FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted.
While many of us were begrudgingly prepared to give up one of the two, no one could’ve anticipated that we’d lose two series from the franchise in one fell swoop.
Out of the two, it likely could prevail between the cheaper expense of a series filming internationally and the vote of confidence FBI: International put into Jesse Lee Soffer headlining the show.
(Lori Allen/NBC) Does Losing Wes Mitchell Open the Door for Jay Halstead’s Return?
Shockingly, that wasn’t the case. Not only do we have to lose all the beloved characters on FBI: International whom we’ve come to know and appreciate over multiple seasons, but newbie Soffer only had a season to stretch his legs in this role before it ended.

FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted are coming to an end, but there's hope some characters can make their way to a new spinoff!
It's a big shock for FBI fans as CBS announced that both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will be ending with their current seasons. That leaves just the main FBI show, but CBS is planning a new spinoff that connects the FBI and CIA.
While it's likely that the spinoff will have several new characters, it would be fun if the show could bring in some from International and Most Wanted. Both shows boast some popular characters and actors who would fit into this new spinoff well. A few may be too tied to their respective shows (it's hard to see Remy Scott working with the CIA), but others would be a fine addition. These are a half-dozen characters from those two canceled FBI shows...

FBI was a franchise seemed to be on an upward trajectory. It had three shows on the air, and had already announced plans for a fourth. Now, however, that number has been cut in half. CBS has now axed FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted.
This is a pretty shocking turn of events. We have never really seen a network decide to pull the plug on two big name spinoffs such as these before. We're sad to see the spinoffs go, but not all hope is left. We will delve into the Dick Wolf of it all, and how there's still a chance the shows could be saved and revived via another network. But that's for another article. We want to focus on an actor.

There’ll be a lot less FBI agents on TV next season. CBS announced Tuesday that it has opted not to renew “FBI” spinoffs “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International.”
The flagship series, which stars Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki, was previously renewed through the 2026-27 TV season at CBS.
Keeping two high-profile shows on the air after multiple seasons has gotten harder as costs continue to increase in Hollywood — the fact that both shows are also produced by Universal Television, an outside studio, makes a renewal even more difficult to secure. A previously announced “FBI: CIA” project remains in development and has not yet been cast.
The cancellations also come as President Trump’s animosity towards the actual bureau continues to play out. Last month, TheWrap talked to several experts, including two former FBI agents, who discussed how this real-life situation might affect the Dick Wolf universe: None of...

The following contains major spoilers from FBI: International Season 4, Episode 13, "You've Been Greenlit," which debuted Tuesday, Feb. 26 on CBS.
FBI: International Season 4, Episode 13, "You've Been Greenlit," quickly brings Riley Quinn's story to a head -- and proves why it wasn't much of a story to begin with. The episode doesn't seem to know how to write Riley or anyone's reactions to her. As a standalone case of the week, it has more than enough drama. But as far as the show's ongoing subplot, that part doesn't work at all.

FBI: International has a new agent on board but that may spell huge trouble for Wes Mitchell!
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for FBI: International Season 4 Episode 12
FBI: International fans know about the show’s cast shakeups, which include brief stints from some characters. That included Tyler Booth (Jay Hayden), and an old friend of team leader Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer), who worked with them for a few missions before getting a new team.
FBI: International season 4, episode 12, titled “Blood Doesn’t Become Water” had the team tracking a couple suspected of killing their son in Baltimore and fleeing to Europe. Yes, we have a new character on FBI: International.
At this point, the Fly Team’s office sees more action than an actual airport. Arrivals and departures have become the norm, making it hard to keep everyone’s names straight after a while.
Oh, and don’t get too attached to anyone; they’ll disappear in the blink of an eye.
(Nelly Kiss/CBS)
I’m still trying to adjust to Wes Mitchell.
He is basically a more obnoxious but self-aware and unapologetic version of Chicago Pd‘s Jay Halstead.

