Hank Voight has easily been one of the most polarizing characters in Chicago P.D. all through his time in the series. For the past decade, Voight has been recognized for his tough demeanor as the Intelligence leader and aggressive interrogation tactics toward suspects. He is a police Sergeant who always puts his unit and those in peril above himself. Voight takes drastic measures and goes beyond the law to take down murderers and criminals in Chicago.
Throughout his tenure on the show, Voight has experienced several scary moments, including losing individuals close to him and those he tried to keep out of trouble. The sergeant himself is creepy due to his intimidating presence and raspy voice when pulling information from villainous culprits. Since Voight plays his job close to the chest, he's been in many life-and-death situations, including a close call in the Chicago P.D. season 11 finale. As such,...

A hit fantasy series has sadly now left Netflix, but while this is usually bad news, there’s a little bit of magic at play this time, as you can now stream the show for free instead. Titled The Magicians, the fantasy series started life on SyFy before moving over to Netflix and, if you missed the show, now might be the best time to check it out. After all, it now won’t cost you a dime.
The Magicians is based on a trilogy of novels by Lev Grossman, and has been likened to a more adult version of the Wizarding World phenomenon Harry Potter as it follows a group of students from a secret school of magic who discover the world outside the school walls is far more dangerous than they could have imagined. Starring Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, and Summer Bishil,...

A fantasy series, with 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, is getting a new streaming home after leaving Netflix. Although it has managed to successfully launch several genres, particularly old-school thrillers like The Night Agent and supernatural teen fare such as Stranger Things and Wednesday, there's an argument to be made that the most global streaming platform has struggled to find a fantasy tentpole on the level of HBO's House of the Dragon or Prime Video's Wheel of Time.

I did wonder how well Good Omens would translate from book to screen. Well, it worked, and now we’re ready to see how it all comes to an end. Well, sort of. We’re not “ready” ready, but it does need an ending.
This is one of those series that can’t be duplicated. There isn’t anything else out there that matches the energy, but there are a fair few shows that come somewhat close. It all depends on the elements you want to gain from Good Omens in other works.
Here are six shows worth watching.

The Umbrella Academy has just premiered its final season, but there are plenty of options for shows if you like it!
The Umbrella Academy has been one of Netflix’s biggest original series. Based on the cult comic book, six superpowered kids are brought together by a millionaire to save the world. The show is known for its outlandish characters and storytelling, mixing alternate timelines, time travel and more alongside situations no other show can take on. The fourth season will wrap up the story and end the show.
Thankfully, there are some good shows just like Umbrella Academy out there. Some are based on comic books, a mix of superheroes, fantasy, sci-fi, and more with an offbeat style and pretty crazy. Streaming offers many options, while these fifteen shows are right up the alley for Umbrella Academy fans to check out if you want an unusual type of heroic show!

Nadia Decotis' murder by Gregory Yates in a crossover episode was a significant turning point in Chicago Pd. Nadia's death signaled that no one was safe in Chicago Pd. Nadia's death had a lasting ripple effect on both Chicago Pd and Law & Order: Svu.
Many Chicago Pd characters have come and gone over the course of the show's 11 seasons, but one death in season 2 still haunts me to this day (almost ten years after the episode aired). The writers of the NBC police procedural television series have never been afraid of killing off any of the show's characters, as proven by Jules Willhite's devastating murder during the pilot episode in January 2014. However, while Chicago Pd has featured several shocking deaths throughout its 200-plus episodes, one sticks out among the rest, and they didn't even die during an episode of the Chicago Fire spinoff.

Nadia's tragic death in Chicago Pd at the hands of a serial killer was a pivotal moment in Lindsay's storyline, driving her into a spiral of guilt and self-destructive behavior. Despite her untimely death, Nadia's memory was honored by the Cpd, as she was posthumously recruited as a police officer. Nadia's character served as a vehicle for Lindsay's growth and development, highlighting the impact one person can have on another's life.
Chicago Pd introduced Nadia Decotis (Stella Maeve) during the first season when she quickly formed a close bond with Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush), but just one season later, the Nadia Chicago Pd journey ended. When viewers first met Nadia, she was a sex worker (despite being underage) and struggled with narcotics dependency, so Lindsay immediately saw herself in the young woman. Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from the series finale of FX’s Mayans M.C. titled “Slow to Bleed Fair Son.”
On tonight’s episode of Mayans M.C. titled “Slow to Bleed Fair Son,” the biker gang whose origins date back to Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy and later expanded into its own spinoff series takes its last ride—and it’s messy as hell.
Without El Padrino Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) at the helm of the club, it was only a matter of time before the whole thing exploded into chaos. After being ousted by former prospect turned president Ez Reyes (Jd Pardo) in Season 4, it took some time for Alvarez to figure out what his life would look like in a post-Mayans world. As the founding member of the charter, Alvarez struggled but discovered in the finale ever so clearly that he is where...

Dick Wolf's One Chicago shows and Law & Order: Svu are heavy hitting procedural dramas making their respective marks in network and streaming television, but the kindred series could seriously benefit from reproducing yet another major crossover event. The individual series within the Wolf empire have produced intense crossovers in multiple two and three-parters to the sheer delight of fans of the franchises. In the momentous occasions the public service departments do get together, they take down some of the most dangerous and far-reaching criminals in epic mini-sagas.

