Pauley Perrette left the NCIS cast in 2018, but NCIS fans still miss her.
Pauley was one of the original NCIS fan favorites, playing forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on the CBS show from 2003 to 2018.
She brought a unique style and flare to the role and was often showcased as the brains behind solving many cases.
Many NCIS fans were shocked when Pauley left the show at the end of Season 15, and that was exacerbated by the sad storyline where her character said goodbye.
Abby’s final storyline involved MI6 Agent Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) dying as he saved her from a hitman.
NCIS fans hoped she would return after a short absence, but Pauley indicated she wasn’t interested in ever returning.

Pauley Perrette’s forensic scientist Abby Sciuto was easily one of the best characters on NCIS, thanks to her Goth style and quirky manners. She made her first appearance in the first season of the crime procedural in 2003 and continued to provide breakthroughs for the McRt team until Season 15. It was a tough pill for fans to swallow when Perrette made a dramatic exit from the series.

NCIS has featured several dramatic character exits over its 20-year run, but some deaths, like Clayton Reeves', still sting years later. Clayton's tragic death, while random, set the stage for Abby's exit, stacking two emotional departures in one episode for fans to endure. Clayton's untimely death adds to a trend of unexpected character exits on NCIS, highlighting the ever-changing nature of the show's cast.
NCIS has had many character deaths over the years, but there is one specific death I have never gotten over, even six years on. NCIS has been on the air for over 20 years and has featured several exciting and tragic plot lines. The show is known for its dramatic character exits, but it still does not hurt any less when a favorite character leaves. One character's death six years ago continues to play in the back of my mind whenever I watch NCIS.

Melissa Joan Hart is making Merry…literally! In her latest holiday movie, Mistletoe in Montana, she stars as Merry Cartwright, a Big Sky wrangler who gets roped into an unexpected romance when a dashing single dad and his kids (Hero Hunter and Mallian Butler) book a holiday stay at her dude ranch. This isn’t Hart’s first time at the Christmas-movie rodeo, but it may be the one closest to her, well, heart. She fills us in. This story is inspired by actual events, right? Melissa Joan Hart: I went to my cousin’s wedding, and this is kind of her love story. It’s the opposite, though: She went to the dude ranch, fell in love with a wrangler and then they ended up getting married at the ranch. Instead of ripped from the headlines, it’s ripped out of our real life. How much experience did you have with horses before this?...

Fred Savage makes his talk-show host debut Sunday on Fox’s “What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage” — a very real aftershow based on a very not real sci-fi series called “The Flare.” Well, not real for now, at least, as the “Wonder Years” alum is thinking maybe his show could help its fake lead-in get the green light.
“I’ll be honest, we’re hoping that it’s not so fake,” Savage — who hosts, co-created and executive produces “What Just Happened??!” — told TheWrap. “I mean, ‘The Flare’ does exist — just a scene at a time. The books are obviously completely made up, but the show itself, like, we have a real cast, a real director, and I think it’s a good show.”
“The Flare” is based on fictional author Tj Whitford’s sci-fi book series, “The Moon is the Sun at Night,” which has been a favorite of Savage’s since childhood.

If there was one thing 2018 taught us, it’s that “shocking” is a truly relative term — and we’re not even talking about real-life instances here. Yes, it’s pretty hard to blow anyone’s mind these days, including that of TV viewers, making truly gasp-worthy small-screen character deaths few and far between. But that didn’t stop several showrunners from doing their worst — er, best, to totally kill you with these on-screen passings. Obviously, spoilers ahead.

NCIS is getting personal.
On Tuesday’s episode, titled “Fake It ‘Til You Make It,” NCIS pulls the curtains back on the personal life of MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves. When a close friend, Melissa Goodman (guest star Samaire Armstrong), gets abducted, he’s forced to declassify to his comrades their connection -- that they met through Alcoholics Anonymous -- in order to help save her. But, as the team gets deeper into the mystery, they soon discover that there may be more to the story than meets the eye: Their prime suspect has his hands on top-secret military intel.

Just don’t tell series regular Duane Henry that he has been keeping a “low profile.”
“It’s not so much that, but…. I’m more what you call a ‘secret weapon,'” the affable English actor corrects with a wink and a laugh. “Pull me out when need be, because you don’t want to overwhelm people with my presence.”

Just after the episode aired, Bebe Neuwirth announced her departure from the CBS series — which she requested —via a series of tweets.

Last year, fans sat down for the NCIS TV show's season premiere knowing it was already renewed for another installment on CBS. As season 15 dawns, there is no such assurance. While there may be no need to worry that the most-watched network will cancel its most-watched scripted TV series, after a while, shows (i.e. the writers and actors) can run out of steam. Not all decisions to end successful TV series are directly ratings dependent. Still, given their druthers, most people like to go out on top. Will NCIS be renewed for another season or end here? Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you haven’t watched Tuesday’s season 15 premiere of NCIS. If you have, you may continue…
NCIS isn’t messing around in its season 15 kick-off.
On Tuesday’s action-packed premiere, titled “House Divided,” the story picks up two months after the finale, and finds Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray) locked up, looking worse for wear, in a rebel prison in Paraguay. Though there were moments where their survival seemed dicey (see: their fistfight, which was later revealed to be part of a ruse), they came out the other end alive but ultimately scarred from their experience.
“It really hits the ground running,” Murray told Et of the premiere. “It’s quite an episode. We’ve never done anything like it.” The actor breaks down the biggest developments from Tuesday’s episode and talks Maria Bello’s impending introduction, as well as the show’s “renewed” focus.

NCIS is adding some female presence.
Maria Bello has joined the cast of NCIS as a new series regular for season 15 and will be introduced in the fourth episode.
Bello will play an NCIS agent, described as "a positive force, mischievous and at times acerbic," who was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the army and served two tours in Afghanistan. After joining NCIS, she built her reputation as the agency’s premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second guess and challenge Gibbs (Mark Harmon), so there will be friction but also mutual respect.

It can be rough being part one of a two (or more!) part story.
It's easy to get relegated to set-up, with all the excitement reserved for the back half of the story. NCIS Season 14 Episode 15 didn't exactly escape that, unfortunately.
To be fair, it's a bit more complicated than that; there was a more-or-less self-contained plot for "Pandora's Box, Part I" in the less-than-fake terrorist attack that was an attempted assassination.
The connection to the follow-on portion on NCIS: New Orleans, however, depended on the rather impressively coincidental timing of a hack that resulted in the loss of Homeland Security's terrorist response playbook.
After all, Mr. Vengeance-Murder Homeland Security Aide didn't hack the playbook.
I could complain about the fact that Alex Carter's Homeland Security boss was so stupid and careless to make such a thing vulnerable in the manner he did, but that part was sadly believable.

As season 13 ended, NCIS introduced a couple of potential new regulars, and Duane Henry's Clayton Reeves was clearly the stronger character, so it was a good thing when it was announced that he'd be coming on board full-time in season 14. However, with the addition of Alex Quinn and Nick Torres this season, Gibbs' team is getting a bit crowded. Fortunately, it doesn't look like they're trying to fit Reeves in full-time with the team (at least not yet).
Here's what NCIS is doing right with Clayton Reeves so far.
