Clarke and Maza co-founded the company in 2012, securing investment from TV production and distribution firm All3Media in 2018.

They were both subsequently suspended by All3 in April this year, after UK newspaper The Guardian published an extensive investigation in which more than 20 women accused Clarke of sexual misconduct.

Noel Clarke is officially out from his production company, Unstoppable Film and TV, following multiple sexual misconduct and bullying allegations that emerged against the British actor this spring.

A spokesperson for “Fleabag” superindie All3Media, which backed Unstoppable in 2018, tells Variety: “Noel Clarke has left Unstoppable Film and TV. Jason Maza has also left the company.”

The Discovery and Liberty Global-owned All3Media began investigating Clarke immediately after an investigation by British newspaper The Guardian was published in late April. He was swiftly suspended from his company, alongside Maza, who ran the company with Clarke.

Clarke and Maza formed Unstoppable in 2007, and produced over 10 feature films, including “Brotherhood,” “10×10” and “The Fight.” The company also co-produced Sky’s buddy cop comedy “Bulletproof,” starring Clarke and Ashley Walters. The Comcast-backed broadcaster officially canceled the show in late May, as revealed by Variety.

Exclusive: The BBC has halted work on an adaptation of Alex Wheatle’s book Crongton Knights after producer Noel Clarke was accused of sexual misconduct.

"To pull this job off, you'll need a twist." Saban FIlms has released an official trailer for a new twist on the Charles Dickens' classic Oliver Twist called Twist, of course. The film is a modern day take on the story, set in London, this time about a gifted graffiti artist who joins a street gang headed by Caine's Fagin. This was originally released by Sky Cinema in the UK last year, and it was panned by critics over there, but opens anyway in the US this July for whoever is still interested. The film stars Michael Caine, Rita Ora, Sophie Simnett, Jason Maza, Franz Drameh, with David Walliams and Lena Headey and introducing Raff Law. Unfortunately it also includes Noel Clarke, who has multiple sexual assault allegations against him. The rest of the film looks quite good, though a tad on-the-nose and cheesy with all the updated London crime-thriller tropes and flashy shots.

BBC News is reporting that a third party has reported sexual offenses by a man to police following recent claims against actor Noel Clarke.

Police said they were assessing the information, which was reported on April 21. A third party report in the UK is anonymous, so the allegation cannot be investigated by the police. However, they can be compared with other reports against the same person.

This latest information comes after 20 women have accused Clarke of sexual harassment and bullying. He has “vehemently” denied any sexual misconduct or criminal wrongdoing.

“On Wednesday, 21 April, police received a third party report relating to allegations of sexual offences allegedly committed by a male over a period of time,” the Met Police said in a statement.

The allegations against Clarke are mounting. The Guardian, which broke the story against Clarke on Thursday, said six more people had now come forward with claims of misconduct,...

A report has been filed with London’s Met Police relating to sexual misconduct allegations against British actor Noel Clarke.

Met Police confirmed that they received a third party report on April 21 relating to allegations of sexual offenses by a man. Police are assessing the information, but an investigation is not currently underway.

A statement shared with Variety reads: “On Wednesday, 21 April, police received a third party report relating to allegations of sexual offenses allegedly committed by a male over a period of time.”

According to the BBC, an anonymous third party report can’t be investigated by police; however, it can be used as intelligence for cross-referencing against other reports against the same individual.

It’s still unclear who made the initial report to police.

The embattled Clarke is facing numerous sexual misconduct, harassment and bullying allegations from at least 20 women who worked with the actor-producer in a professional setting.

It has been an eye-opening 24 hours for the U.K. film and TV industries as the fall-out continues from bombshell sexual misconduct and harassment allegations against British actor Noel Clarke. (Check out Variety’s explainer about Clarke and his career to date.)

In the course of just one day, the 45-year-old actor-producer has been dropped from his management and suspended by BAFTA; production on the latest season of his police procedural show “Bulletproof” has been halted; U.S. network The CW has cut ties with the series; and his co-star and close friend Ashley Walters has spoken out against him.

All3Media, the super-indie backers of Clarke’s production company Unstoppable Film and Television, has also suspended the actor and his business partner Jason Maza. As revealed exclusively by Variety, All3Media opened a probe into Clarke’s activities with Unstoppable on Thursday, just hours after the allegations were first published by The Guardian.

This week, British actor, writer and director Noel Clarke has made headlines after being accused of groping, harassment and bullying by 20 women.

Clarke played Mickey Smith in “Doctor Who” from 2005 to 2010 and starred as Sam in the films “Kidulthood,” “Adulthood” and “Brotherhood,” which he wrote and directed, intent on bringing more representations of working-class Britain to screen. Clarke also writes, produces and plays Aaron Bishop in the British police procedural series “Bulletproof,” alongside close friend Ashley Walters.

Clarke made his film debut in 2003’s “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” and has since starred in movies including “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “Centurion,” “4.3.2.1.,” “Fast Girls,” “Storage 24,” “I Am Soldier,” “The Anomaly,” “I Kill Giants,” “Mute,” “10×10,” “The Corrupted,” “Twist” and “Sas: Red Notice.”

In 2015, Clarke founded the London-based production company Unstoppable Film and Television with Jason Maza, eventually securing investment from super-indie All3Media, which owns “Fleabag” producer Two Brothers and “1917” outfit Neal Street Productions.

Noel Clarke will be the 2021 recipient of the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at the 74th Ee British Academy Film Awards.

The award will be presented on Apr. 10 as part of the Ee BAFTA Film Awards opening night ceremony in London.

Clarke wrote and starred in the feature film Hood trilogy, “Kidulthood” (2006), “Adulthood” (2008) and “Brotherhood” (2016), and directed the latter two. The films focused on the lives of troubled teenagers turned adults living in West London. He received the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2009.

