Plot details are being kept under wraps for the film — which will be released theatrically on June 5, 2026 — but the story centers on Prince Adam of Eternia, who transforms into the muscular He-Man. With the help of his magical Power Sword, the hero is tasked with defending his home planet from the evil sorcerer Skeletor. Evil-Lyn is Skeletor’s second-in-command and wields a magic wand topped with a crystal orb.

Travis Knight is on board to direct the long-awaited new “Masters of the Universe” movie, which has been in various stages of development since 2007. Chris Butler penned the screenplay, following initial drafts written by David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee.

Back when Sony officially put the third chapter of the 23 Jump Street trilogy into motion, a feature film adaptation of the Johnny Depp-led 1980s TV series, it was revealed that the movie was being designed as a crossover with the Men in Black franchise, but it never happened. Reflecting on the R-rated comedy blockbusters, Channing Tatum has opened up that he is still very much interested in making 23 Jump Street with Jonah Hill.

Talking with ComicBook.com while promoting his upcoming movie Fly Me to the Moon, the Step Up star said, “There is a project that was written and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie. When asked by co-star Scarlett Johansson what happened, the actor said, “It’s just a lot of bureaucracy, kind of above the line stuff.

In what sounds like a Hollywood fever dream, Channing Tatum is campaigning for a blockbuster franchise crossover that would truly be out of this world.

Following the news in the 2014 Sony email leak, Tatum confirmed that a crossover of 21 Jump Street and Men in Black, entitled Mib 23, was once in development, and he’s still hoping the ambitious movie gets made.

“There is a project that was written and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie,” he told ComicBook.com after starring alongside Jonah Hill in the 2012 action comedy 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street (2014).

An adaptation of the 1987-1991 Fox series, they played two arguably youthful-looking cops assigned to go undercover in a high school. Original stars Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson and Peter DeLuise made cameos in the movie, with Richard Grieco and Dustin Nguyen appearing in the sequel.

Channing Tatum is still hoping the long-rumored third 21 Jump Street film becomes a reality.

In an interview with ComicBook.com published Monday, the Fly Me to the Moon actor reflected on reading a script for a third 21 Jump Street movie that would once again star himself and Jonah Hill.

“There is a project that was written, and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie,” Tatum said.

Following the release of the two successful 21 Jump Street films, Sony had been tossing around the idea of a crossover movie featuring two of its biggest comedy franchises, 21 Jump Street and Men in Black. Hill would later reveal that the merging of the movies was unlikely to happen.

“I had the idea,” Hill told the Toronto Sun at the time. “But I doubt that movie will get made.”
