Horror streaming channel Nyx UK is set to deliver a packed month of blood-curdling delights this March, including a tribute to the legendary David Cronenberg, a chilling nod to Nosferatu’s 102nd anniversary, and a slate of UK TV premieres. Marking International Women’s Day on March 8, Nyx UK will present the channel premiere of Devanny Pinn’s The Black Mass at 9pm, a harrowing look at the 1978 sorority house attacks committed by Ted Bundy. Pinn’s take on the case shifts the perspective away from the killer, instead focusing on the victims and their horrific ordeal. A true-crime thriller based on events in Florida during the winter of 1978, it unfolds over 24 hours and centers on a serial killer in the lead-up to his ultimate, deranged killing spree.

Exclusive: Andrew Keegan is to star in an indie drama series from horror actress Devanny Pinn.

He will play an entertainment titan in The Blvd, which is being worked up as a six-part series set in LA’s hottest boutique public relations agency during awards season.

Keegan’s character will be Jake Flynn, head of a rival PR firm that is poised to depose longstanding celebrity publicist Persephone Reed (Kinmont).

Also starring in the indie production are Chelsea Gilson, Jordi Vilasuso, Vincent Irizarry, Nichole Tom, Adam Huss, Candace Kita and Eric Himel.

The show is currently in production in LA, with Pinn (Camp Lake Pleasant) producing through her Jaguar Motion Pictures imprint from a script from Brandon Slagle and Eric Pereira.

Adam Huss (“General Hospital”), Vincent Irizarry, and Jordi Vilasuso have signed on to star in “The Blvd,” an all-new six-episode digital drama series set in the fast-paced world of a boutique public relations agency during awards season which is slated to premiere this spring.

The Black Mass, the title of actress Devanny Pinn’s directorial debut is not, as one might guess, a reference to a Satanic ritual. It’s the description one of the survivors gave of the man who, across one long night in 1978, attacked four of her sorority sisters, killing two of them as well as attacking a random woman he encountered nearby.

That man was Ted Bundy. That doesn’t mean that The Black Mass is a typical true-crime film or even a straightforward slasher film. Pinn and co-writers Eric Pereira and Brandon Slagle keep the killer in the background figuratively and literally for much of the film.

Popcorn Frights Film Festival announced today its juried and audience awards that were selected from its lineup of 119 films (51 features and 68 shorts hailing from 20 different countries) in 8 categories.

This year, the jury panel, composed of national media figures and local filmmakers, elected to honor Brandon Christensen’s The Puppetman with the Jury Prize for Best Feature Film. Christensen previously secured this award on his 2021 feature Superhost.

Christensen said in his award acceptance, “Holy shit! Popcorn Frights has always been an important stop for every one of my films to date. eOne Making TV Adaptation Of Janice Hallet’s ‘The Twyford Code’

eOne is prepping an adaptation of Janice Hallett’s The Twyford Code – the first fruits of the studio’s deal with BAFTA-winning writer-director Paul Andrew Williams. The book is written via automatic transcriptions of recordings made by a former prisoner determined to discover what happened to his teacher. eOne will co-produce with former Sky Studios drama boss Cameron Roach’s Rope Ladder Fiction, with Williams directing and eOne handling global rights. “Janice Hallett’s ingenious second novel has rightly gained a fanbase of epic proportions,” said Sharon Hughff, eOne’s Creative Director, Scripted Television, UK. Deadline revealed eOne’s deal with Williams last year and the Broadchurch director is forging scripted TV shows for all platforms.

Frost begins with a reunion between Grant and Abbey the daughter he hasn’t spoken to in five years. Another year, another chilly winter take about being stuck in a car in freezing conditions. This time the unlucky pair are a father and daughter. We meet her first – Abby (Devanny Pinn), driving along a remote road with a sign marked ‘Icy’ to visit the dad she hasn’t seen in years, not needing words to explain why. Grant (Vernon Wells) can see at a glance that she’s pregnant – almost at the end of her third trimester – and it seems like reason enough to try to patch up the relationship which has been broken since her mother’s death. She still snipes at him about his drinking, about his decision to move into the middle of nowhere and make his living by hunting and selling skins. He tries to take it in his stride. He’s missed her, and they’re both feeling excited about a better future as they drive.