FBI: International introduced a new agent to the mix when the Fly Team was sent to find a family involved in the murder of one of their sons. However, she isn’t all that she appears to be. Who is Agent Riley Quinn?
Guest star Veronica St. Clair made her debut when she was investigating the homicide of a six-year-old boy named Dillon, whose family had gone on the run with their other son, Liam. It was their stepdad who was accused of the murder and it was up to the Fly Team to bring him into custody before he could flee to Syria.

Dick Wolf's One Chicago shows have lots and lots of memorable characters at any given time, but some of them stand out from the massive crowd of Windy City first responders. That's why it came as a blow when, in 2022, "Chicago P.D." favorite Jesse Lee Soffer bid the show farewell. Soffer's Jay Halstead was a fan darling for much of his time on the show, both by himself and as one half of the popular "Linstead" relationship with Sophia Bush's Detective Erin Lindsay.
Unlike "Chicago Fire" star Yuri Sardarov -- whose character was written out as one of the major emotional blows the franchise likes to deal every once in a while -- it was immediately clear to all that Soffer's departure from the show was the actor's personal choice. He didn't really elaborate on his reasons at the time, but in a 2023 interview with Variety, Soffer finally opened...

Heading into the winter premiere of FBI: International, all eyes were on Vinessa Vidotto’s FBI Sa Cameron Vo, and understandably so. In the fall finale, Vo was in critical condition after being shot in the field and it wasn’t looking good for the longtime member of the Fly Team.

FBI: International Season 4, Episode 9, "The Kill Floor" does what it came to do. The CBS show reveals what happened to Cameron Vo and finally wraps up the Greg Csonka story arc that has now spanned multiple episodes. It's not the most memorable or successful conclusion to the plot, but it's one that audiences will be satisfied with.
"The Kill Floor" is named after a heavy-handed analogy that Csonka makes between his situation and his father's career at a slaughterhouse. But the episode itself isn't very violent or particularly action-packed. The most exciting thing that happens is Andre Raines gets abducted, yet beyond that, viewers will be able to follow along relatively easily.

Chicago Pd suffered a major blow when Jay Halstead decided to leave. The actor who played him, Jesse Lee Soffer, wanted to pursue different artistic ventures, and was subsequently written off the show. Then, months later, Soffer was cast in a central role on FBI: International.
It was a bittersweet revelation. It was fun to see Soffer back in the swing of things in a Dick Wolf show, but since the FBI franchise takes place in the same universe as One Chicago, it muddied the water for future crossover events. This is a fear that some fans had, and Pd showrunner Gwen Sigan confirmed it during a recent Screen Rant chat.
Gwen Sigan isn't sure how to juggle Soffer's roles “The Other Hard Part” – When a U.S. ambassador is taken hostage at a TV station in the Netherlands alongside 70 civilians, the Fly Team is forced to work quickly to...

Chicago P.D. showrunner Gwen Sigan addresses an FBI: International crossover with Jesse Lee Soffer's new character. The possibility of Soffer reprising the role of Jay Halstead resurfaced recently when Soffer expressed an openness to returning to Chicago P.D. despite his on-screen involvement with FBI: International which is technically part of the One Chicago universe. The actor has not appeared on One Chicago since Halstead's controversial exit in October 2022.
In an interview with Screen Rant's Rachel Foertsch, Sigan was asked about Soffer showing up to Chicago P.D. as his new FBI: International character Wes Mitchell. The executive producer and showrunner sounds unconvinced about the idea that Soffer would play two character, though she adds that Halstead could also return to One Chicago as a one-off. Read the response below:

