Warner Bros is once again digging into Fortnite as part of a promotion for Ryan Coogler‘s upcoming Sinners. Based on the film starring Michael B. Jordan, the Sawhorse-developed Sinners: Survive the Night has just launched in Fortnite, and pits teams of six players against vampires in a Survival Horror challenge.

Per Variety, Sinners: Survive the Night features likenesses of Jordan and other members of the cast in a custom map based on the film. Gameplay features an albeit expected (but welcome) twist that’s akin to Halo‘s Infection Mode: those players who have been eliminated subsequently become vampires, forcing players to fight against their former teammates.

The main goal for Human players is to survive until daylight, while the Vampires must eliminating all remaining human players before dawn. In-game currency can be collected by recruiting Npc allies and unlocking items within the experience.

4Dx is a premium format that allows films to be projected with various multi-sensory effects like rain, wind, strobe lighting and motion-seats. The goal is to fully immerse the audience in the movie and the effects allow for recreations of various effects seen on screen.

Another unsettling teaser trailer for 28 Years Laterhas been released.

Per RegalMovies on X, an eerie new teaser for 28 Years Later dropped. The short 15-second teaser features white text over a red background reading "In 28 days It began," followed by "In 28 weeks it spread," ending ominously with "In 28 years it evolved." The teaser features the same 1915 Taylor Holmes recording of Rudyard Kipling's 1903 poem "Boots" used in the film's first trailer. 28 Years Later releases in theaters on June 20th of this year.

28 Years Later will be the third entry in the post-apocalyptic horror film series, starting with the original 2002 film 28 Days Later and later the 2007 film 28 Weeks Later. The director of the original 2002 film, Danny Boyle, returns to the zombie film alongside other series veterans, including screenwriter Alex Garland and actor Cillian Murphy.

“Return to Skull Island” — from Titan Comics and Legendary Comics — is set in the world of Legendary’s “Skull Island: The Animated Series,” currently streaming on Netflix, and follows a group of survivors stranded on the perilous South Pacific island. Actor Matthew Modine, known to a generation of fans as Private J.T. “Joker” Davis from Full Metal Jacket (1987) and another generation as Dr. Martin Brenner from Netflix’s hit Stranger Things, has joined Legendary’s MonsterVerse franchise.

Per Deadline, Modine has been cast in MonsterVerse director Grant Sputore’s next feature film, which currently remains untitled. The movie serves as the follow-up to Adam Wingard's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Modine's casting follows Stranger Things co-star appearing in previous MonsterVerse films, though she's not expected to be in the next one. The two Stranger Things stars are close, as Modine even officiated Brown's wedding to Jake Bongiovi in 2024.

Things got started with Godzilla in 2014, and since then the universe has expanded with Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, the animated series Skull Island, the live-action series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. A third Godzilla / Kong mash-up is now in the works – and Deadline has just revealed that Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) is in the cast!

Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of Amy Adams and Javier Bardem for Apple TV’s ‘Cape Fear’ series adaptation.

The 10-episode series follows a happily married couple whose lives are turned upside down when a notorious killer from their past gets out of prison. Adams will play the wife, Anna, while Bardem will play the killer. Details of Wilson’s character have yet to be disclosed.
