T@gged the TV show seemingly ended its gripping teen drama at the conclusion of season 3, but will the internet sensation ever come back for a fourth season? Debuting in 2016 and directed by Hannah Macpherson, T@gged follows a gaggle of teens who are tagged in a violent video that seemingly connects their disparate paths together and launches them on a journey to uncover the mystery. Striking a middle ground between teen fantasy “The Craft” and deadly serious political allegory “The Handmaid’s Tale” is “Witch Hunt,” writer-director Elle Callahan’s second feature. Her first, the 2019 “Head Count,” was a strikingly assured supernatural mind-bender, albeit one a little too understated for some genre fans. By contrast, this sophomore effort is comparatively conventional and straightforward in depicting paranormal themes, even given the added fillip of overt current-events commentary. It’s a more uneven work nonetheless, with some odd storytelling missteps and signs of budgetary constriction. Still, the fanciful tale of minority persecution in a U.S. not so different from our offscreen reality should easily attract acquisition interest around its SXSW premiere.

Things are about to get dicey on Legacies. 

The CW has released new photos, and a synopsis for Legacies Season 1 Episode 10, and it teases some big changes for the freshman drama series. 

"Following a stay in Europe with her mother, Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) returns to Mystic Falls and comes face to face with someone who could make all her wishes come true -- including making Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) disappear," reads the official logline for "There's A World Where Your Dreams Came True."

The good news here is that we know Lizzie and Josie will be back at the school. 

If you watch Legacies online, you know that they left the school temporarily following the short-term resurrection of their biological mother, Jo.

It turns out; they just couldn't process all of the grief, so they went to spend some time with Caroline.

Legacies is the third entry in The Vampire Diaries Universe.

Yes, it's still super weird what the powers that be have named this universe, but here we are.

Jo Laughlin made her return on Legacies Season 1 Episode 6, and as expected, it was a short-lived affair. 

With monsters popping up every single week, it was about time we had one that was deeply rooted in the show that kick-started the franchise. 

Jo was a great character on The Vampire Diaries Season 6, and her character was one of my favorites, so bringing her back from the dead just to off her again was always going to leave me with a lot of emotions. 

It's hard to believe sixteen years have passed since that fateful wedding, but "Mombie Dearest" was an invaluable gift that Alaric, Josie, Lizzie, and even Jo will recall for years to come.

After an initial glut in the 1980s (thanks to the Mad Max series and its countless cheap knock-offs), the genre faded back for a number of years, but has come back with a vengeance in the 2000s and beyond, maybe because it’s an easier way to shoot a movie on a low budget, maybe because of the popularity of The Walking Dead, or maybe because the political climate has grown more tumultuous and divisive over the last decade, making many of us wonder how we’re going to continue living together as a society. There are two kinds of people still watching The Walking Dead: those who love the gore quotient and believe zombies are the true enemy of the people and those who understand that the undead are merely a catalyst to expose the evil that has always lived within. I’m of the latter group because the drama is always more real when it builds between two very different people trying to survive via diametrically opposed ways than when it’s just the living bashing the skulls of unfeeling hollow shells. So it intrigued me when hearing zombie film What Still Remains called an apocalyptic thriller. The two descriptions are hardly mutually exclusive, but they do both sell vastly different content. Writer/director Josh Mendoza’s world isn’t being consumed. It already has been.

Comedian George Lopez and Lana Parrilla have joined Bobby Soto and Shia Labeouf in David Ayer’s crime thriller “Tax Collector,” which has started shooting in Los Angeles.

Cross Creek Pictures is financing “Tax Collector,” a co-production between Cross Creek and Cedar Park Entertainment, Ayer’s production company. Ayer and Chris Long of Cedar Park are the producers. The filmmakers are keeping the logline under wraps.

Ayer’s directing credits include “End of Watch,” “Sabotage,” “Fury,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Bright.” Lopez starred in the semi-autobiographical sitcom “Lopez,” which ran on TV Land for two seasons before it was canceled last fall. Parrilla starred for six seasons as an evil queen in ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.

Gravitas Ventures has secured the North American distribution rights to What Still Remains, a post-apocalyptic thriller from Strike the Sun Entertainment. Josh Mendoza wrote and directed the film, which stars Lulu Antariksa (T@gged), Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time), and Mimi Rogers (Ginger Snaps). It follows a young woman (Antariksa) struggling to survive in a world long-since destroyed by disease. But when she accepts an invitation from a lone traveler (O’Donoghue) to join his community, she discovers there is more to fear in this world than the legends of the monsters that destroyed it. The pic will get a limited theatrical run at the Laemmle Music Hall 3 in Beverly Hills starting August 10, followed by a VOD rollout on August 14. Gravitas’ Brendan Gallagher negotiated the deal with Erik Feig Law on behalf of Strike the Sun Entertainment.

AwesomenessTV is making the jump from digital screens to television screens. Again. The multi-channel network’s hit musical web series Side Effects will make its TV debut as a 90-minute feature film on E! on April 17, 2015.

Originally released as a long-form series on AwesomenessTV’s channel in October 2013, Side Effects tells the story of 16-year-old Whitney, who experiences musical hallucinations from the medication she’s taking to deal with the loss of her mother and the disappearance of her father. The series was a hit in its original online release and garnered over two million views in its first week on YouTube.

The Side Effects’ movie iteration will include some unreleased content, and will be broadcast exclusively on E! on April 17. Nickelodeon has decided to cancel their How To Rock TV series. This is the fourth sitcom that the cable channel has announced is ending -- along with Victorious, Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, and iCarly.

How to Rock revolves around Kacey Simon (Cymphonique Miller), a popular mean girl whose status goes down after she must briefly wear braces and glasses. She's ignored by her friends so Kacey finds a new way to express herself through music. She becomes the lead singer of a pop/hip-hop band. Others in the cast include Samantha Boscarino, Max Schneider, Lulu Antariksa, Halston Sage, Noah Crawford, and Christopher O'Neal.

The show premiered to a very healthy 3.28 million viewers with a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The numbers fell over the course of the season and most recently generated 2.1 million in a 0.3 demo rating.

Exclusive: Nickelodeon has picked up live-action music comedy pilot How To Rock Braces and Glasses to series with a 20-episode order. The show starring 14-year-old singer/actress/dancer Cymphonique Miller will be titled How To Rock. It features original music and centers on a teen girl (Cymphonique) who becomes the lead singer of a pop/hip hop band. Cymphonique's casting in the project stems from a substantial talent development deal Nickelodeon signed with the teen in December 2009. Based on Alloy Entertainment's book How to Rock Braces and Glasses, the series is slated to begin production this summer in Los Angeles for a 2012 premiere. “Cymphonique is an extraordinarily talented 14-year-old who has already established herself as an actress, singer and dancer, while remaining an honor student, and How To Rock is the perfect showcase for her comedic and musical skills," said Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s President, Development and Original Programming.
