Jessica Simpson is publicly flirting with Jeremy Renner.
At least, that’s what it looks like.
Fans are delighted to see the singer putting herself out there in music and beyond after the end of her 10-year marriage.
Many associate Renner with his MCU role and his still recent, bitter divorce. But Simpson seems seriously thirsty for his workout videos.

Suits LA isn’t doing it for everyone, including some die-hard Suits fans. Creator Aaron Korsh may be unable to expand the original series, but with Harvey Specter and Daniel Hardman making waves again, a Seattle-based spinoff actually makes more sense.

Suits: LA isn’t the show fans hoped it’d be, but there could be time for NBC to shift it up!
Hopes were high for Suits: LA. With the original USA Network show finding new success on Netflix, a revival show seemed a perfect idea. Sadly, with five episodes down, it’s time to face the fact that Suits: LA simply isn’t working. The factors are plentiful, but here are the key reasons why the show is in trouble and how NBC can fix it!
Ted isn’t a fun character in Suits: LA
It is fun to see Stephen Amell outside of Arrow but his Ted character isn’t working out. He’s supposed to be a top prosecutor turned entertainment/defense lawyer, but he’s not that good of an attorney in either part. He makes too many mistakes, so it's hard to buy people trusting him,...

It’s happening again, folks. Another city, another law firm, and another ambitious underdog trying to squeeze into the legendary shoes of a certain fake-lawyer-turned-actual-lawyer. But this time, Suits LA is shaking things up, and not in the way die-hard fans were expecting.
With Stephen Amell stepping in as Ted Black, the latest attempt at a Harvey Specter-level charismatic closer, the show is doing more than just introducing a new protagonist; it’s fundamentally changing what it means to be the next Mike Ross. But does that mean we’re ready to say goodbye to our favorite formula? Or will Ted Black leave us all longing for a Pearson Specter revival?

Suits LA Season 1, Episode 5, "You're On Your Own" is the best example of why the NBC show has divided audiences so deeply. It's not just the natural inclination to compare this spinoff to the original Suits. It's the fact that it's difficult to root for any of the new characters, making this show unfortunately hard to connect to.

There's simply no hiding from the poor start to life on our screens Suits LA has had. The long-awaited spinoff to the smash-hit success of Suits stuttered out of the gates on its first couple of episodes, initially leading to a poor opening score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with the series' 43% from critics paling in comparison to the huge 91% rating for the original series. Alas, as episodes have been released and Suits LA edges closer to the halfway point, it seems fortunes are yet to change, with the series' critical rating on the aforementioned site having now dropped to 39%.
From audiences, the original Suits' strong 87% rating far outshines the subpar 47% held by the spinoff, although that number is at least higher than the critical score. This is all despite keeping important continuity between the series, with original Suits creator Aaron Korsh back to craft Suits LA from the ground up,...

In its initial four episodes, Daredevil has not suited up since the action-packed opening in Daredevil: Born Again. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) has seemingly retired from his vigilante lifestyle and chosen to spend the rest of his days as a defense attorney. The Disney+ series plays out more of a law drama than other shows, such as Suits LA.
The justice system has always been used as a subplot in the Marvel franchise. When the comic book became a movie in 2003, Matt (played by Ben Affleck) defended an abused woman from gangster Jose Quesada (Paul Ben-Victor). Matt stormed out of the courtroom, unhappy with the verdict. Matt suited up and went on the prowl, attacking Quesada at a nightclub.

NBC’s Suits spinoff got to a slower ratings start than anticipated, and the network is looking to correct that, slating a Thursday night takeover March 27 with encores of three back-to-back Suits: LA episodes. They will replace previously scheduled reruns of NBC’s regular Thursday drama lineup.
Unlike most similar stunts where viewers are given a chance to catch up on a new show from the beginning, NBC will not be re-airing the Suits: LA pilot. Instead, it will rebroadcast the most recent Episodes: 3(“He Knew”), 4 (“Batman Returns”) and 5 (“You’re on Your Own”), the latter of which will air its original telecast this Sunday, March 23.
The choice likely has to do with Suits: LA‘s evolution. After a rocky start, the show started to get closer to Suits and its breezy style and lighter tone, in part due to studio UCP bringing back original directors who had shaped the USA Network series.

Losing a dream role can still sting many years later, which appears to be the case for Katie Cassidy. The actress portrayed the fan-favorite role of Laurel Lance/Black Canary on The CW's Arrow for four seasons before she was killed off in 2016. The news of Cassidy being told about her demise wasn't exactly handled the best way, and now the actress is revealing why she believes her time on the series came to an end.
During an appearance on the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Cassidy went into detail about her Arrow character being killed off and how she found out about it. News of a character's death was teased at the start of the season, but Cassidy didn't think it would be her. In a case of terrible timing, the actress found out it was her who would be meeting her end while traveling to a...

