And Dylan O’Brien stars in Caddo Lake, a mystery thriller premiering on October 10th.

In a nutshell, that was the just completed ceremony of the Games of the Xxxiii Olympiad.

It was Tom Cruise leaping off the rim of the Stade de France to take the Olympic flag from LA Mayor Karen Bass and Simone Biles. As the guitar riffs of H.E.R. filled the air, Cruise then exited on a motorbike to deliver the flag to a sunny West Coast. It was the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish and Olympic fixture Snoop Dogg getting into the pre-recorded groove down in Long Beach.

It wasn’t telling of the full scope of Los Angeles and no mention was made of Snoop’s supposed flight from Paris to LA, but it was pure Hollywood.

It was over the top and cliche filled – – as if anything less would have sufficed.

The Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony takes place Sunday August 11 with options to watch starting at noon Pt or 3 p.m. Et. The event will be available to stream and for those who have cable, and if the live time is too early, there will be primetime viewing options later in the day at 7 p.m. Et and Pt.

Like the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony has a lineup of celebrities set to perform and a pair of athletes to serve as flagbearers for the United States in the Parade of Athletes. Spielberg, however, was not shooting an upcoming film. He wasn’t directing at all. Spielberg was the star of this shoot, a promotional project called “Land of Stories,” meant to tee up NBC’s upcoming coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Kandi Burruss has joined the second season of Hulu’s legal drama “Reasonable Doubt,” starring alongside series regulars Emayatzy Corinealdi, Morris Chestnut, McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Aderinsola Olabode and Thaddeus J. Mixson.

Burruss will take on the role of Eboni Phillips, a party girl in her youth who has since cleaned herself up.

According to an official logline, the new season follows Jax Stewart, who “after trying to heal from her wounds from last season’s arduous trial and deadly affair, is attempting to get her life back on track. That is until one of her closest friends reveals that she has killed her husband.”

“Reasonable Doubt” is created, written and executive produced by Raamla Mohamed. Clarkson and Manning will join sports commentator Mike Tirico to host the opening ceremony July 26, with Fallon and Tirico set to host the closing ceremony Aug. 11.

Clarkson and Manning first revealed their opening ceremony duties during a March appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The next day, NBCUniversal also announced Today hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb would be part of the opening ceremony coverage, set to take place around the River Seine in Paris, rather than in a sports arena as is traditional.

Jimmy Fallon will make his NBC Olympics commentator debut this summer in Paris as co-host of the network’s 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony coverage.

NBC Sports lead play-by-play broadcaster Mike Tirico will join Fallon on the telecast as co-host. A trio of veteran NBC Olympics broadcasters will also contribute to the Closing Ceremony telecast: NBC Sports’ Terry Gannon, 1998 Nagano Olympic figure skating gold medalist Tara Lipinski, and two-time Olympian in figure skating, Johnny Weir. Gannon, Lipinski and Weir will be calling their fourth NBC Olympics Closing Ceremony together.

“We are excited for Jimmy to make his official Olympic debut in an iconic setting at the biggest party in the world with Mike, while Terry, Tara, and Johnny return to provide a fashionably fun take on the pageantry and parade of athletes who competed in Paris,” NBC Olympics Production chief Molly Solomon said in a statement.

Financial matters have taken center stage in the nasty divorce between former pro football player Kroy Biermann and reality TV star Kim Zolciak.

Biermann, 38, recently filed a financial report with the court, with a spreadsheet attached that detailed Zolciak’s alleged extravagant spending while they were married. The report claims that Zolciak, 45, spent over $600,000 at luxury stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave, Chanel, Versace and Agent Provocateur between 2016 and 2023.

Additionally, Biermann’s filing states that Zolciak made substantial investments in Bitcoin and the lottery, with expenses that totaled $161,912.87 in 2021 and an additional $65,966.95 in 2022. These financial revelations come as a response to Zolciak’s request for privacy and a motion to compel Biermann to provide financial documents. Biermann challenged her privacy demands and noted her public updates on social media, which range from cosmetic procedures to Botox injections. He also alleged that Zolciak has cash stashed away in a separate bank account.