Deadline has confirmed that Anne Hathaway is set to topline StudioCanal and Blueprint Picture’s feature adaptation of Pamela Druckerman’s autobiography French Children Don’t Throw Food.

The project, which is being co-financed by the two studios, is currently in development with the latest version of the sceenplay penned by Jamie Minoprio and Jonathan Stern.

Druckerman’s autobiography follows her real-life experience as a 35-year-old American journalist in Paris contending with pregnancy and parenthood. Alex Hamilton, the former president of international and managing director of Entertainment One U.K., has been appointed CEO of Studiocanal U.K. He will be joining the company on April 22 and will report to the group CEO Anna Marsh.

During his tenure at eOne which ran from 2008 to 2019, Hamilton spearheaded the company’s U.K. film business and was responsible for acquiring and distributing in the U.K. a wide range of feature films, including the “Twilight” franchise, “12 Years a Slave,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” “Spotlight” and “Green Book.” Under his watch, eOne became a leading independent distributor in the U.K., grossing over £725m at the local box office.

The UK project will follow five female friends who come together to celebrate a wedding in a beautiful, remote location. One day before the wedding, as a treat, they go on a boat trip which descends into the stuff of nightmares.

Gaby Dellal (3 Generations) is aboard to direct the film which is the first to come to market for Studiocanal UK CEO Nicola Shindler who will produce the project in-house for the Euro studio. Script comes from Scottish novelist Cat Clarke, based on her original idea.

Saban Films has secured the North American distribution rights to Martin Owen’s drama Twist, a modern take on Charles Dickens’ classic Oliver Twist. The pic, which was acquired out of Afm and will get a theatrical release Q1 of 2021, stars Oscar winner Michael Caine, Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey, recording artist and actress Rita Ora, Raff Law, and Sophie Simnett.

Written by John Wrathall, the plot is set in contemporary London and follows a gifted graffiti artist who is lured into a street gang headed by a father figure, Fagin, who plans a series of audacious art thefts.

Noel Clarke and Jason Maza produced the pic for Unstoppable along with Pure Grass Films’ Ben Grass and Knuckle Sandwich’s Matt Williams. Sky co-produced the project which was financed by Mep Capital, Blue Rider, Arclight Films and Lipsync Productions. Arclight is handling worldwide rights.

Saban Films has picked up North American rights from Arclight Films to Martin Owen’s Charles Dickens adaptation Twist starring Michael Caine and Lena Headey in a deal that comes out of the recent Afm.

John Wrathall wrote the modern take on Dickens’ Oliver Twist and the film also stars Rita Ora, Raff Law (Repo Men), and Sophie Simnett.

Noel Clarke and Jason Maza produced Twist for Unstoppable alongside Ben Grass of Pure Grass Films, and Knuckle Sandwich’s Matt Williams. Sky served as co-producer, and financiers include Mep Capital, Blue Rider, Arclight, and Lipsync Productions.

Raff Law to lead contemporary take on ‘Oliver Twist’.

Sky is to co-produce a contemporary take on Charles Dickens classic Oliver Twist, starring Michael Caine as Fagin and newcomer Raff Law (son of Jude) in the title role.

The feature, titled Twist, will continue the UK media company’s strategy of day-and-day releases, meaning the feature will be made available to Sky’s TV customers on the same day as the planned theatrical roll-out via the paid-for subscription package Sky Cinema.

Altitude Film Distribution is set to oversee the theatrical roll-out in 2020 and Arclight Films will handle worldwide sales.

Michael Caine, Lena Headey and pop star Rita Ora are to star in “Twist,” a modern-day, gender-bending film interpretation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel “Oliver Twist” for Sky, which will release the film day and date in theaters and on its pay-tv platform.

The title role of Oliver is played by Jude Law’s son Raff Law. In this version, Oliver is reinvented as a streetwise artist living on the streets of modern-day London.

A chance encounter with a gang of grifters led by the charismatic Dodge, played by Ora, propels Twist into a high-stakes heist to steal a priceless painting for master thief Fagin, portrayed by Caine, and his psychopathic business partner, Sikes, played by Headey. Franz Drameh, Sophie Simnett and David Walliams also star.

The film goes into production in London this fall, and will be available on the Sky Cinema pay-tv service on the same day as its theatrical release.

Currently in pre-production, the film tells the story of a lauded Mma champion who unexpectedly loses a heavily promoted match to a professional wrestling star making his crossover debut in the Mma fighting world. Humiliated by the defeat, he must fight his way back to the top and earn his place for a rematch.

Cagefighter, Jesse Quinones’ upcoming Mma/WWE film starring Michael Jai White and Gina Gershon, has been boarded for international sales by UK outfit Kaleidoscope.

The project will shoot in the UK and Us later this year. Josh Herdman, Michelle Ryan and Jason Maza are also among the cast.

The film follows mixed martial arts champion Reiss (Herdman) who unexpectedly loses a heavily promoted match to Randy Stone, a WWE star who is making his crossover debut in the Mma fighting world.

Director Quinones is producing through his company Woolfcub Productions with Lorianne Hall and Terry Bird for Norton Place Pictures.

Martin Owen’s The Intergalactic Adventures Of Max Cloud, starring Scott Adkins and Tommy Flanagan, has wrapped and is being showcased by UK financing, sales and production outfit Goldfinch at this week’s European Film Market (Efm).

The project shot at Goldfinch’s York-based studio facilities and the company’s sales arm is representing the project’s UK and China rights during Efm. It has struck a deal with Flix365, the sales outfit and VoD platform, to represent rights in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, and Japan. Spi International has picked up the rest of the world.