It’s that time of year. All the network shows are taking time off for the winter, and that includes the FBI shows. All three shows are on a break for the rest of 2024, and we’ll get to see them return in 2025.
Most fall shows take a break in November and December. They then return in January, and we’re used to seeing them return by the middle of the month. That’s not happening this time. Instead, we’ll have to wait until the end of the month for CBS shows to make their return.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI, International, & Most Wanted.CBS has several reasons for not airing new episodes of the FBI shows tonight. Each series ended on an exciting note, leaving the audience to debate which is the best FBI show while waiting for the next installment. The flagship series was especially shocking, as Oa was forced to fatally shoot Clay despite feeling he owed Clay his life, leaving open the question of how he would handle the fallout from their confrontation.
Meanwhile, FBI: International's Wes Mitchell demonstrated how different he is from Scott Forrester when he decided to go rogue after Greg Csonkas, the violent criminal who killed Wes' partner in LA. The criminal escaped and shot Vo during an ambush, leaving her life hanging in the balance. Finally, FBI: Most Wanted promised emotional fallout for Ray and Sheryll after a corrupt and racist police force arrested them while they were on a case.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI: International season 4, episode 8, "You'll Never See It Coming."
FBI: International season 4, episode 8, "You'll Never See It Coming," offers a strong cliffhanger that clarifies how much the Fly Team needs Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank). Forrester was the team leader in one of the best FBI shows for the first three seasons. However, he left abruptly after Kleintank decided not to renew his contract. After Forrester went Mia and was said to be helping his fugitive mother, Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) came to Budapest in search of the person who had killed his partner in Los Angeles, becoming team leader after that case.
"You'll Never See It Coming" offers a compelling sequel to Mitchell's initial story. FBI International's returning villain Greg Csonka (Beau Knapp) is now on trial in Hungary for the murder of MItchell's partner, but the proceedings are jeopardized when he murders the star witness against him.

Jesse Lee Soffer discusses the possibility of returning to Chicago P.D. as Jay Halstead now that he's joined another show. Soffer left Chicago P.D. early on in season 10, with his final episode airing in October 2022. The exit proved controversial, with many viewers arguing that the farewell storyline was out of character for Halstead. He's not been seen on any of the One Chicago dramas since. But he's picked up a new role as Wes Mitchell in FBI: International, a spinoff of FBI, which has crossed over with the NBC procedural franchise in the past.
In comments to TVLine, Soffer opened up about the possibility of reprising the role of Jay Halstead. The actor confessed that he has no insider knowledge to share. But he did share his belief that his new role as Wes shouldn't stop him from returning as Halstead. He also says that he's fortunate to...

Chicago Pd is in a new era. The show is still going strong, but it has, admittedly, been a bumpy few years. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) were the "it" couple on the show, and the officers closest to Iu boss Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Then, everything fell apart.
Halstead quit the Iu, then left, then divorced Upton. A dejected Upton left the Iu and moved out of Chicago a season later. Other officers have since arrived to fill their spots, but there's a group of Pd fans who will always hold a special place in their heart for the Upstead era.

FBI is looking for a new agent, and there are a few reasons why Hailey Upton is perfect for the role!
FBI Season 7 opened on a big turn as Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Rene Kane) left the team. She’d been overwhelmed after losing a fellow agent the previous year and even killing the terrorist responsible didn’t help. That left Scola (John Boyd) with a partner hole and a couple of temporary partners.
The plan was for Lisette Olivera to join the show as the new character Syd Ortiz, a member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit, joining the team to help her injured sister after an attack. But in a stunning move, it was announced that Olivera left the show before her first episode even aired!

FBI: International season 4 has undergone a major change with Jesse Lee Soffer's Wes Mitchell replacing Scott Forrester as Fly Team Leader. The series continues to explore fresh storylines in its new era, exemplified by Special Agent Tate stepping into the field. "The Unwinnable War" sees Amanda go on her first undercover assignment to expose a corrupt DEA agent. With much of her work taking place behind a desk, season 4, episode 4 allows the intelligence analyst to showcase her range of skills.
Tate's mission is successful, proving she has more to offer the team than technical expertise. However, while it's clear that the agent is interested in fieldwork, any desire to change career paths is overshadowed by her commitment to Lili. Christina Wolfe shares that Amanda will continue to prioritize motherhood above all else, but her desire to have a more active role remains an internal conflict throughout the season.

The following contains major spoilers from FBI: International Season 4, Episode 5, "The Future's Looking Bright," which debuted Tuesday, Nov. 19 on CBS.
FBI: International Season 4, Episode 5, "The Future's Looking Bright" is an example of a particular trope in TV crime drama storytelling. Many shows will often use their cases of the week to illustrate some point about their characters' personal lives, resulting in a story that lacks depth. In the case of the CBS series, this episode exists largely to comment on what else is happening with Wes Mitchell.
"The Future's Looking Bright" takes its title from a line uttered by Gilbert "Gil" Schrader, a lonely businessman who's coerced to fly to Poland in order to meet the woman he's been flirting with online. It's no surprise that Gil winds up being the victim of a honey trap. While there are some genuinely shocking scenes, there's no real emotional weight to the episode,...

