It was recently reported that Final Destination: Bloodlines star Brec Bassinger signed on to star in the film. Alexander Garcia will be directing from his own script, with principal photography set to begin in Louisiana next month. Bassinger will be joined in the cast by Elena Kampouris (Children of the Corn), Dylan Walsh (Superman & Lois), Marissa Reyes (Ganymede), Evan Ross (The Loneliest Boy in the World), Tony Pierce (The Bodyguard), and Teri Polo (the Meet the Parents franchise).

It is yet to be revealed what role Zane will be playing in the film. Incidentally, there also hasn’t been much announced by way of plot details, but sources were able to find out that the story involves a visiting relative, played by Kampouris, who is harboring a dark secret.

Elena Kampouris (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3) has boarded alongside Bassinger, with the pair joining Dylan Walsh, Marissa Reyes (Ganymede), Evan Ross (The Loneliest Boy in the World), Tony Pierce (The Bodyguard) and Teri Polo (the Meet the Parents franchise).

The plot is being kept under wraps but is centered on a visiting relative, played by Kampouris, who is harboring a dark secret.

Bassinger is also starring in next year’s Final Destination: Bloodlines along with suspense thriller The Man in the White Van.

The Evilry is directed by Alexander Garcia from his own script. Garcia is producing under his Multi-Valence Productions banner with his producing partners Joanna Quezada, Mike Nease, and Chris Bradds. Anne Stimac, Fabian Alomar, David Bertolino, and Jason Baker are also producing.

This Fool’s days at Hulu have come to an end.

The Disney-owned streamer has opted to cancel This Fool after a two-season run, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Chris Estrada created the series and starred as Julio Lopez, a 30-year-old who lives with his family and works at a gang rehab center.

Sources say This Fool will remain on Hulu’s platform after the streamer put a big marketing push behind both seasons of the series, which despite strong reviews, failed to find an audience large enough to justify a third season. Season two last aired in July 2023.

This Fool was produced in-house by Disney’s ABC Signature and was exec produced by Estrada, showrunner Jonathan Groff (Black-ish), Fred Armisen, Pat Bishop, Matt Ingebretson and Jake Weisman.

The first trailer for Eva Longoria’s directorial debut, Flamin’ Hot, has dropped and reveals Jesse Garcia playing Richard Montañez, a go-getting Mexican American who in real life claims he went from working as a janitor at Frito-Lay to inventing the successful Flamin’ Hot Cheetos snack product.

“Spicy? See, that’s how I got here,” Montañez says at one point as the Searchlight Pictures teaser recalls his youthful past in gangs and committing petty crimes, before Longoria’s rags-to-riches story has him inventing the salty Cheetos snack for Frito-Lay.

The trailer, which Garcia narrates, shows the breakthrough moment when he discovers that adding chili seasoning to Cheetos will bring a delicious heat to the snack product and potentially woo a far wider U.S. market. “I got an idea. The most mainstream effort in that type of film would be something along the lines of Hostel: Part II. Welll, in director Waide Arron Riddle's latest effort, Something Wicked Dwells, they flip that upside down by creating equal opportunity employment for the men to get down and to get chained up instead. Making it so the women can take a break for the moment! Victims in this lineup include character actor Bill Oberst Jr. (Dismal), the male version of Debbie Rochon, who will have to think up of a way to escape or get dragged to the depths of Hell instead.