Katie Cassidy faced a tough moment in her career when she learned her character, Laurel Lance, also known as Black Canary, would be killed off on the CW show Arrow. She had been part of the series from the start, appearing in its first four seasons. The news came in 2016, catching her off guard just days before the episode was set to film.
She shared her feelings on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, Inside of You, saying, “I had to eat some humble pie when they killed me off that show. It was really hard.” Cassidy felt a mix of emotions—sadness, shock, and even anger.
She remembered being on a call with producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg, who told her, “Listen, unfortunately I have to tell you you’re the one that’s in the grave.” That moment hit her hard, especially since she loved playing Laurel...

Katie Cassidy is sharing the true details behind initially getting fired from Arrow.
The 38-year-old actress, who played Laurel Lance in the series, made an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum‘s Inside of You podcast.

In the latest episode of Smallville alum Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast (cued up above), Cassidy offers a new level of play-by-play detail about her unexpected ouster, recounting how she grew to suspect that “Laurel Lance” would be the answer to Season 4’s “Who’s in the grave?” mystery and then fast-tracking confirmation before heading to New York Comic Con.

Though "The Dark Knight" is obviously the more successful of the Christopher Nolan movies, and one of the 100 best movies of all time according by our standards, some believe it's not the best Batman movie Nolan made. That honor could go to "Batman Begins," a movie that feels more like a comic book movie than a James Bond story, a movie with fantastic production design that doesn't just look like New York City or Chicago. Instead, the film introduces Kowloon-inspired slum district of the Narrows that has become a big part of Batman mythos. "Batman Begins" also has one of the best Bat-suits in film and some incredible visuals in its recreations of all-time great scenes from Frank Miller's "Batman: Year One."

Suits LA is improving by the episode as the spin-off looks to mirror familiar themes that made the original series, Suits, a hit among audiences, while still maintaining uniqueness. Where the flagship series introduced romance through a classic office meet-cute between Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), the spin-off adopts a nuanced, layered approach. From Ted Black's (Stephen Amell) complicated history with Samantha (Rachelle Goulding) to Erica (Lex Scott Davis) and Rick's (Bryan Greenberg) charged bickering, romance is building up slowly in Suits LA. While Ted and Samantha seem to be done for good, Rick and Erica appear set up for a long-term love-hate dynamic that could potentially send sparks flying between them.

Macht’s return to the Suits universe brings back the high-powered attorney in a different light, offering a glimpse into his past and his dynamic with Ted.
In one flashback, Harvey and Ted play on a prosecutors’ league baseball team, where they debate which of them is more like Batman. During the exchange, Ted struggles with stress from his brother Eddie’s entanglement with Pellegrini, a known criminal. Later, at a bar, Harvey shares unsettling information about Pellegrini having an informant in Ted’s office, though he reassures his friend that there’s no immediate threat. Suits LAshowrunner Aaron Korsh confirms one key storyline that was cut from the series.
Speaking to TV Line, Korsh was asked if he could give any inside scoop on the apparent sexual tension or romantic history that has been hinted at between Lex Scott Davis' Erica and Bryan Greenberg's Rick. "In the original pilot, we had that as a reveal that they used to be together," Korsh responded. "And they actually end up getting together again in the pilot. But I ended up cutting that scene because I felt like, in classic Suits fashion, it's better to have them yearning for each other than it is to have them being together. But basically, yes, they used to have a romantic relationship, they don’t anymore, and they're going to go through the process of deciding if they want to again or not."

Rarely do shows become even bigger after their original run, but Suits has enjoyed such success. The legal drama series received an immense surge in popularity after it became available for streaming on Netflix and Peacock. Data from Nielsen reveals that the New York-set show was watched for a total of57.7 billion minutes on Netflix in 2023, making it the most-streamed series that year. As expected, NBCUniversal began thinking of expansion. The studio developed a new spin-off series, titled Suits LA, starring Stephen Amell (better known for his work in Arrow), which is currently airing.
Regrettably, Suits LA hasn’t been a major hit with critics. The offshoot currently has a 37% Rotten Tomatoes score, while the parent had 91%. That’s something to worry about, but things can always change. A few characters from the original are rumored to show up down the line, so the quality might improve. In the meantime,...

The following contains major spoilers from Suits LA Season 1, Episode 3, "He Knew," which debuted Sunday, March 9 on NBC.
Suits LA took its biggest step into Hollywood in Season 1, Episode 3, "He Knew," when The Office star Brian Baumgartner showed up at Black & Associates with a huge request: to meet Tom Hanks. Fictional Brian was determined to become an Oscar-winning dramatic actor. But instead of meeting the Cast Away icon, he was instead introduced to Patton Oswalt -- and that's when the episode took a hilarious turn.
