Orgil Makhaan

Orgil Makhaan was born on July 27th 1974 in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. He graduated the Russian Mongolian Joint school in 1992. After graduating with a Bachelors in German at the Mongolian University of Foreign Languages, he left to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles, USA, becoming the first Mongolian to connect the film industries of Mongolia and Hollywood. After returning to his hometown in 2001, he started his acting career as he featured in several films, playing in Main and Supporting roles. Orgil Makhaan also worked as a producer for many international and local films, TV programs, and shows. Recently, he has worked on Asia's Got Talent (2015) as the Mongolian Producer for the finalist ethnic band Khusugtun and worked as the Mongolian Service Producer for Netflix series Marco Polo (2014-2016). Today, he is working as an actor, producer and as the Adviser of Film to the President. He is the founder of Makhaan Pictures LLC and the Mongolian National Film Commission.