This The Magicians review contains spoilers.
The Magicians Season 5 Episode 13
There was no way that The Magicians was going to be able to wrap up its five year run without displeasing fans simply by ending, but “Fillory and Further” provided a surprising amount of closure and a happier conclusion than we’re used to with this show. Compared to the death and dismemberment at the end of season one, the turning off of magic in season two, Eliot being possessed in season three, or the death of Quentin in season four, the separation of our group between Earth and the new world is downright hopeful as finales go. Even the loose threads that remain brilliantly allow for fans to draw their own conclusions about where the adventure would go from here.
That’s not to say there weren’t sacrifices. The loss of Zelda would have been a lot to...

The Magicians has been a force of nature from the very start, growing a loyal audience and weaving a tale that bridged our world with the storybook land of Fillory and has become more and more complex ever since. Given its massive appeal, including our glowing reviews over the years, the anticipation was high for the return of season 5, which turned out to be the show’s final season.
The logline for The Magicians season 5 spoke of plenty of magical mayhem that was in store:
Last season, magic was saved, but at a terrible cost: the life of Quentin Coldwater, who died heroically to save his friends— and the world. Julia, Alice, Eliot, Margo, Penny and their friends (and frenemies) must learn to navigate a world without him. Congratulations are in order for two beloved Syfy actors. The Magicians star Stella Maeve is engaged to Deadly Class actor Benjamin Wadsworth. "May 10th, this happened," Stella shared on Instagram when flashing her new piece of bling. "My love, life, wife!" As soon as the news was revealed, family, friends and followers couldn't help but congratulate the couple on their happy news. At the same time, one user couldn't help but address the fact that Benjamin is only 19 years old. Don't worry, the actor has something to say about that. "Yeah but my dog, you don't know me," Benjamin wrote in the comments section. "You don't know my relationship. I'm...

The Monster and his sister have been dealt with! On The Magicians Season 4 Episode 13 several threads from this season pull together nicely to create a satisfying, if a little rushed, conclusion.
First, let's talk about Julia. The showdown that begins at the end of The Magicians Season 4 Episode 12 is over and done with quickly, but introduces a new set of problems. Mainly, what path Julia wants to choose.
I talked a bit in my review of the last episode about how Julia hasn't had a choice, and this is yet another instance where choice is taken away from her.
She's unconscious, and Penny receives the power to decide as to whether she's going to be a full-goddess or if she's going to be a human forever.

The Magicians Season 4 Episode 12
When The Magicians gets something right, it really nails it. Here, what really works is the thematic concept that growing and evolving doesn’t mean shedding the past, and this idea appears across multiple storylines in “The Secret Sea” with impressive universality. Margo doesn’t have to give up her bitch persona just because she cares for Josh, and Quentin doesn’t have stop loving Fillory just because he’s seen its dark side. Even Christopher Plover, despite what he thinks about his own persecution, illustrates the idea to Zelda that the past remains a part of someone no matter how they change. Perhaps this will also hold true for Julia and Eliot who...

Syfy’s adaptation of Lev Grossman’s “The Magicians” fantasy novels finally goes off-book for a wholly original story in its fourth season, and the result is just as spellbinding as ever. That’s not entirely surprising since co-showrunners Sera Gamble and John McNamara had already demonstrated their ability to play fast and loose with the source material, yet stay true to its magical spirit. Despite exhausting all of Grossman’s major plots, the new adventure continues the show’s inspired storytelling, which is both a vindication and relief for longtime fans.

Syfy has renewed “The Magicians” for a fifth season just ahead of the fourth season premiere. The show has also promoted Henry Alonso Myers to co-showrunner for the fifth season.

Based on Lev Grossman’s bestselling novels of the same name, “The Magicians” centers on a group of 20-somethings from Brakebills University as they discover their magical abilities and ward off evil creatures. Currently, the characters have forgotten who they are, having had their minds wiped by “The Monster,” who has sought them out for still unknown reasons.

We caught up with Arjun Gupta and Stella Maeve to chat about their character arcs in The Magicians season 4.
There’s no show on TV that knows how to hit a reset button quite like Syfy's The Magicians. The season 3 finale left so many intriguing loose threads that it would take a full costume department working overtime just to tie everything up. Luckily, The Magicians Season 4 starts to answer questions like what’s going on with the authoritarian rule of The Library, and how Quentin will handle his complicated relationship with both magic and Fillory.
It’s not just Quentin who finds himself in a drastically different place to begin the season. The whole gang had their memories wiped in the season 3 finale and were placed back into the world in new, magic-less lives. At this point, Arjun Gupta is used to playing all different variations of Penny.

SyFy’s The Magicians has conjured its official season four trailer, showcasing the core group’s struggle to remember their identities and rediscover each other. The new episodes start on Jan. 23 at 9 Pm Et/8 Central.
Last season, the core group embarked on the epic quest of the seven keys to restore magic after it was turned off. In the finale, just as our magicians finally restored magic by unlocking the fountain at the other end of the Wellspring, the Library, Irene McAllistair and Dean Fogg swooped in to reroute magic to them.
In exchange, Dean Fogg negotiated the lives of his students, erasing their memories and giving each – except Alice who is now imprisoned by the Library – a new, magic-free identity. Even with their new identities, our core group is far from safe. Inside Castle Blackspire an ancient, powerful and unkillable Monster escaped confinement and jumped bodies to a new host, Eliot.