Tonight's episode of FBI: International Season 4, titled "The Future's Looking Bright", will see the Fly Team in Poland as they work to crack down on a kidnapping ring in Warsaw targeting unsuspecting tourists in the city. While we eagerly anticipate how the team led by Supervisory Special Agent Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) will smoke out these criminals, CBS is already teasing what their next mission will look like in the follow-up episode, They Paid More. So far this season, the team has criss-crossed the European continent to thwart threats to American citizens but for episode 6, they will be heading to a fairly unfamiliar territory in Africa.

The following contains major spoilers from FBI: International Season 4, Episode 4, "The Unwinnable War," which premiered Tuesday, Nov. 12 on CBS.
The first few FBI: International Season 4 episodes focused on the arrival of Wes Mitchell and his taking over the Fly Team. Season 4, Episode 4, "The Unwinnable War," is the first installment of the season to focus primarily on someone else. And it picks a very good subject: the team's technology expert Amanda Tate, who gets to step outside of the office -- thus giving actor Christina Wolfe much more than usual to do.
"The Unwinnable War" asks audiences to take a leap of dramatic license, as its premise is that Amanda just happens to look somewhat like a deceased DEA agent named Christina Bryant. But viewers can forgive that because of the fact that it allows Wolfe to explore her character so well, and the development that it gives to Amanda -- even the negative parts.

Wes Mitchell is a simple man: he gets justice served no matter the cost. Whether that cost is developing feuds with organized crime lords or putting his knuckles to work, he doesn't care. In his second case with the Fly Team as their boss in FBI: International Season 4, Wes leads them to find a missing teenager in Episode 3, "Nothing Sudden About It." In most cases, law enforcement gets absolute cooperation from parents when children go missing, but this is not one of those instances. Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI: International season 4, episode 2. FBI: International's Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) made an egregious error that demonstrated a big lie about replacing Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank) on the Fly Team. Forrester had been the head of the team for three years, but he disappeared near the end of season 3 when Kleintank chose to leave the series. Forrester's disappearance was not the FBI franchise exit he deserved, as he didn't get an on-screen goodbye and the team seems to have moved on easily despite their closeness with him.
Forrester's absence meant a new leader had to join the FBI: International season 4 cast. Thus, the series introduced Mitchell, the new, more unpredictable leader, in season 4, episode 1. Although Mitchell was supposedly only in Budapest temporarily, he listened to Vo about requesting the command position after the case he was working on was resolved. Warning! Spoilers ahead for FBI: International season 4.
FBI: International's season 4 premiere shows the storyline that Chicago Pd didn't after Jay Halstead exited. This article contains spoilers for FBI: International season 4, episode 1.FBI: International introduced Scott Forrester's (Luke Kleintank) replacement in its season 4 premiere. Forrester had been the head of the elite Fly Team, which investigates international crimes that affect America, for the past three years. However, Forrester was written out after Kleintank decided to leave FBI: International near the end of season 3. Although Chicago Med alum Colin Donnell stepped in as an Nsa agent during the final two episodes of the season, his character was not the team's new leader.
An FBI: International season 4 cast update during the summer revealed that Chicago Pd alum Jesse Lee Soffer would play Wes Mitchell, the new leader of the Fly Team, but did not provide any information about him other than his name. This led to widespread speculation about how Mitchell would be introduced and whether the audience would be able to successfully separate him from his former role.

Of course, that's the point of bringing in a new leader, but how excited fans are about this change of pace may vary.
"A Leader, Not a Tourist" is mostly about Soffer's character Wesley "Wes" Mitchell, a Los Angeles Police Department veteran turned FBI agent who travels to Budapest on the trail of a foreign-based robbery crew. The episode reveals Wes's past with Fly Team member Cameron Vo, and explores both...
